  1. Here is the link that explains the NC Quick Pass.

    https://www.ncquickpass.com/

We have the NC Quick Pass E-ZPass which works on toll facilities in North Carolina, Florida (SunPass), Georgia (Peach Pass) and the following states where E-ZPass is accepted.

    Delaware
    Florida
    Georgia
    Illinois
    Indiana
    Kentucky
    Maine
    Maryland
    Massachusetts
    New Hampshire
    New Jersey
    New York
    North Carolina
    Ohio
    Pennsylvania
    Rhode Island
    Virginia
    West Virginia

I have 2 transponders. One I keep in the MH and one in the toad. When towing, I put the toad transponder in its foil bag and put it in the glove box so that both are not charged $$. Seven years and no problems.

  2. I also have a 8.3 mechanical engine.  I did have an intermittent start problem. Found that it was due to a bad fuel shut off solenoid. Replaced it with this, problem solved. You can manually open yours to check if this is the problem. There is a 2 1/2" and 3" bolt spacing, so check yours before ordering.

  3. I replaced my 160 amp Leece Neville 2824LC with a 200 amp Delco Remy 28SI. The install was fairly simple (I have a side radiator) except on the DR you don't connect the excite wire since it is self exciting. I purchased mine with a extra pully wheel at:

    https://www.qualitypowerauto.com/

I found them very helpful.  I would give them a call and ask for replacement recommendations

I had my old LN rebuilt and carry it as a spare.

How many of these did you put in each fixture?

Just one.  Each has 120 LED which provided enough light

very interesting approach. Appears a lot simpler and possibly quicker for about the same money.

Definitely simpler.  I tried using the strips, some burned out and the adhesive failed.

Did one unit provide enough lighting? Looks great with clean simple installation.

    One provided plenty of light.

I just installed a new Dometic Blizzard NXT 15k in place of a Penguin II.  The bolt pattern is the same.  The Blizzard produces a full 350cfm and is the highest output AC that Dometic makes.

However, the Blizzard NXT is 13.7" tall while the Penguin is 11 1/4".

I found a great price on Amazon, but the best way to find one is to shop around online.  Most of these are drop shipped direct from warehouses.

Could you please tell me the model no. of the Blizzard you purchased.  When looking at the blizzard, the installation instructions show that it is attached to the roof with lag bolts from the top vs the long bolts from inside on the Penguin. How did you attach yours?  Thanks

  6. Replaced the springs on my HWH jacks.

Get the model number of your jacks first, I found that my front jacks were different from the rear. Attached is a chart on spring sizes.

A note of caution. Per the chart, and upon investigation, I found the recommended spring for my rear jacks was 18" long, however, the distance between the mounting brackets on my jacks when fully retracted was only 16". If I went with the recommended springs, my jacks would never fully retract. I went with a HWH spring rated the same that was 14" long.

Here is the data on mine.

    Front Jacks APP40506 (9000#) replacement springs #R3847
HWH Rear Jacks AP8805 (12000#) replacement springs R34692 (14") vs
    R38956 (18")

  7. A few days ago I embarked on the project of replacing my air dryer filter.  As I explored what was involved, I asked myself the question of what would I do if I had a failure of this component while on the road and lost air pressure.  After further exploration I found that it is a fairly easy job to bypass the filter, providing you have the necessary hardware.  Now I started looking for the bypass kit I needed for my MH.  I found one on ebay, however, it did not have the correct fittings.  I contacted the ebay seller (plumbbobautomtive) and explained what I needed.  Long story short, Bob, the owner, was very nice and helpful and after several exchanges of info and photos he designed the bypass kit I needed. In his words " I would not want you to break down with the wrong parts in hand. Getting you what you need is our goal."  What I ultimately got was exactly what I needed.   Thinking that  others might be interested in this, I suggested that he add this item to his ebay store.  Here's the link,  if it's not exactly what you need, Bob will make it for you.

  8. I installed the following ceiling fan in our RV.  It comes in different sizes.

    https://rvandmarine.com/product/12-volt-rv-remote-ceiling-fan-28/

Our RV had a ceiling light, so it was a simple job to replace the light with this fan. I did have to make a wooden plate to cover the opening left by the light which I then mounted the fan to. This unit is controlled by the remote, so no additional wiring was needed, I just leave the light switch on. If you have a bedroom slide, make sure you have the required clearance when the slide is in.
