ph1386
I just purchased my first coach. 04 executive 45pbt. I have a crack on one of my front break rotors. How would I identify what brake rotor I have? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Chargerman
Easiest if you can identify the axle. Should be a tag on it somewhere. If you take the info off of it to a truck parts outfit they should be able to identify the rotors from that
vito.a
If you only have one crack, you are well ahead of the rest of us. Bendix brake rotors are allowed to have cracks, but they cannot exceed the criteria in the Bendix manual (attached). From page 8: No action is needed for small cracks spread over the surface. For standard Bendix rotors, cracks running in a radial direction — like spokes of a wheel (see Area H) — less than 0.06 in. (1.5 mm) deep or wide are acceptable if they do not reach either edge (see G). Cracks are only acceptable if the length of the crack is less than 75% of dimension “f” (the width of the rotor contact area).
