  1. On my 2001 Monaco Dynasty is there a relay or something  that provides power to the ignition switch? When I turn the ignition key on sometimes it starts ok and other times nothing happens. If I just turn on ignition and don't try to start after a few seconds all my dash instruments start turning off and on. Something is interrupting power to the ignition switch. I have replaced the starter solenoids and checked the rear/front run switch. The ignition switch was replaced about 2 years ago.

I have an 8.3 mechanical caps pump and mechanical lift pump .

would I benefit from a Fass install ?

I have a 01 Dynasty with a 8.3 ISC w/ CAPS injection pump. I installed a FASS fuel pump UP95G Kit from Utra RV products $600. I was the best thing I ever did to my engine. The kit reuses your same fuel filters, you have to get a couple of hoses made but it is a simple installation, took me about 3 hours. I also added a fuel pressure gauge at the dash so I could monitor the fuel pressure. With this kit you leave lift pump installed but disconnect a couple of the fuel lines and remove electrical connector, it reuses the fuel return line to the tank. At idle fuel pressure is 16psi, and it is adjustable at the FASS pump. Engine starts better, much more responsive on the road.

  3. MY question is the 1/2" cable loom labeled D-39 on one end and 18 on the other. It says these are spare wires. I would like to use the 18/2 shielded wire to attach to fuel pressure sending unit and gauge on other end at steering wheel. These diagrams came out of my wiring diagram book for my 01 Dynasty. My question is where are the ends located in coach?

  4. Ron that is good to hear, I was going to power it off the 20 amp dryer circuit, with a relay to control which appliance to operate, my coach didn't come prewired for a 3rd AC unit. Since I put 2 new Dometic Blizzard units on a couple of years ago, I was thinking about adding another 15K unit  and controlling it with the CCC2 thermostat.

  5. I had a Banks Power Pak System on my ISC 8.3 coach and four years ago the the controller bit the dust. Was told by Banks they no longer support my system and controller were not available. I disconnected the the controller and wiring harness, left the banks turbo, and waste gate. I installed a USDIESELCHIP Controller which I purchased from TS Performance in Bowling Green KY. I am well pleased with the performance and fuel  mileage. The only thing is I can't turn it all the way up because if I do engine warning lights come on. If I set it about 2/3rds of the way it preforms perfect.

Time flies my initial MP-8 purchase was in 2014, I had problems with it, 2015 TS Performance sent me a new and improved MP-8 Pro at no cost. Since then everything has worked fine. My horsepower has increase, fuel mileage stayed the same. On the rolling interstate hills my coach will maintain 65 or 70 what ever I have the cruise set at.

  7. I have a Hughes Watchdog hard wired. Not hard to install took me less than hour. The part I like most is the App that gives instant readout of volt and amps on each leg of power through bluetooth. Also after it saves your coach from so many electrical spikes, you don't have to throw it away just buy a new $35 replacement part and you are good to go again. It also automatically resets it's self once a problem has been taken care of.

  8. Food for thought. On my 2001 Dynasty I was having all sorts of problems with smart wheel. Wipers working intermittently, Cruise control intermittently, Air horn not working sometimes. Just about everything on the steering wheel was intermittent. What I found was their was to much grease on the brass ring that the tabs (spring clips) ride on. I cleaned it all off and sprayed it with super lube, haven't had a problem since, been working correctly for over two years.

In my coach the plumbing manifold is on the passenger side in with domestic water pump and Aqua Hot system. The thermostat with a range from zero to 50 degrees is right next to the plumbing manifold. It has a remote bulb with a capillary tube extending into the next bay where grey/black and domestic water tanks are located. I set this thermostat between 35-40 degrees, when the ambient temperature drops below it's set point it turns a aqua hot pump and heat exchanger in the storage tank area. I do not have a rocker switch in the dump area on the drivers side. I only use this option when I am on the road in freezing temperatures. At home (Tennessee) in the winter I drain the tanks so I do not have to worry about them freezing.

I also have the aqua hot book. The seventh heat exchanger is in the basement compartment where the holding tanks are located the thermostat is in the bay next to the manabloc distribution panel. I know the heat exchanger under the sofa and the ones in the kitchen are in the same loop.

If I come up with a diagram I will let you know.
