Kjungles
I turned this switch off and now I can not get it to stay locked in the on position. Is there a trick or has the switch gone bad?
Rick A
The little switch on the top of the switch is actually a locking device that holds the switch on/off. Mine is the same as yours and it works well, until it wears out! Hold the main switch down a gently press/slide the locking button into place. Good luck, I could put up a vid if you need it. Kjungles
Ok yea this will not stay locked in position. 3 wires plug into switch…. Wonder if I can jumper wires to get by until I find a new switch??
DavidL
You could try WD40 to clean up the lock mechanism if it's gummy and not engaging. Yes, you could jump the wires as long as you know which to jump. Take photo of which wires on which terminals Then use multimeter to identify which terminals short when pressed. Then take jumper wire to jump the corresponding wires Insulate to ensure nothing shorts.
