  1. TSD Open Roads is what we use.
  2. Circling back around to this topic l posted back in March. I was able to put a few minutes into troubleshooting and found it was an easy fix. I started with the source of control and removed the switch plate from the dash. It was readily apparent that the wires had been shaken loose from the terminals on the back of the switch. I reconnected them and guess what, it worked. All the suggestions were great, but I guess the best thing to do is the KISS method and check the switch at issue and make sure the wires are even connected first. Thanks everyone for the suggestions, problem solved.
  3. On our 2000 Diplomat there is a filter on the passenger side of the engine and one in the drivers side bay with air conditioning coils and air dryer. That is a 8.3L engine though. Your 5.9 could be different.
  4. We have the same on our 2000 Diplomat. I didn't find it till the second year of ownership. It too looked so dirty like it had never been changed. I would not think it to be the last filter in the line as there is another one on the passenger side of the engine that is likely the last filter in the line on ours. Yours may be different being a year newer.
  5. If it was a Sharp R1870 these should be the dimensions. Outside Dimensions: 29 15/16” (W) x 16 11/32” (H) x 15 9/32” (D)
  6. Unfortunately I don’t have a picture and won’t be to the coach till May now. There are a couple of other 2000 Diplomat owners on here maybe we’ll get lucky and one of the post a picture.
  7. Thanks Bill, the step does extend and retract when the key is on and door is opened and closed. Is there a way to test the switch with a meter if I pull it out of the dash?
  8. Thanks, I don't have one of those on our coach for the outside step. That switch on our controls the step cover inside the coach. I did not. Good idea, I will check that next time I am at the rig. Thanks.
  9. I believe you are referring to the red step switch by the door. Yes I do know about that one and it no longer seems to matter which way that switch is positioned. Thanks,
  10. We have developed a new issue with our 2000 Diplomat that has me baffled. The step will not retract unless the key is in the on position. Yes, I have flipped the red switch by the door it still will only retracted if the key is on. Any ideas as to where to start looking would be appreciated. Unfortunately I won't be able to try any troubleshooting until late May when I am back to the MH but if I could get direction from the vast knowledge base here that would help. Thanks,
  11. Ours is a Tuft and Needle. We bought it right after purchasing the motor home and liked it so much we bought one for the house. It is a little long but I am 6' 2" and didn't want my feet hanging off the end so we haven't bothered to cut it down. Could be cut if we wanted too.
  12. We use the 50A inline Power Watchdog also for about 2 years. It has so far never failed to let me know of an issue at the pedestal. Good luck,
  13. Greg, Thanks for the update. Would love to see your pics when you get them taken. Let us know how it goes because I had looked at that system as well. Good luck.
  14. I doubt you are going find access from the passenger side as all our plumbing is on the driver side. I believe to access the tanks and current wiring you would need to remove the wet bay panel. Maybe someone with a 2000 Diplomat will chime in. I am pretty sure our layout is different from Dynasty’s and Signatures.
  15. Mine started with baby steps with some wompum biscuits first then some pizza rolls. Once they came out good that was it she was on her way.
  16. I did finally find a fuse and yes it was blown, it was hidden in plain sight so to speak. It wasn't visible but the mount was. I replaced it. It lit up and when I tried to run it for 15 seconds it lasted about a second and blew again. So with it being 22 years old many of the plastic tabs that held various parts on the from had broken off, two of the screw holes that held the circuit board on just disintegrated, I made the executive decision I was not putting more money into it just to have another part fail in a few months or plastic parts rattle and fall off and disposed it(properly of course). In the interim we will use a regular microwave and an air fryer that we already have and be just fine until I want to spend $500 on a new one. Thanks everyone for your input.
  17. Thanks all for your responses. I got it removed but haven't taken it a part again to look for fuses a second time. Will update on what we end up doing.
  18. Well after 22 years of use the convection/microwave finally died. I have practically taken the thing completely apart and was hoping to find a blown fuse but can’t find a fuse anywhere . Before I chuck thing does anyone have any suggestions. I have already checked and tested the outlet. Not the problem. So, if replacement is the only option what have you changed to and why? We liked the convection option.
  19. Great news. Water is a camper killer.
  20. You would access them from the inside. Remove the cover on the ceiling and you should see 4 really long bolts in the 4 corners. Give them maybe one or two complete turns. Shouldn't take much. While you have the covers off you should look for gaps around the air ducts or any aluminum tape that has come loose. Mine are so taped up that you can just about see yourself up there. I sealed everything almost used a hole roll and increased my airflow through the ducts by probably 30%. Just a thought.
  21. There is a rubberized gasket that is between your roof and the AC unit. The 4 bolts that hold the AC unit down can come a little loose. You may just need to tighten them down. We had that a couple of years ago and now I check them a couple times a year. There is a torq spec I am just not sure what it is maybe 50-75lbs. It's not much you really don't want to compress the gasket all the way. Give it a shot.
