  1. Tom, Thanks for that explanation. I am sorry you did not get the pics I posted. Its the first time I posted Pics, obviously not properly. I had thought everyone sees them even if posting on a separate post. The water pump is a replacement from the original. Now that you mentioned it I vaguely remember the pump came with that inline fuse holder. Regards, Greg C
  2. I hooked it all up again and the pump motor worked. I unhooked the remote 12VDC and rewired the pump to power without the FUSE/HOLDER,,, everything is working fine,, lights are on the switches and good pressure. Dr4,,, you had it figured,, thank you very much for sharing your knowledge. I did a lot of extra troubleshooting I didn't have to but I am a little wiser for doing so. You guys are priceless,, Thank You very much. Regards, Greg C
  3. Yes,, I used a ground on the frame and put the power wire on the red wire the fuse is on and nothing.
  4. I forgot to mention I also have a switch in my bay where my tank dumps are. My outdoor shower is on that switch. I will double check to be sure everything is wired correctly. When replacing it, I pulled one wire at a time and placed it in the new one on the proper pin. I will double check. Also, I had a alternate 12 VDC and tried the pump,,, nothing,,,
  5. ByI have checked power. I have power at the latching controller and also going to the relay. I have the same reading on all fuses except the fuse on the red wire going to the pump. Grounds seem good.
  6. The first pic is the Front Bay under driver, 20 amp fuse, good. All fuses in the pump Bay are good. I have no power coming to the pump from the relay that the red wire comes from. These pics aren't very good showing where the wires come and go,, I will try to send better. I also have a switch in the dump bay with outdoor shower.

  8. I have replaced the relay and the multiplex switch and checked all fuses,, still no lights on the inside switches and no pump.
  9. I am wondering,,, If the water pump is the problem,, will the switches still light up?
  10. Paul, I see you said you had some ,, please send me your phone number and I will call you. I have found if you take the big square knob off the joystick post,, it is harder to catch and break. 11. After all the information and time that you have all spent here TRYING to help me out being electrically illiterate, Thank you very much. I appreciate everything. Tom, Thanks for slowing me down and telling me this is no plug and play,,, I could have had some more issues than I wanted. The problem was, I hit the rear switch, closing off ignition on the dash.
  12. After all the information you have gave me I would like to think I am a little smarter this evening however,, lol I do have a remote start in that electrical box. I am hoping I accidentally hit the switch and disabled the key switch up front. I will be checking that first thing in the morning. I will let you know how I make out.
  13. Thanks for the information Tom,, much appreciated. Its a little confusing as I only unhooked the Big Boy. The connections on both large terminals and the 2 green wires on the smaller terminals. I touched nothing else. When I pulled my Big Boy apart,, it was a mess. It looked as if it had lots of heat as some plastic pieces were melted. Apiece that fits around everything. it was still ok enough to seal the outer edge. Also both large terminals have copper strips. I will need to make up some jumpers and mount the AL MCR elsewhere. Before the ML ACR is installed I will have another look at the BIG BOY and try to figure out why i have no power to start.
  14. Thank you for your reply. I took the Big Boy off and cleaned it, now I can't start my engine, no power to the starter. Everything else works, generator, dash lights, glow plugs light,, everything except when I go to start after the wait to start light goes out. Is their anyway I can get power to my starter with the new relay just so I can get out of Canada and the cold weather coming.
  15. Moderator EDIT, Greg, it is against forum rules to post or have two topics on the same subject. The one you just posted is now merged with the one you started originally. Please do not violate that rule again, otherwise you will be moderated. I just posted an answer to your question before realizing you were double posting. Basically, the same information that was posted previously. It discourages members from assisting when you double post or don’t follow the past recommendations. Thanks for understanding why this rule exists. End of EDIT. My new relay has 6 smaller wires and the Big Boy had 2 smaller terminals for 2 green wires. Has anyone hooked this up and how please.
  16. My new ML ACR has the 2 large terminals and 6 smaller wires. My Big Boy had the 2 big terminals and 2 smaller ones where 2 green wires hooked to. How do I hook up the ML ACR with all these wires? Help please. Thanks My new ML ACR has the 2 large terminals and 6 smaller wires. My Big Boy had the 2 big terminals and 2 smaller ones where 2 green wires hooked to. How do I hook up the ML ACR with all these wires? Help please. Thanks After cleaning the Big Boy, I have no power to the ignition. Everything else works, nothing to the starter.
  17. JD Crow, I see you eliminated your BIG Boy,,, what did you replace it with? I removed mine and cleaned all the terminals inside and out. I am still not sure if it has helped as I haven't gone anywhere yet. Will be headed south in a week or so.
  18. I am by no means a mechanic, however, growing up around heavy machinery, operating them, servicing them and listening to the experience that came before me has kept me out of unwanted trouble. I have been told, if its a new machine, use either, but whatever you use when starting out, keep using it, don't change. If you have a used machine that has had non-synthetic oil and then suddenly you use synthetic,,, can cause some issues. One is that synthetic oil does clean the deposits and grime that has built up through time from regular diesel oil. The grime that has built up through time actually helps seal and eliminates leaking. With a sudden change to synthetic could create some leaking. I use shell Rotella 15/40 diesel oil. I travel from Calgary, Alberta to Puerto Vallarta Mexico every year now for 10 years. I change my own oil and all filters fuel/oil every year at the same time in Mexico. I probably could get more miles but I would rather know my engine is running on clean oil and fuel. Round trip is about 5500 miles.
  19. Thanks for the responses ,, much appreciated.
  20. Ivylog, you say bypass the J12. How do you bypass it? Or do you mean, unplug it? With the top 2 terminals scorched so bad I had them unplugged and I had no headlights for travelling at night. Not a big problem, just no night driving.
  21. Modular Smartwheel master controller Greg Coffey replied to Jim-Denise's topic in Electrical Systems Hello, I am in need of a Modular Smartwheel Master Controller SM209/210. Can anyone help me find one of these units. NWRV is sold out, out of stock. I replaced the harness for the J12 plug but it has so much burn to it that the plug isn't connecting perfectly. Thanks , Greg Coffey 2005 Monaco Dynasty

  23. Thanks for the info, I can't send pics at this time as I am in Finland. I will be back in Canada in a week or 2 and will send pics if I can. The BlueSea is a good start and I will research further.
  24. I have just replaced my 8 - 6 volt house batteries with sealed gel batteries. I have also just added a solar panel on top. Previously to doing this my house batteries would not charge while driving and I asked the shop that installed my new batteries and installed my solar panel to isolate my problem, however, they said i would need to go to a heavy duty shop for troubleshooting and get the proper parts as their supplier does not carry a large enough isolator. Can someone please help me with this about the isolator and what I might need? 2005 Monaco Dynasty 400 cummins isl
