I have a 2001 Monaco Dynasty , has anyone one taken the plastic gear off the topper tube to change the fabric.
Thanks in advance Steve.

Thank you, that’s what I thought but want to here from some one that had done it. Thanks again.

Easey peasy, done it many times to replace broken straps. I always choose the non-spring end when changing straps.

BTW (by the way), the omega awnings will work with springs in either end. Years ago, I needed a new spring in my large roadside slide on the Windsor. The service tech from Shade-Pro in San Diego brought a lefthand spring instead of a righthand spring. He just installed it in the other end and works great. The bedroom slide still has the spring in the right end.
