Yep.,Test strips always seem non conclusive.

Yeah everyone throws that added requirement in. (Or 1yr) I think they say you can freshen the system up up by draining a few gal and adding fresh coolant to it. I sat thru one of their webinars awhile back. I talked to the presenter about maybe presenting at one of the Gatherings. Not sure if he and Scotty ever connected.

The ES Compleat OAT claims it is and is mentioned in their videos

I would go to the Fleetguards website or YouTube and watch their videos on coolant. I’m not sure about the EG but if I was going to use a extended service coolant I wouldn’t want the schedule of using SCA’s. I bet if you watch the videos or call them you will probably pick the one in the photo. I recently went with this coolant with a radiator swap.

If your happy with 10cf at best it’s a viable option.

Absolutely! How do you find a buyer?

I fabricated it when I was still working. The specs were lost thru the yrs. I recently went to the shop and asked the new foreman to look thru the computer files for it and it was gone. I just recently measured and made another however, so I have one I need to put in place of what I rigged up when in FL last winter doing a change out on my current coach. I do have a drawing now but I haven’t installed it. It should be fine however. I can send you a drawing of it if you want to PM me.

What size are popular for most OTR trailers?

Jim can you insert a pic a little further out so we can see the scale of it a little better.

Mikes FASS install video is a must see if planning on doing your own. Watch it a few times and it will all come together and make sense. The fooler relay for the old lift pump is something that could get missed if you don’t understand the need for it. Thanks Mike for your time in making the videos.

Sorry to hijack, but how do you folks that use them a lot manage water consumption? I use mine very sparingly because it eats up so much water and fills the waste tanks.
Are there models that use less water?
Well if your dry camping you have specific challenges as you mentioned. You will have to get creative and use a portable water jug and a tote to capture the gray water from your tank. That’s about all you can do if you can’t dump your gray water. Depending where you are and what you can do maybe you could capture your gray water at the dump valve and use it to flush your toilet, that would cut down on your fresh water refilling needs some. Then hall away your black water in the tote.🤷

If you need new cooler you might be interested in a whole new cooling package. Amazon has a good deal on the whole ball of wax for 2,300. I believe this will fit your unit. I bought this set this summer and will install after first of year. It came crated very well.

That appears to be a rear radiator style stack FWIW.

I had a tow this summer using Coach Net from my storage facility to the shop 15mi I paid nothing.

You can measure the amps or, with the 120v power off and disconnected, measure the resistance. The element has, as I recall, 15w resistance.
See the attached post on this topic. You can also Google it.https://www.irv2.com/forums/f54/how-to-test-electric-water-heater-element-107612.html
Good idea Martin, quicker to do.
-
Yes correct. 120 v panel. A clamp AC/DC multi meter is probably the most used tool in my collection. Watch some videos if you don’t know how to use one. If you buy one be sure it will read DC current.
-
You’ll mis the stackable because of capacity and time to do loads. We have a combo it works really good for our needs.
-
Try a amp meter at the breaker in the panel, see if it’s drawing any amps.
-
Seems like a <$75 pump to me.
-
Did I see that price right? $800!!

I would walk into any flooring Co. Try those big Tile discounters. Floor & Decor

ALL I KNOW....and from conversations with three of four states....extensive with Florida and Illinois and READING A LOT.
The Federal DOT has been sinking a few $$ (as in those with B's) into the Toll systems....even those, in some states, that are sort of "Private Contactors" that the State hired or gave a contract to. That is HOW NC is rapidly expanding the system.
OK....the technology is there...so that there are SENSORS in the roadway and when the transponders communicate with the Toll Computer, there is an AXLE COUNTER. And THAT is what determines the Toll. It USED TO BE that there were weight sensors (Ohio or so) and there was a lot of "old wives tales" and concern for those of us with the 23K rears as to being banned or arrested. That appears to have been debunked....or was never a fact.
ALL IN THERE...or the KEY... or Reader's Digest passage is...
Treadles are sensor strips embedded in the road that detect the number of axles a vehicle has. A three-axle vehicle is charged a higher toll than a two-axle vehicle. These two devices are safeguards to ensure that all vehicles are counted correctly.Aug 26, 2022
OK.... that is about EZ PASS. BUT, all the states that have a "multi state" option...like my pet, Illinois...will state this....in some form or fashion.
E-ZPass transponders allow you to pay tolls electronically from a pre-authorized account. “I-PASS” is the Illinois Tollway's brand for the same E-ZPass transponder/system – you can use I-PASS on any E-ZPass road or bridge and you can use E-ZPass transponders on the Illinois Tollway.
BOTTOM LINE or CONCULSION
Be CAREFUL and READ and UNDERSTAND. My point was "why BUY" a transponder when there are states that will give you, based on a refundable deposit..." one for FREE
Next up. Folk may HAVE transponders that are VEHICLE SPECIFIC. If you have one of them for your MH as well as your TOWED VEHICLE....be aware....you will get CHARGED twice, if the Transponder has the "COUNT MY AXLES" technology. THAT is why there are warnings to put a FOIL covering or bag and HIDE your Towed vehicle one if you are towing and to KNOW how it works.
STILL lots of different systems and flavors....and no offense to Florida, their system is a bit complex. Mini, Sun Pass, Sun Pass Pro and Uni. OMG. For a state that shuts down for 3 days when the "Buicks" hit the road and evacuate... WHY 5 options? The demographics say that the average age is a bit higher than the US so why have the most (seemingly) complex system for the seasoned citizens to comprehend and understand.
That's it...I HOPE...and clears up some things....
Tom thank you for that in depth explanation, the axle counter technology makes sense if it’s accurate. I would think it is before they put it out.
Open Roads just sent out their news letter mentioning a new toll provider Innovative Toll Solutions, that they are teamed up with in some fashion. That’s a no thank you for me at $24 yr. -
It all depends on road conditions. Flat highway with very little if any hills, maybe no headwinds all makes a big difference, but the 13 with the towed seems really hard to achieve. 🤷
