  1. Could be Transmission fluid leaked into the wiring harness connection causing a short. We had that happen a few weeks ago in Az and then it would not go into gear at all and no codes could be found. Hopefully that’s all it is as now we are told we need a new transmission, the tech found metal shavings in the pan. wishing you the best of luck.
  2. Stuck in AZ!! We got the cause and estimate for our transmission issues. It turns out Transmission fluid had seeped into the wiring harness causing voltage problems which lead to the sensors not working correctly. The shop has ordered a new wiring harness and seal plus a few other parts. The parts were cheap at less than $500 including fluid, the labor though is almost $4000. Should be done next week. thanks again for all the help.
  3. You might be able to get the part through Rev.group.
  4. Looks good. I had a similar issue with ours while antelope hunting in the middle of nowhere. Luckily my brother was able to find a cartridge on his way to meet me. Our faucet was leaking and did cause some damage to cabinet n wood floor.
  5. The latest update we got from the shop was a slight oil leak at the pan that rand down and into the wiring harness connection causing a short. I should get a call tomorrow letting me know the time line on parts and repair and will update to get opinions. We are definitely rethinking this Good Sam thing and might make a change.
  6. Update: So the tow truck arrived, highly recommend MURPHY’S Towing. Very knowledgeable and excellent to deal with. Good Sam completely don’t know anything about RVs. The shop they sent us to does not work on class A , I told good Sam that and they said I was wrong. I spoke to the shop owner who told me they don’t service class As. Once there good sam said to tow to Velocity trucking who was who I originally advised as recommended by Allison Transmission.. this was if the tow company agreed to not charge them additional fees. The reputable tow company agreed as I had been through enough dealing with good sam. To top things off it’s my birthday. I will update after I hear back from service center as by the time we got there they were closed. good night everyone.
  7. DR4 nothing happens besides flash N and back to NN. We got a tow truck coming in a few hours so hopefully we find out what’s wrong with it today. Dealing with Good Sam has been difficult as they only tow to a few locations in Flagstaff AZ. Both said they don’t work on Class A RVs so we will see what the plan is. I hope they only work on them for Good Sam by contract. I will update as the day goes.
  8. Update: Talked to Allison and they were not sure of what the issue is, stated it could be old fluid and just needs changed. They were very helpful though as mentioned. fun part: we have good sam roadside assistance with free towing to closest repair shop. Allison gave me some recommendations but they are not a contracted provider for good sam. Good Sam then called me back and said they found a service shop to do the repairs, I called said shop, they don’t work on class As. i guess tomorrow we will follow the tow truck around until it ends up at a shop that will service it.
  9. Dr4. yes I have the ignition switch in the on position and the selector lights up red NN
  10. I have tried using the gear selector for both OLS and codes with nothing showing up. I guess I will find out more when I speak with Allison tomorrow. I really appreciate all the feedback and advice.
  11. I have tried to get a code and still no results, what’s a good number to contact Allison? Tom, sorry to hear all that you are going through.
  12. I spoke to a gentleman at S n K transmission that are the Allison rep I believe in AZ. He was very helpful, but without a code it’s hard to tell. I push the arrow buttons twice for a code, is there another method?
  13. We are outside of Williams AZ. Thank you for all the information and going to call Alison now. Much appreciated!!
  14. I am not getting a code, only a check transmission light on dash and a N on push button selector. If I shut it off , it will go back to showing NN and go into gear for another 100’ then I lose power and go back to a single N.
  15. Nope. I did find some part numbers from REV Group, but was looking for something by Firestone. Ours has had the bags and trailing arms replaced. The current bags are by conti (continental) and the reason I was asking is because the front end bottoms out hard on overpasses. I asked Source Engineering if I could purchase their bags and never got a response. Let me know what you find out , hopefully you have better luck.
  16. I have an 08 and ran into the same problem as you.
  17. I found mine in a Monaco Cayman on the driver side wall next to the driver seat. Hope this helps Try Sherwin Williams
  18. Go to revrvparts.com they should have the part numbers, you can also reach them via phone. They were very helpful.
  19. Boulder City RV does a good job, I have heard both Walker and Findlay RV do as well.
  20. I had the same issue looking for part numbers on my 2008 Cayman, go to REVRVPARTS.com or call the number on the website. They should be able to get that information to you, I was able to get the paint codes for my Rv as well. They are very helpful.
  21. Replacing due to age and small cracks. I wish there was an easier way to find a part number and order. Did you order online? What model#
  22. We have the Contitech and looking to replace with whatever is available, I’m checking for part numbers now using the vin. Thanks for the advice.
