  1. I have a penguin 13.5k heat pump that works (but seems low on charge) a penguin II 13.5k heat pump that a line cracked and lost all charge. If anyone wants them or parts from them, they are free if you pick up or pay shipping. 29654 zip code- South Carolina
  2. Ok, the opening in the ceiling has a metal support "box" lining the opening. The rear of the opening has the ducts on either side. There is no support framing around the ductwork. The return air grill bracket is maybe 18 guage sheet metal with support running along the front and back, nothing on the sides spanning the duct openings. I took some 1x1x1/8" aluminum and riveted it to the return grill bracket. Worked out good, bolts are torqued, gasket is set.
  3. Gary, sorry for the lack of info. I originally had a penguin and am replacing it with a blizzard nxt h551816a.
  4. Mounting a new dometic air conditioner/heat pump on a 2007 diplomat. Mounting bolts are to be torqued to 40-55 in/lbs to crush the gasket to 3/4". Problem is, it draws the return grill bracket into the ceiling so far the grill won't attach. There is nothing solid to draw against in the ceiling, just foam and the ceiling material. Has anyone run into the problem or have a solution?
  5. Dennis- Thank you, but I am looking for a different model so I am no longer interested.
  6. I am interested. What is the model number of the light? Thanks
  7. In South Carolina, the propane supplier needs to have insurance covering rv tank filling when the tank is in/on vehicle. If the tank is removed, anyone can fill it. Places that have the insurance charge 30%+ more per gallon. I have been told of the insurance by multiple suppliers, but only their word as proof.
  8. I haven't seen straight on road diesel in years. All of the local pumps ( South Carolina) are at least 5% and most trucks stops are 15-20%. I travel all over the east coast and south west as far as Texas. Is straight on road diesel still available any where?
  9. ULSD=Ultra low suffer diesel LSD-low sulfer diesel The % is how much bio is blended into the fuel. BIO does not have the same energy as petroleum. You will have less power and worse fuel mileage. BIO is a great fuel system cleaner. When Bio started showing up at the pumps- many fuel take liners started to fail. The bio blend would seperate the entire liner from the steel tanks. BIO also has a chance of growing mold if it is left to sit (time and heat will determine when mold will start) Mold in the fuel system is a pain to deal with-not as bad a algea though.
  10. I have a diplomat (rear radiator) and the cord exits out of the bottom in the rear. The hole has four rollers around the perimeter so the cord does not scrape against a hard edge. The power reel is strong and will definitely slice the cord trying to run through conduit.
  11. I bought a 2007 diplomat and have been slowly working the bugs out. I am starting on the roof, but the p/o has done some repairs(?) and I am not sure of how the factory sealed the roof. The caps have some type of foil tape, butyl, dicor, silicone, and some type of mastic brushed over all of it. It is a mess. Does anyone have a picture of their cap joints from the factory? What about the curbside awning mount?
