  1. Hi Laurice, I recently installed an XM/Sirius radio in my 2005 Signature. I ran the antennae cable from the radio to the driver side pillar where I tucked it behind the rubber window gasket, up to the overhead cabinets, over to within about 10" of where the TV antennae cable went to the roof, where I then came out of the cabinet. I used the same holes in the cabinets that were already there for the co-ax for the TV antennae, but did have to enlarge one of the holes. Then I just took the cable up to the roof through the TV antennae channel. I removed the TV antennae then pulled the XM/Sirius antennae through, mounted and resealed everything with Dicor self-leveling sealant (fiberglass roof). All of the wire is invisible but for about 10" from the cabinet to the TV antennae channel. Looks very clean. I hope this helps. Moe McKnight
  2. Hello friends, I am in the process of ordering Centramatic wheel balancers for my 2005 Signature Chateau IV and they have asked a question to which I can't find an answer in any of my manuals or spec sheets. They are recommending the balancers on all axles and need to know the size of the brake drum on the Dana Spicer axle on the tag. Apparently they can be either 15.5" or 16". I called a DS parts dealer and they were no help. Thank you for your help! Moe
  3. I have had the same problem and noticed it seems to be weather related. Works fine when the roof is cool but not when it’s hot. I’ve read in other forums that these fans are known to get stuck in the tacky weather sealant when it gets warm. You may want to inspect yours for overlapping sealant that may be sticking to the lid. I haven’t had a chance to inspect mine yet but it is on the “to-do” list. Good luck!
  4. Thanks Ivan. I just had the transmission serviced A few weeks ago and the tech said he filled it on the stick between med and full. It is a bear to get to the dipstick. I had the same issue before the transmission service so I know he didn’t cause it. I’ll look to see if I can find an external sensor but it sounds like the internal sensor is bad if that is what controls the shifter pad. Thanks again!
  5. I am unable to check the fluid level at the control panel of my Allison 4000 transmission on my ‘05 Signature because I can’t get the Temp gauge or Aladdin temp reading to the minimum reading for the panel to give the fluid level code. I continue to get the code indicating the tranny temp is too low, even after driving for hours. Both the gauge and the Aladdin temp readings will bounce 20 to 30 degrees at times and never match one another. Does the gauge and the Aladdin use the same sensor from the tranny? Which sensor reading does the Allison control panel use in order to allow you to see the fluid level? Where is that sensor located on that transmission? I’m stumped Thanks for your help!
  6. I’m far from an expert on batteries but if you are showing the batteries are fully charged and you are getting >12.4 v on each battery with a volt meter, I’d still look at the salesman switch or the battery disconnect by the battery compartment as possibly faulty. Have you tested voltage at those switches? Even a weak battery should burn an interior light dimly. I’ll let others give advice on how to charge the house batteries.
