Please Add Phone Numbers

Recently we started requiring phone numbers as required information when you register for the Monacoers site. The Moderators have found it very valuable to have a way (other than email) to contact members when there is a problem.  many time a short phone call can save a large number of emails or private messages when a member is having problems with the site. 

This has NOT been required info when registering for the past three years. 

We are asking existing members to voluntarily add a phone number (cell phone preferred) to your profile.  

When your phone number is added to your profile, it will NOT be visible to other members, the public, search engine crawlers, or bots unless you explicitly allow it.  It can only be seen by the Moderators and yourself. 

To add a phone number:

1. Click on the Menu (three little bars in the upper right hand corner)
2. Select “Account”, then “Profile”
3. Once your profile appears, click on “Edit Profile”
4. In the “Required Information” section, fill in the “phone number” field
5. Hit “Save”

The steps to add a phone number are slightly different on my screens.

     1)  Click on triangle behind name on upper right corner
     2)  Click on Account Settings
     3)  Click on Edit Profile (under Other Settings on right side of screen)
     4)  Fill in phone number under Required Settings
     5)  Save

Thanks…. As much as I’m on the site, I still forget it’s slightly different for mobile vs. desktop browsers.
