There were codes that they were chasing down, it’s been a year so I can’t remember what they were, I have the paper work in the coach but it is in the storage lot. It is very hot and smokey in Seattle so I am staying put for a couple days I will look ln a couple days

I also have 2001 executive with the 500 hp Cummins with the warning light on, had it in the shop they checked the codes found nothing. Test drove the coach no change they said they would continue to try and track down the cause but we’re not hopeful and I was already at 1000 bucks , so I said I was good. Since then have driven cross country and back with no problems. That’s my 2 cents

It was the right alternator we drove across country and back it worked fine Here is the rest of the story. I use a small diesel shop for my repairs, when they finished my coach they went on vacation texted me my coach was ready and where I could find my keys. Picked it up and a week later took our short trip to the coast and the alternator failed again after about 50 miles. When I returned home I had my bill in the mail with explanation of work. Sent alternator in for repair under warranty, manufacturer repaired but they think my house batteries are bad or there is short somewhere so they will not repair again, information I wish I had before my trip. I will replace my house batteries and have my alternator rebuilt. Question is how do I check to make sure there isn’t a short somewhere before I take it out again

Yes Alt fail light comes on and gage shows no charge. I was able to drive about 80 miles to our destination and batterie are charged

I think they just get old a brittle, kinda like us. I have a 2001 I had 3 cups then 2 then one now I have none. I try to stay away from low branches

I have a 2001 executive with the 500hp Cummins. My alternator went out after 53000 miles, took it to my mechanic and he put in a new one. So we headed to the Oregon coast about 130 miles away everything was working fine for about 60 miles then it quit working. Any ideas what my problem might be. Thanks

Good luck, my warning light came on and never went off. I had engine service all fluids topped off, coolant level sensor cleaned and polished to no avail, light still on. I have driven the coach from Washington State to South Carolina and back coach performed flawlessly with warning light still shining brightly. I will be interested to see if you find a solution Tom C

I called Mike he was very easy to work with, unfortunately they no longer make the pert I need but he was able to hook me up with a replacement part. After a little adjustment ( had to put another slit in the seat ) it worked great. Thanks to Mike at Villa international and Vita for recommending him. Tom C

Chris Decided to have local rv repair replace the spring on my zip tee slide awning. 100 bucks well spent works great. Thanks for all the info you provided Tom C

Good Morning Has anyone ever had to change out a seat belt? My passenger seat belt latch has come apart and the wife says she is my most precious cargo, so I must get it fixed.

Ok Chris looks like we are going to have a couple days with out rain. So I will replace the spring

Finally got the coach out of the shop after the shop had to shut down for 2 weeks because of COVID. They could not get the warning light to go off, he did clean the coolant level sensor, no change. They said what ever caused the light to go on is not coming from the engine computer. So I guess I drive it for a while and see if it goes off

Jim That could be the problem, when I took it in they said I was a little low on coolant. I will check it out next week and let you know Tom

Vito It is just a red warning light. Manual says pull over check all fluids which I did, all fluids looked good. Took it in for service to check all fluid levels belts etc. I know it did not mean change the oil, it just needed to be done. Tomm

Good morning all I have a 2001 Monaco Executive with the 500 hp Cummins my warning light came on so I checked fluids and all were good. Since I had just bought the coach I took it in to have oil changed and everything checked out, so everything is good except they can not get the light to go out. The codes they are showing Sid 151 through 155 are all manufacturers code for r and d or along that line also code 231 bottom line they can’t find anything wrong but can’t turn the lights off only have 40000 miles on the coach. Any help would be appreciated Tom

I am going to have check the slide was out when I when I first looked at it but I can’t remember now

Hello. I have a 2001 Executive my bedroom slide awning has a broken spring and will not retract. The po bought the spring before he sold the coach to me. Is that something I can change?
