Ivan K Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Today, while chasing an ABS trouble, I went across this connector with a plug and jumper attached to it. I have seen it before but don't remember if I ever knew what it is for and certainly never used it. The wires come in with the same bundle as engine diagnostics wires from ISM 500. Does anyone know what this connector can be used for?
Yoaks5 Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 Looks like it's a shorting plug. If I understand my manual correctly it's another way to get active fault codes. Pic from my manual 2004 navigator with ISM 500. 1
Ivan K Posted November 21, 2020 Author Posted November 21, 2020 Thank you Kevin, this is exactly what I was looking for, now I know. Monaco left it out of my manual. Very appreciated. My manual only shows the diagnostic connectors but not the jumper and blink code information.
jfbolkovatz Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 Kevin, Can you attach a copy so that I may print it. Thanks Joe 03 Exec with a ISM and no info.
Yoaks5 Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 Joe, Sorry for the delay. Thought I had replied but must not have sent it. Attached is the owners manual for a 2004 Executive and it has the shortening plug info in it. 2004_Executive Owners Manual.pdf
