Here is a recent link from the IRV2 forum on this topic. https://www.irv2.com/forums/f115/assistance-in-removing-the-dash-air-heater-blower-motor-in-a-1999-monaco-windsor-588493.html

I replaced my 160 amp Leece Neville 2824LC with a 200 amp Delco Remy 28SI. The install was fairly simple, ( I have a side radiator) except on the DR you don't connect the excite wire since it is self exciting. I purchased mine with a extra pulley wheel at:

Had a similar problem on mine. Replaced the fuel shutoff solenoid and solved the problem. If you go this route, check the bolt spacing before ordering.

4) IF you have a BIRD or IRD system controlled by electronics and it fails, don't attempt to fix it...bypass it. Install the ML-ACR. It is such a simple, robust device which allows manual control at the device itself, should you foolishly choose not to install the remote switch.
Could you please give me some detailed info on how you "bypass" the BIRD. What did you do with the wiring connected to the BIRD? That's the one thing keeping me from installing the ML-ACR. Thanks

The guru for flooring is Ernie Ekberg.

Join his group and you can see pictures of coaches he has done and he is very forthcoming in answering any questions you have.
Per Ernie, glued down, engineered hardwood flooring is the way to go.
I replaced all of my carpeting with hand scraped engineered hardwood flooring. With the hand scraped, you can easily repair any nicks, etc. and it blends in. We glued the flooring down. One thing I learned in doing this is that because of the confined space, it is much easier to back butter each piece rather than spread the glue across the floor.- 1

Thanks for the update. Looking forward to see how you access the wiring from your old sensors/system.

How did you get the wiring for the Sea Level sensors to the passenger side of the MH?
-
If you don't find a new home for it, I would suggest you salvage the wood panels from the doors. Saved mine, and glad I did. Used them when remolding the interior of my MH.

Did you have strange issues at idle? Jim mentioned that that his alt fail light came on due to low idle speeds...
Don't remember having problems at idle. I noticed that my batteries were not being charged when going down the road. Ran my generator to keep it charged until I got home and could make the change.
