At least once a year, I drain mine and fill w fresh water and bleach and drive around.  Then I run each faucet til I can smell bleach from each outlet.  Let it sit overnight, drain and refill the fresh tank, flush the lines for a while, etc...  We rarely boondock so we keep some water for flushing and hand washing en route, but drink bottled water.  Once on city water,  we drink and use it.

While on the battery topic,  when we bought our MH, it came w 2 12V batteries for the house as opposed to 4 6V batteries.  I suppose the PO didn't boondock much and we don't boondock much either.  There have been some times I have thought about boondocking, but talked myself out of it due to the batteries. I figure when I need new batteries, i will go back to 4 of the 6V AGMs like Scotty mentioned.  Does anyone know if the rewiring will be a snap or a pain?  I still have the stock Magnum inverter.  PO passed away before we purchased so I was never able to ask him any questions.   Pic is best I have of the current setup. 

I followed Scotty's lead and increased to a double DIN and ordered one from Crutchfield.  I also ordered a remote bc it's just too far to scan while driving.   I used a splitter and sent the rear camera to the radio camera so I can watch behind me and leave the Aladdin on. 

I spoke with them today and should have my card in a couple of weeks. 

Thanks.  I emailed them Sunday and 2 of them called me back yesterday while I was working.  It should be finished this week.   

I applied for one over a month ago and have not heard from them.  I sent in another email to check status. I, too, created a separate checking account for this purpose.
