  1. The absolute first thing I would do is to have a competent local electrical contractor stop by and verify the wiring on the electric post. They can do this with a meter in less than a minute and without disassembling anything. It is imperative this is done and documented without delay, and should be done before the facility has the opportunity to possibly correct a wiring issue if one indeed exists. Next, depending on what the electrician finds, your next conversation may be with the park owner.
  2. Can anyone send me the link for the air system Plumbing diagrams for the entire coach? Thank you in advance
  3. Does anybody know where I can download complete wiring diagrams for a 2006 Diplomat 40 pdq?
  4. 2006 Diplomat PDQ 40 ft. 150,000 miles on the original Brakes and drums, and have a lot of life left in them. Granted I do have a Pacbrake but that's like putting a banana in the tailpipe. My same year Allegro bus had the jake brake and I seldom touched the brakes above 20 mph. It's all in how you drive it. FYI, I always tow a Jeep Grand Cherokee behind me and run heavy.
  5. Just out of curiosity. Who manufactures OEM brake drums for the Roadmaster chassis?
  6. I find it hard to believe your brake drums cost $2,000 a piece. Someone somewhere is mistaken. Follow up, brake drums for your rig are all over the Internet for anywhere from $100 to $300 per drum. In fact, you can do both sides of the back axle for under $1,000 for the kit, and considerably less for the front.
  7. Outside front electrical compartment. Two electrical boxes approximately 4 in square. The one on the right. Tail marker light fuse.
  8. A friend of mine recently paid $1,400 to have the exhaust manifold gaskets replaced on his isl400. Another friend, just last week paid $38 for new Cummins gaskets and did it himself in less than a day. I have done numerous exhaust gasket changes on Cummins and cats. You do not need to remove the exhaust manifold bolts. You simply loosen all 12 bolts approximately 2 to 3 turns, and then using a small bar try the exhaust manifold out about a quarter of an inch. You then remove both Bolts from one port at a time allowing the gasket to drop out. Do not do all six ports at the same time. If necessary, you can take a hacksaw blade or other thin scraping instrument and scrape the port and exhaust manifold Port clean. You can now hold the gasket in place and insert one Bolt at a time and turn back in approximately one or two turns. Do not tighten the port completely to the head. After you have completed this to each of the six ports, you can retorque the exhaust manifold for the specs.
  9. Red Roof Inn and Motel 6, dog stays free. I have to agree with the other gentleman. How did you travel after the drive shaft came out? You need to find the drive shaft. You may start by looking for it stuck up in the coach somewhere.
  10. Okay, I've decided to consider a washer dryer combo in lieu of separate units for my coach. Frankly, I am more concerned about performance than I am cost. I have a single 110 volt Outlet and hot and cold water and drain in the utility closet. I have no problem adding an exterior vent if necessary. What will I be happy with performance wise? I am coming from a coach that had a stackable vented washer and dryer.

  12. Lot more complicated than I anticipated. I am relatively versed with both high voltage and low voltage, and what you said makes sense. Thank you. I'll keep you posted
  13. 2006 Monaco diplomat with a 8000 Onan diesel. I know it will not run off the generator but, I need to get a dryer receptacle into the receptacle into the washer dryer cabinet on the curb side of the coach behind the toilet room for when I am on 50 amp Shore power.
  14. Has anyone added a 50 amp dryer circuit for an electric dryer in a Diplomat 40 PDQ? If so, what is involved?
