  1. No to the thermostat and gasket. I just replaced the sensor 2 years ago. Guess I need to get the part numbers for the thermostat and gasket.
  2. Generator Update. Thanks for all the inputs. After reading all the comments I looked closer for the error codes. After the 3 digit code I pushed the switch again and got a code 19 (governor issue). Nothing very specific. After looking into governor problems I took a resistance reding on the two wire lugs on the governor and the readings were within parameters. I had already cleaned all the terminal connections I could find on the generator and chassis. After doing all this the generator now starts. I let it run for about 10 minutes and everything was running good so I put a load on it. It ran for 15 minutes and shut down. Wasn't real happy about that. After waiting a couple minutes I started it up again, waited a few minutes and loaded it up again with the same results. I have the top, right side and rear panel off and I'm hoping that it wasn't getting proper cooling since everything was open. There were no error codes. I have the fan belt off and a couple hoses off so I can't do any more troubleshooting until I get the parts back so I can run it again. Hopefully once it is all closed up it works as it should. I have done a complete service on it.
  3. Thanks Tom. I'll try to jump start it to see what happens but first I'll have to get the better half to help while I read the voltage while she tries to start the gen. The batteries are only 6 months old (4 Trojan batteries) and should be good but I'll have to check anyway. I also have a clamp on meter and I'll have that on too. She won't be happy cuz it hasn't been above 30 degrees for several days. The MH is in a garage and the temp is around 40 inside. I keep the MH plugged in all the time. Just tryin to get the darn thing to work. More to follow. Don
  4. I have a 04 Camelot 38 ' PST (original owner) and the generator wouldn't start (fault code 3, needs service). Gen has 347 hours on it. I serviced the gen (oil change, oil, air and fuel filter). Before I serviced the gen it would not start (did not turn over). The light on the switch both inside and outside flashed 3 times then repeated. The service was due anyway. It had been 6 or 7 weeks since I had started it and was going to exercise it. It ran fine after we returned home from our summer trip. I have a full tank of fuel, oil is just under the full mark and the coolant is full. I'm not sure if any of the items (oil level, fuel level and coolant level) would stop the gen from just turning over. I have checked the voltage at the rear of the gen and have 13.8VDC. With the covers off I measure the same at the starter solenoid. The 3 fuses (2 15amp and 1 25 amp) under the external start panel are good (checked with a meter not just a visual). Chased the ground wire attached to the gen back to the frame and it is good (clean and tight). Not sure if there is a way to check the solenoid. The old school way to start a car if the solenoid was bad was to take a screwdriver and short out 2 poles and it would start or at least turn the engine over. There are only 2 poles on the solenoid and they are positive and negative so that won't work. Any suggestions to what I might try to get the darn thing to turn over and hopefully start would really be appreciated.
  5. Don (Old Dog) do you have the number for Valid. I did a web search for them and can’t find them. I just bought an air valve from Northwest RV it was $125. Don
  6. Thanks Ivan. I knew I could probably take it apart with the nuts but I like having the right tools for the job. I’m still in San Diego and won’t be home for a while, but it’s on my list to do before the next trip.
  7. I have the same problem with my 04 Camelot. While on vacation in San Diego I found a truck repair shop that did work on motor homes and was familiar with the six packs. He found a leak on one of the solenoids and ordered a new one. Went back and he installed it and it’s working fine. The solenoid was $200 dollars and labor was $400 i need to rebuild all of them and have the O ring specks but I don’t have any info on the pin wrench. I’m imagine there are many sizes out there. Does anyone have a part number or a place where I can buy the correct wrench? Thanks in advance. Don
  8. Jim, Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner but we re moving and things are getting real hectic. Anyway, the fault code is 97 with a MD of 32??? The SRC is ENG, the TPE is PID and the Component is Water in fuel indicator. Hope this make sense to you cuz all I get out of it is the water in fuel light was on. Once I changed the filter out everything was good. When I unplugged the connector to the filter the light went out. So it was a no brainer at that point. Just need to make sure I order the Fleet Guard filter instead of the knockoff. Didn't realize it was a knockoff. Thanks for all the iinfo. Don Genesse 04 Camelot
  9. Problem with the water in fuel light is off. I removed the plug and the dash light went out. So I removed the filter and put in a new filter. Works as advertised. I removed the sensor and all it is, is 2 metal contacts insulated from each other. Once water gets in the sensor cavity the pins are shorted out thus completing the circuit and the light on the dash goes on. Pretty simple. Learn something new all the time, especially working on these rigs. The filter that had the wrong receptacle on it had the letters GAQ in front of the FS1022 part number. Obviously not a true Fleet Guard product. I ordered the Fleet Guard FS1022 and it came in 1 day and fits and works like it should. Jim: I haven't turned on the Silverleaf yet to get you the codes. I'll do that Saturday. Thanks again everyone for your valuable suggestions and input. Greatest group ever. Don Genesse 04 Camelot
  10. Thanks y’all. I have a house plumbing problem to deal with today but the MH problem will be next. Good input. The part number on the filter was the same FS 1022. Sure will check every time I receive another one. I’ll check the code number. Don Jeff The filters were identical except for the size of the plug receptacle. Sure would have saved me a lot of time if I would have paid attention to the receptacle prior to installing the new filter. That won’t happen again. Don
  11. Amazon. This is where I always get them. I’d have to check what company it came from. Didn’t notice the difference until I already installed it and tried to plug it in. It obviously didn’t fit so I had to remove it and go to my spare which I rotate each year. So this one was a year old when I tried to install it today. I assume the sensor is in the filter? Don
  12. I did all the servicing on my 04 Camelot (ISC engine) just before going to the Monacoers rally. When I left home I noticed the water in fuel light on the dash was on. The engine was running good so I continued to the meeting (about a 2.5 hour drive). The light was on the whole time. I drained some fuel from the secondary filter to no avail. I drove home and the engine ran fine. I replaced the filter (another issue) sprayed electrical cleaner on the connector and plugged it in. Started the engine and the light was still on. No leaks and everything looks good but the light remains on. I have the Silverleaf system on the coach and I tried to reset the system but no change. Is there some way to clear the code out? Not sure what the code is although Silverleaf shows it quite a few times. Tried to reset it but it wouldn't take. Looked in my manual and it says nothing about the water in the fuel light other than pointing it out on the dash panel diagram. I'm stumped. Just a side note. When I ordered the filters I used the same numbers I always do but the secondary filter was not the same. The receptacle where the cable plugs in is larger than the one I had removed. Both have the same part number FS1022. This is the first time this has happened to me and I have put at least a dozen of these on.
