  1. Tim, can you call me. 702.524.6577 Ken Don't buy an awning yet. I may be on to something.
  2. Can you read the entire Bosch number on your housing? The only part of mine I can read is Bosch 058-05-?????? I have found a replacement motor but the problem is the splined shaft in the original motor. Did yours have a bastardized aluminum spline gear on the motor that was TIG welded to a aluminum half inch square coupler? Or am I just special; and I don't mean riding the short yellow bus.
  3. The new motor does not fit. I disassembled my original motor; which appears to have been salvaged from the Titanic. Time to go to plan B; not the pill. Fyi, I have no plan b.
  4. The motor I received from Amazon is not the correct motor. I'll research a little more and keep you posted.
  5. I should have mine tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes and what shims and bolts are needed.
  6. I have a 2006 diplomat. What are the chances that I am changing my otd motor today. What a miserable job. You are correct, a direct replacement is not available, although Amazon is loaded with them. This is a very common motor. The difference I see is the replacement motor/ gearbox does not have the cast mounting standoffs like the original and will require shimming the bolts for the proper mounting. Assuming yours is like mine, there is some type of bastard aluminum gear/coupler attached to the original motor. This was easily removed and should reattach to the new motor. Frankly, it looks like Carefree used a hodgepodge of Parts when they were building this model. You will have to replace the three mounting bolts, and use steel spacers accordingly. These are easily available at any hardware store. The best I can tell, is this will work. It's worth a $39 try on amazon and I ordered it today and it will be here tomorrow. Don't take my word for it, do your due diligence. I'll let you know how it turns out tomorrow.
  7. Although he posted the two files which show the parts diagram, nowhere do I see the diagram numbers showing the actual part number. Is there a page missing?
  8. Any thoughts on Switching original Green coolant to Red final charge in isl400 with 150k on it.
  9. It sounds like you are making progress.
  10. I apologize, I misunderstood your post. I thought we were referring to the driver's seat. You're correct, the passenger foot rest does not disable when driving. Sounds like you may have a blown fuse or bed foot rest motor on the passenger seat.
  11. I changed my original front seats to Villa in my Beaver Marquis. The Villa seat did have the yellow wire and the Marquee did not. The yellow wire on the seat was originally used to disable the power footrest when the parking brake was released. It was connected to they normally closed pressure switch in the parking brake system. Apparently they did not want you to extend the power footrest when you are driving. This information came directly from Villa several years ago. Think about it.
  12. I ordered a new one last night. It should be here in a few days. Thank you and I'll let you know how it goes.
  13. I figured that out. Thank you very much for your response. It appears I have an intermittent solid state relay. For the time being I have constructed a couple jumpers that allow me to manually override the solid state relay if necessary, until I can get to civilization and get what I need replace the solid state relay with dry contacts.
  14. The original is more square with slightly radiused corners, and the replacement that supersedes the original appears to be slightly rounded on the top. Did you have white paint showing around the top of the newer version? If so, how did you address that?
  15. Does anybody know of a replacement for the entrance Door exterior paddle latch and key handle for an 06 Diplomat? It is the rectangle one, not the radius top and bottom. Maybe a part number or something where I can try to find an existing original?
  16. Does anyone know where they have hidden the control module for the Carefree awning on the 06 Diplomat? They are typically located in the front Bay passenger side, but not on mine. I have located the relays behind the switch panel on the passenger side Dash, but that's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for the actual control module itself. 3 hours later, I'm starting to believe there may not be a control box and everything may be ran through the switch and relay.
  17. I've got a 100 gallons on board that I bought for $3.36 a gallon. I don't want to burn it up.
  18. What are you doing for a USB hub to run Dash mounted accessories like phone chargers, navigation, Tire monitors and a potpourri of other accessories? Either behind the dish or mounted to the Dash.
  19. I believe the passenger side may have a weak spring as it will not retract every time. I have disassembled it and it's appears to be a pretty simple setup.
