Joint Venture
New to the site and already have a question. We purchased the coach last April and are full timing across the country and making lots of upgrades while we travel. I am in the process of installing a new camera in rear of coach outside. I have no power presently on existing camera and haven't figured out why. Thought maybe it was tied to engine running and engine running and in gear (tried both Drive & Reverse) with no luck. I have not tried it with parking brake released though. Would prefer camera is on whenever engine runs. Any ideas? __________________
96 EVO
On my '08 model, I only need the key turned to ignition or acc position for the camera's / monitor to work.
Solution Joint Venture Posted September 16 Author Solution Share Posted September 16 After troubleshooting I learned that they fed the camera from the marker light circuit. Turned on marker lights and bingo have power to camera. Not crazy about that but will need to see how easy it is to pull another circuit from the fuse in the back end. 96 EVO
I'm guessing that's been done by a previous owner for 'some' reason. I don't believe it left the factory that way!
Simplysmn
I know on our 2000 we went with the wireless camera from Costco and being color you can mount the monitor to the window and it works Great.
