My 2002 Windsor's outside battery cutout switch compartment door latches are defective.  They are a Southco vise action compression latch type.  Does anyone have the correct part number for these latches?  The latches I have now could be rotating the wrong way when latching when they do work.

    Thanks, Rich

Although we don't have a 2008 wiring diagram in our Downloads, the 2007 wiring diagram should be close.  Click on the title to get an option to download all pages in one file.

Frank I have 114 schematics titled 08 Diplomat but not sure if they are truly for the 08. Dates on drawings are early to late 07. I’ll have to go to my computer to upload them if you want to compare to the 07.

I replaced my aftermarket Sony camera with the original Ramco factory mirrors and cameras. I now need to wire them up to the aftermarket Sony video box. Can anyone help with the process. I have a Voyager monitor. The original ASA plug is 4 pin and the Sony is 6 pin. Both have a red, white, black and shielded wire and the Sony also has a green wire. I was hoping I could just splice the two wires together.

    Thanks

I’m probably not much help as I have the Ramco mirrors with cameras but I have the Zone Defense monitor with direct plug in. Maybe an adapter of some sort?

The footrest on our passenger captains chair stopped working. Originally I thought the motor was bad. Took it apart & found that the motor works fine - but - the plastic gear that the worm gear travels through is cracked & bound in the metal housing.

Wondering if anyone’s run across this issue & if the plastic part is available anywhere? Yes, Villa International says they can sell me the whole motor but would prefer not to drop ~$100.

    Thank You!

You might call Lise Bauer who worked for Flexsteel (if yours are Flexsteel’s) and may know a source.

I have a 2005 HR Ambassador. I understand it is the twin of the Monaco Knight. When searching for wiring diagrams in the files section there are 2002 Knight-Ambassador and 2006 Knight. Any guidance on which I should use?

I have a 2004 Knight Schematic with 50 pgs. Not sure how it compares to the 2006 of 50pgs.

Can someone give me the diameter of the fan on a 2006 Diplomat (blade tip to blade tip). Also, the shroud opening diameter. I tried to measure but it is really tough for this 83 year old body to get an accurate  measurement! I think the fan is 30" and the shroud 31". Can somebody confirm? I want to order a new fan from Source Engineering but I want to make certain I get the right one

    Thanks, Tom Staska 06 Dip

That’s a tough one! I replaced mine but then I have a 09 Knight. When u find out, also find out if you need the 1” spacer that goes behind the fan. Mine was installed without it and my engine overheated. Because the fan wasn’t far enough into the shroud and the air mostly went around it. Spacer now in and it runs cool. Unfortunately I do not know your dimensions.

Ok to follow up on my post above this. I got my sensor installed from a Polaris Slingshot pedal assembly. The years I found that have the sensor are a 2015 and 2016 (and some 2017's). What I failed to realize is the rotation of the magnet on the Polaris is clockwise. And the OEM Teleflex pedal rotates counter-clockwise. This is the same part number of the Kongsberg 6543212 sensor.

Now I'm wondering if there's a way I can make this new sensor work by switching some wires around?

So what is the cost of the Polaris sensor compared to buying the Kongsburg pedal and sensor?

  9. We recently replaced ours as it did the same thing. Unfortunately what died was the 90 degree gearbox that drives the rack and pinion. We ended up replacing whole unit at a cost of $750. Did the work myself. PM me if you want the good and the bad if this is also your problem. My motor and gearbox combo were fine. Just the 90 degree worm gearbox was the problem.

So I finally have time and hopefully decent weather to start my Beltline Repairs...anyone in the St.louis Missouri Metropolitan area want to join in? The project didn't start off as well as I had hoped. I couldn't get the slide topper off in one piece due to a split/joint in the coach side channel wouldn't allow me to slide it out.  I ended up cutting the topper so I will have to replace the fabric now.

I have similar issues. Heading to desert to hopefully be able to stay away from wet weather. And hopefully the wind will be kind to me.

    Good luck!!!

As we speak I have been looking to see if I could get replacement bushes due to the wear and tear of the originals remove the hinge strip and re bush it.If any body out there has carried out this repair I’d be interested to know which bushes to use !

I also have the 9 leaf in my 09 Knight. But have never of them going bad. But this may give u a broader range in looking for the hinge since my 09 has them too.

