    My wife (Lior) and I decided to take the plunge in May 2023. We are newbies who bought our first MH and absolutely LOVE the freedom and change we were looking for. We jumped right into a Beaver DP, so we are on a crash course to learn everything!

  1. Got it - thanks - I thought I missed something. (Not surprising) my issue isn't with only hot, but another poster did have a similar issue with only hot and I found the similar issue thread to jump in here (as recommended) -- it might have confused a bit. My issue was with pressure seeming to reduce (not all the way, but enough to notice) from when I turn it on to when it's steady stream. Because I'm a newbie, it could be normal and I don't know, but I'm learning when to notice something in trying to be proactive before I have a 'problem'. I've got a lot of great advice and things to try and tinker a bit. (Love learning) so I'm going to see if it's 'just me' and this pressure is all there is or....? All the wisdom shared is absorbed; no deaf ears here!
  2. Hey - thanks for helping. I do know where mine (sounds same as yours) is located and it's well identified, but I'm confused how/why it could be when my owners manual states the filter is only for the water pump and water pump is only used when using fresh water tank, which we never do with always being on City water. I guess it's worth a shot, but the manual reference this only being for water pump which isn't being used, so I'd have to turn the water pump on, which directs water through the filter into pump and up through that way. Am I wrong in thinking that? I can fill up the fresh water tank to try, but im waiting to receive the water pressure gauge mentioned by another and will test all.....the weather just hasn't been cooperating lately.
  3. Yes - I thought the same about restriction. I have checked my hoses for kinks. (multiple times) I verified my regulator is at 50-55 and ran the water/hose directly from spigot without the regulator and/or external filter. Then, I read the manual to look for anything internal 'filter' related as well as the entire plumbing section, but found nothing. I did notice the pressure does drop when we are washing dishes or other (always has) so I will I'm going to take notes for numbers today. I also think I'm going to remove the pressure regulator when I get the gauge to test actual spigot pressure from Amazon. I do have one of those back flow valves on the coach, down in wet bay, where the city line goes.....that is new, having just been installed in Jan/Feb (old one was leaking) I guess it could still be that, so I can check,(Can return if not) im trying to do one thing at a time in the process of eliminating and I refuse to let it win 🤣 I just know it's something I'm going to find and kick myself for as a newbie learning. Although, I do love learning, soooo I love the challenge. Ha! appreciate the many suggestions. I have one (in the mania) only for use with using water pump (so it says) then, there is one bypassed only for the ice machine, (there are shut off valves) because we don't use it. I'm going to triple check and take a photo hoping some of you well seasoned campers can set me straight.
  4. Not sure and I did think about that, but I know the last place we were at was pretty high pressure because I have a Y-splitter from spigot. I thought about doing what you suggested and just filling up the tank to use the water pumps (never have) and check if that is better. I've had the coach a year and never used anything except City water...that's worth a shot. Thanks. I read my manual again and I can't find any filters for regular water. Did I miss something somewhere? I did take the screens out of shower and faucets to see if they had those water saver type devices and didn't see anything. It's just so weird when it starts out stronger and gradually goes down to about half'ish - my external pressure regulator is pretty new and reads properly (as far as I know) is there a tool or trick to check what the water pressure actually is?
  5. Hi fellow Monaco peeps.....my issue is similar, but not the same. I've read the manual and old threads, but can't find my issue and this was closest, so starting here. I'm hooked up to city water and pressure seems low, which I know coach pressure isn't great to begin with. What has me confused is the pressure seems to start way higher when you open the faucet (kitchen or shower) and lowers to about half'ish. I've only had the coach for a year and it's my first, so I'm learning and pretty handy, but I've checked a few things and it has me stumped. It's not a hot/cold difference; it's just the water starts off stronger and reduces. I've checked my pressure regulator and even turned ut up to 50 (had at 40-45) but doesn't really make a difference. I've changed my filter (don't have one on the coach, just external) which changed nothing either. Hoping someone has suggestions to try. I have 'enough' water coming out, but it's nowhere near the pressure I 'expect' and the side and I are convinced it used to be more and it's just one of those things we think but can't really remember. (We just started full-timing on Dec) thanks, in advance!!
  6. I had hoped mine to be simple like that, too. We tried a few things and because it moved back and forth freely, we knew it wasn't that. We tried googling and testing a few different things that worked for others. Once it came off, we could tell the difference and ours wouldn't "stop" or lock like it's supposed to. The gear/teeth on the motor piece of ours would move freely which we learned from new one shouldn't happen. I bought the motor and kept trying other things in the meantime with knowing Amazon would take the motor back if it wasn't that....covered all bases.
  7. This just happened to me on Thursday when packing up to leave. Turned out to be the motor/gear and VERY easy to fix. I could hear the motor, but wasn't moving (after first few times with us trying to "see") and it ended up being able to move freely (shouldn't be able to) I got home and ordered the replacement motor ($60) with teeth (they sell some without) on Amazon and just replaced it Saturday. They had some cheaper, but I wanted it next day, so paid the extra $15-20. The complete replacement took me about 20-30 minutes. I was amazed how easy it was and works good as new.
  8. This post came at a great time! I, too, have great Michelin tires and I've been torn about replacing my tires for 'no reason' - since, they're in great shape. I inspect regularly and even go to approved Michelin shop every 6 or so months for them to look with a trained eye. My date code is 2019, but COVID hit and it sat in climate controlled garage for years. I've read Michelin's site and they confirm they can last when properly taken care of and just need to inspect them (which they even give you approved places to go) to make sure they're safe. I just can't bring myself to spend $6K when I don't need to...with the other side of that coin being 'what if'. I don't see Michelin even suggesting a 'maybe' they can last 10 years, if they didn't believe it. love this forum! This newbie is learning a lot from so many!

  10. Perfect timing - I'm in the market, too. Could you share pricing for the tile job? I'm debating putting the LV over my existing tile and ripping out carpet. My problem is not having a space like you in the area, so it could get tricky. Thanks for the number - I'm going to reach out and share your rave reviews of his work.
