gizmo4wine
Caught a rat in my storage bay. He was setting up house. Im going to use steel wool around any openings I can find. Any other ways to discourage them? Thanks for ideas. Jim Lewis 05windsor
Millisec
Peppermint.....they don't like the odor. I carried a small sprayer with strong peppermint solution that I sprayed all around the tires, cables, hoses, any thing that touched the ground. If we were parked for for a few days, I would spray every 3 or 4 days , never had a problem after that. TomC2 03 LaPalma gas
Dennis H
I had 'evidence' a rat was in my engine compartment. So I rigged up a camera and recorded the party that was taking place at night while I slept. See the two videos below....Dennis First night: IMG_4301(2).MOV IMG_4302(1).MOV Edited April 28, 2020 by Dennis H
gizmo4wine
Great videos you posted. The cat was smart enough to stay away from the trap. I caught one last night using peanut butter. Is that what you used?
Sandy Swede
A product called Fresh Cab and Peppermint oil on cotton balls strategically placed.

We had moderate results with Fresh Cab, but the peppermint oil on cotton balls has worked well for us. We put them in little plastic jello cups with holes punched in the lids. gjh2916
I started using dryer fabric sheets a few years ago and they eliminated my mice problem especially when stored. Just put a few sheets around in the basement and it seems to keep the mice at bay.