My experience with Lippert is my own…but, when you have a Lippert PN, it is OEM.  Ask for Parts First.  Then give them the OEM number.  They will tell you the Replacement PN.  The techs have NO DATABASE for OEM numbers.  BUT, once you have the replacement PN, then the techs can help you.  STUPID…both Sales and Tech Support say so…but no one in Lippert DP will fix.

also, the parts foks are great.  They know more about what sill work than the Tech Support.  Took 3 times to finally get the PN for my new Hydraulic and then, since there had been a massive overhaul of the syatem….she discounted it….quite a bit.

    Glad it is sorted out.

I only talked to tech support as parts sent me to them. He immediately sent me back to parts. The 117292 was the direct replacement for my 133612. The two issues with their replacement part was in essence not their fault unless they gave the wrong dimensions to Venture who is owned by Lippert. I had great conversations with Lippert once I had someone who understood my issue. And in my first call to buy the part from Lippert, I told them I found cheaper prices on the same unit elsewhere. They said no problem they would match that price with certain requirements, but didn’t have any they could get to me pronto. Also they sent me a $1000 hydraulic motor free for a spare two years ago. Very kool of them. So other than this part not being a “Direct Bolt Up” without some modifications, I’ve had good dealings with them.

  13. Update: Couldn’t find jus the 90 degree gearbox, so I ended up calling and conversing with Lippert on my situation. Apparently on all the groups I belong to, no one has had an issue with that gearbox. I guess I get the prize for being the first. Go figure. Lippert did not have a replacement (117292) in stock to get to me in time as we have to move on down the road. So I purchased one from etrailer. Received it next day. HAPPY FACE.

HERE IS WHERE THE NOT SO FUN BEGINS:

Right out of the box I noticed the New and Improved motor and gearbox that mounts to the 90 degree gearbox that mounts to the slide rail was for lack of words, wiggling. Started a case number with Lippert to complain about this “Venture” design issue. Explained I needed to install now and would take steps to make it more secure and didn’t want the warranty to be  voided. Alls good says Lippert.
I have to separate the two units to mount to slide rail (114754) only to find out the measurement from shaft center to mounting holes on 90 degree gearbox don’t match original Tuson gearbox. Back Lippert I call and add this issue to my case number. Had to talk to several people there to explain they need to let “Venture Mfg.” know about this “Direct Bolt Up Design “ failure. Had to modify with a die grinder the mounting holes on the slide rail bracket. Easy peasy. Oops I need to grind some of the rail out too as the flange bolts now run into it. All documentation sent to Lippert just incase something fails down the road. After purchasing the New and Improved 117292, I found RV Upgrades has 19 of my model 133612 in stock. Go figure!!!! Could not get any Lippert person to explain the design change. Suggested Lippert discuss this to Venture Mfg.

Failure of my part in my opinion was no lubrication.

Lippert 117292 now is installed with mods to rail 114754.IMG_6206.thumb.jpeg.fd1303161e1705fdf6925bdc7afdea0e.jpegIMG_6207.thumb.jpeg.84d9c9213c92b65e971823094499734d.jpegIMG_6204.thumb.jpeg.354c0834efe65589447b79521c02fd00.jpeg

EDIT NOTE. This is a FOLLOW UP.  Please do not start a new topic for a follow up.  This had to be Merged with the original as there is no continuity and  folks who were involved might not get the feedback, they richly deserve. End of Edit.

Thanks to Peter Schweitzer and Kenneth Cox for info on my issue. Once spacer was installed it put the fan in the correct position to push all the air through the fan housing to the radiator instead of around the fan housing.
After the install I took coach from shop on 17 mile trek (1500 altitude) to my home base (5200 altitude) on a steady climb using 2nd thru 4th gear and engine max temp was 204 a couple of times for only maybe 15 seconds and averaged 196-199.
    HAPPY DANCE!!!!!!!!

That’s just one problem! It doesn’t move. Need to get complete shaft out first. Literally no room for pullers. And it has to exit to the left with not enough room to do so unless I cut right side of shaft off. At least as far as I can see right now. I was hoping it was the plastic gear that usually fails but it was good.

Got drive shaft and worm gearbox out finally. Had to cut a hole in engine cover to get it out. There was already a hole for plumbing etc. Just made it bigger. Apparently the worm gearbox only is sold with motor/gearbox. Not sure if the new and improved model will be a direct bolt up or not yet till I start talking to people Monday. Pics of what I had to do to remove worm gearbox.IMG_6165.thumb.jpeg.76443b78eb19b953d3822ac41f67daf3.jpegIMG_6168.thumb.jpeg.29a5e2b95293c51b351a491b119d2e13.jpegIMG_6170.thumb.jpeg.e071ca5fb55df69ebc1f40bc4a8f0b6d.jpeg
