Thank you Country B. I can read it. You certainly are the go to guy for Monaco specs and info. Really appreciate it!

Thank you. Was wondering if someone knew the specifics. My guess is red is power and white is video with black being ground but was hoping for a known confirmation

In preparation for the install of my new side view cameras I was wondering if anyone knew the wiring of this plug that supplied the mirror camera. I know I can find which one is power easy when I get back to the coach but would be good to know each wires function so I can be ready. Three wires in the plug. red, black and white.
thanks!

Mikes Custom Painting in Bremen Indiana is VERY good. They won’t be the cheapest but their work and processes are top notch.

My son is a GM of a large collision facility and they are generous with the markers. Insurance companies hate “add ons” to an estimate after the green light is given so they identify anything they can that might be the slightest chance of potential additional work once they get into the job. My Blue Ox baseplate shave always come with the cable sets to tie the baseplate to the frame in case of failure. I always thought it was overkill until I saw your posting. Hope it all works out ok for you!

Looking forward to seeing pics

Insurance Co likely won’t worry about root cause. Without injury or significant loss they will likely just write the check.

The tags don’t appear to work. Just brings me back to your post. A few pics posted here would help us understand the failure

I for one apologize for contributing to the discussion of another location. I have never need to a Monacoers rally and I am new to this forum. It isn’t that I would not attend the Lazydays rally, it’s just that I am unable to attend Winter rally’s. I have hosted much smaller rallies so I do have an idea of how much work it takes but it pales in comparison to the rallies you another the others have done. My mention of another location was only to suggest an additional Summer season event. I am sorry if my comments added to your dismay and frustration. It certainly was not my intent. Despite never having attended one of your gatherings, I respect and thank you for all of the tireless, and many times thankless work.
with appreciation and respect,

We winter in Fl with the motorhome in storage up north. Would be interested in attending if there was an event further north during the Summer months.

Thanks for the info. I know what you mean about always looking for projects after retirement 👍

Looks very nice Bob. I have an unrelated question. What are the four different monitors for that I see at the helm?
safe travels!

That’s good to know. Thanks.
Honestly, I very rarely use the side cameras and would eliminate them but they are part of the system so I think it’s best to keep them activeAlso, after looking at the lights that I purchased from Velvac to go where my cameras were mounted I realized that they are simply the standard amber push on marker lights that are/were common on over the road tractors and trailers 😡. Paid $18 each for them and could have gotten them for probably $2-3. Just thought I would pass it on for those who are not aware

Thanks Scotty!
Paul, please let me know what you think once you have them. I am considering side mount cameras from Tadibrothers.com.

Thank you but I don’t go on Facebook. If anyone knows an email for him or another way I can connect with him I would appreciate it

Do you know of a contact address for Brian Cramer? Is he on the Forum? Would like to see how they worked for him.

Thank you. I will look into those as an option

We will be attending the show this year

It cost about $600 total for two arms and two bases. I don’t think they do plastic but I saw that you can but the plastic housing from Velvac for around $80 each

Thanks for the replies and info guys. I currently have the the three glass Velvac mirrors with the signal that n the glass and heated and I am happy with them. The worst part is that their chroming process is terrible and it only takes a few years for it to start failing. I have my bases and arms currently at Space Coast for replating since they have a great process. Considering this I would like to also get rid of the brick style camera enclosures. There is a couple good A/V shops near me so I will see what they can offer. I also finally did find a manufacturer that makes a nice side mount camera and I am going to call them to discuss. If I go this route I will then get the light from Velvac to fill in where the camera currently is mounted

My Coach came with the side view cameras mounted below the mirror arms. They are the ones mounted in an aluminum "box". Kind of ugly and just the right height to smack your head on if you're not paying attention. I have the mirrors apart because I am having the base and the arms replated and I am considering updating the cameras to the next generation ones that I've seen that mount in the same place but are a much more discreet and speaker design. I would also consider cameras that mount to the side of the outside wall. I've been searching and haven't been able to locate either one. Does anyone know where I may be able to find either one of these?
thanks in advance for your help!

They are a VERY good company. If they offer a service you can be confident that they have expertise in that area. They won’t be the cheapest but high quality workmanship commands a bit of a premium.