  13. Sorry to hear that Richard. I was looking forward to chatting with you. I can only pray we do much better than the mid terms went. Stay safe. Don 04 Camelot
  14. I received my filters, installed them and ran the engine to check for leaks. No leaks. Getting closer to going to Lazy days to see everyone again. Still trying to get the lug nuts torqued. Still not having any luck. Hopefully will get that done so I can go to the Monaco meet. Don 04 Camelot.
  15. Scotty My wife, Sandy is interested in going to these events and also in car pooling. She is shy so will need a little coaxing. See everyone in a couple weeks. Don & Sandy 04 Camelot
  16. Ben, The problem has been fixed. I believe it was a loose water separator that I never saw it leaked until I was going to change it and noticed there was no fuel in the filter except in the water separator. After cleaning the separator and filing it with fuel and running the pump a couple times it started right up. Started it several times and it started every time. I'm letting it set for a few days ad will start it again. Thanks for your input. Don 04 Camelot 350ISC
  17. I think when I took off the water separator I must not have put it on tight. But, it ran for 10 to 15 minutes before I shut it off to check the oil level. No leaks at that time.. After the engine shut down and I took off the primary filter and drained it, I looked into the filter with a flash light and the bottom of the filter was dry. That made me think there was no fuel getting to the filter. So, I poured fuel into the filter and fuel started to run out of the water separator. I tried to figure exactly where it was coming from and it looked like it was leaking from the threads. I took off the separator cleaned it and wiped off the o ring. Put it back on and made sure it was tight. Added fuel again and it did not leak. Cycled the pump a few times then started the engine. Ran and no leaks. Let it sit for a few hours then fired it up again. Ran good. Tried it a few more times and everything is good. I'm guessing the water separator was loose. What stumps me is there was no leak??? 18. I have ordered the 84101B filters. Should get them first part of next week. Hopefully they are the right ones. I have already removed the old filters and will need the new ones before I can go anywhere. Thanks everyone for the info. Don Genesse
  19. Thanks everyone. I’ll order the 84101B. I looked up the specs on all the ones that I listed and couldn’t find the specs on the 84191B. Gotta get everything completed before I head to the Monaco rally. Lusgi, I’ll get the measurements in a few minutes and send them to you. Lusgi, the dimensions I measured on the filters I removed are 5 inches tall, 4 inches wide with a 1.25 inch diameter hole to slide over the fitting in the tank. The filters do not have a part number on them. I looked on my tank for the part number of the tank, filters and gasket but it is not there unless it is under the clamp. Thanks again everyone. What a great team!!!!
  20. Trying hard to finish my yearly maintenance but the stars are not aligning. I removed the filters from the hydraulic reservoir drained the fluid and went to put in the 3 new filters. Low and behold the new filters are much smaller than the old ones. I have been searching online for the last 3 hours and have drawn a blank. So, I need help. I have looked at the data (and most do not give you the dimensions) to match what I had in the reservoir but can't find ones that are the right size. I have changed these filters many times but can't find any receipts with part numbers. The tank is a Nelson 19.5H and 9.5 Diameter. There are no numbers on the filters or tank. I have looked on the Cummins web site to no avail. I have 6 part numbers and they don't have the correct dimensions or do not identify what the dimensions are. Don't want to order the wrong ones again. The coach is a 04 Camelot with a 350 Cummins. The following are the part numbers I have looked at. The ones I bought are 84365A and they are way too small. 83804E 84101B 51487 LF637 51637 1637 NAPA
  21. Well I came back from our trip to buy a house in Kentucky. We found a nice house that meets our needs and negotiated a fair price and as soon as I sell my house in SWF we will move. Back to the subject. I took off the primary filter and it looked like there had been no fuel in it. I put some fuel in it and the water separator was leaking. I removed the water separator cleaned it, lubed the o ring, put it back together, filled it up with fuel and turned the key on to let the pump move fuel to the filters. After doing that 3 times with plenty of time between pump runs. It stated right up. Let it run for a awhile then shut it down. Waited a half hour then started right up again. Not sure why the fuel wasn't getting there because after the oil change it started up and ran for 10 to 15 minutes. Thanks to all for all your info.
  22. Richard, I ran the engine for 15 minutes then shut it down to check for leaks and fluid levels. The coach sat for a couple weeks until I got the filter wrench for the air brake filter. Changed that filter then started it up to check for any air leak. It ran for 20seconds or so then shut down. The fuel pump runs but isn’t as loud as it usually is. ???
  23. Thanks Ben. Lots of good information. I wish I was staying home so I could work on it. Just found the problem this afternoon. I will let everyone know what the problem was. That is predicated on fixing the problem. I am in the middle of moving too. Lots going on right now. Don
  24. Thanks Jim. I will check it when I get back next week. The coach is parked in my garage and there is a pan under the engine and trans and there are no leaks getting to the pan.
