  1. Can you pour some CLR in the flushing hose a few times and see if that helps. Don
  2. Love the man cave. Nice. Don
  3. Wow Scotty good catch. I’m going to check mine in the morning.
  4. Wow really? I was thinking of eBay but a little scared of used. I already bit the bullet and ordered everything. 🥵🤯$2200. I’m going to have a Mudflap made that says MONEY PIT!!!!
  5. I called them they said they could rewind it but they don’t have the slip rings and that’s the part I need.
  6. That’s what I was thinking too you did yours in 2018. I’m going to contact Eurton and see if the have 1 or having them do a rebuild. I will keep you informed. Thanks to everyone. Don
  7. Ok guys might need a little more help. I’m having trouble finding the collector ring part that Ivan sent me. I called Cummins and talked to a gal who said she’s not real good with generators but she doesn’t think I can buy the part separately. I have to buy the stater. Do any of you guys have any other suggestions before I buy a new stater? Thanks Don
  8. Hi,Trevor the check valve keeps the water going through your fresh water hose from running BACK out of your hose. The slip rings on my generator have failed and I’m on my way home to replace them if that’s the rings you’re talking about? I have never done that repair before but some of the guys on here have so I’ll keep you guys updated. Welcome to the forum. Don
  9. Tom thank for the advice. I’m on my way back to my buddies shop in California so I can do the repair with him so I can learn more. I absolutely agree Tom tossing money at it doesn’t help. I’m trying to read and understand all the different fixes on this forum so I can do a lot of the repairs myself. I told my buddy how much Cummins wanted and he laughed. It’s cheaper to drive back to his shop and get it done. I’m retired now have to learn to fix things myself don’t have that just fix it money anymore. I will start DMing you guys more in the future. Thanks again for all your support. Don Ivan do I need to remove the generator to do that repair?
  10. They said 13 hours to fix $2000 in parts. Ivan are you saying that I can just replace the slip rings$ 4500 hours on genny.
  11. I’m at the Cummins dealer in Reno it looks like I need a new set of slip rings and brush blocks. Stator/rotor they have to order the parts and want $5500 to do it. I’m going to try and find the parts get it done back home they said I can still run it.
  12. It’s fixed there was a portable rv guy here working on another vehicle he had one on his truck and changed it for me. Thank you gentlemen for the help. I’m praying I can get in and out of the Cummins shop on Monday and get back on the road 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Don
  13. Is this the check valve if so do you know where I can find it?
  14. I’ve had that happen a few times after I washed the RV it does reset with a strong magnetic you have to hold it in the right spot and wait till you hear it click 10-20 seconds good luck. I hold mine next to the red light. Don
  15. NSooooo…. Went out yesterday to remove the new board so I could put genny back together to drive to shop Monday morning. I plugged the old board back in wiggle a few wires taped on the Leeds to the brushes thought what the heck gave it one more try and sob started right up. The flight tech thinks it’s the windings are brushing trouble so I’m going to take Tom’s advice take it in and let Cummins look at it. I don’t need any I think it’s fixed problems. Tom you’re right I will hang onto the new board for a while. Don
  16. I just had mine done they just pulled back the rubber molding and replaced all the screws and used the same molding.Don
  17. Oh so it’s a check valve I need to replace not the fresh water valve itself? Garry do you know if I can get that valve At Lowes? Don
  18. Has anyone replaced the fresh water valve on their Dynasty? I Think my valve is bad backfilling back in the freshwater hose. I’m wondering if I can get to it without taking the whole assembly apart to get to it? Thanks Don
  19. I tried the new board got rid of the code 13-14 now I have a code 32. I have an appointment for Monday morning with Cummins here in Reno let the experts figure it out. I’ll keep you posted. Don
  20. So flight services called me this morning and gave me some trouble shooting help. I did some tolerances checking across pins everything was ok. Tom the brushes are over a year old so pretty sure they are ok. The technician I spoke with gave me the option of sending me a new board to plug in to see if that is the problem she seems to think it is if not just send it back so I went that route if not to the shop it goes. I guess Reno is not the worst place to break down 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️. Thank God it didn’t happen in the middle of the summer. I let you know as soon as I know. I had it overnighted. I can’t thank you all enough for your support. I guess you know your getting older when you go to bed looking forward to hearing from a group of men lol. Don
  21. Ok so I’ve checked filters all good now it’s giving me a 14 code . I shut off the and unplug the AGS shut off the main breaker but it won’t stay running to check anything with VOM . I removed the main board you guys are right crazy money over thousands bucks so I am going to try and get a number for flight service and see if I can get one for less. Does anyone have a number for flight services?
  22. The generator is not under any real load it’s cold here in Nevada so I’m only using the aqua hot. I’m really just using the generator to keep the batteries up. The brushes I replaced about 7 months ago. Tom I’m curious what board is known for failing? Should I be caring a spare? I’m going to bed will try and figure it out tomorrow. Don
