  1. I think Monaco decided to use my coach to locate the elusive plug in a more challenging place to find. I have the under dash area opened up and can find only one unused end. It is a flat 4 with a 12 ga blue, 14 ga white, brown, and black wires. There's power to the yellow with the key on. What is this connector for?
  2. I texted you a couple pics Tom. I'll do more searching tomorrow. There might be another connector with all white wires.
  3. No number on it and the wires are not labeled. I have a picture on my phone but haven't mastered post it on here.
  4. I located the harness under the dash with the six pin Mate-N-Loc cap. With a light tester, I connected the ground to several potential ground points and probed the cap to identify what each wire was for. I could not get a circuit on any of them with the key on. Also tried it with the engine running. No luck. The color of the wires across one row feeding in from the back of the cap are: 1/heavy gauge black, 2/yellow, 3/white. The row below is 1/purple with white stripe, 2/Green, 3/Brown. Is there a fuse that has to be put in or a connection to be made that would feed power to the cap? I would think there would be power to the cap when the key is on. Plus, no BLUE wire that Tom spoke of.
  5. The wet bay is dry this morning. All of this frustration because someone pulled the vent tube out of the exit hole and forced it up over another tube at the top of the black tank. I can see no reason for doing that. I couldn't see it till I removed the outer panel that held the Aqua Hot monitor. A technician had to have done it while servicing the AH, however, I see nothing gained by pulling the tube up. Regardless of the reason, I'm a happy camper. Now, it's on to getting the fresh and grey tank level sensors working.
  6. It shouldn't matter if it is sealed. Once the water level is below the vent, it can't drain anymore unless water gets up to the outlet which could happen while traveling. For a while my cap was off as the previous owner had the drain of the OR system discharging into it. I have since removed it and closed the cap.
  7. You might have something as I did overfill the tank. However, there was some water in the wet bay before I filled it. Depending on where the vent tube is located, it could have siphoned some water till below the exit point. Air could get in through the gravity fill opening. Admittedly, your theory makes sense. Guess I'll know tomorrow.
  8. No. I have no idea how much had dripped out on the ground. I just added that amount to the tank to confirm whether the water was coming from the tank or elsewhere. At this point, I'm thinking the water had accumulated from some other source in the wet bay.
  9. The water dripping stopped and there was still water in the tank. Confusing! I wiped everything dry and added about 30 gallons to the tank through the gravity fill with the coach tilting to the right. After three hours, still no water coming out. It had been dripping for three days, but now has stopped. If it's still dry in the morning, I have to assume the tank is ok. Then the search for a line or fitting leak that would empty into the tank area. Isn't RVing fun? 🙂
  10. Yes Ben. The pex line I mentioned is blue and I assumed it is the vent/overflow line, but it changes to braided hose and goes across the top of the black tank. Frank, We haven't been running the ACs.
  11. New Hope. Question. What is the blue pex tube coming down the corner of the upper black and grey tanks that exits through a hole in the floor next to the fresh tank to the ground? It was up out of the hole and allowed to run water onto the floor next to the aqua hot unit and underneath it. I first thought it was the overflow for the freshwater tank, however, it is above the black and grey tanks about the same height as the fill point on the driver side. It could not have run much water. When it gets above the black tank, it becomes braided poly hose running across the top toward the driver side. I'll have to take another panel off to see where it might go, but it seems unlikely it would come across and go back down to the fresh tank for an overflow. Any thoughts??
  12. Yes, it and all fittings are dry. It seems there must be a crack or hole at or near the bottom of the tank. It also appears that if one removes the gravity fill fitting and the fitting to the pump, it should slide out the passenger side if the shelf above holding the black and grey tanks hasn't sagged. That shelf is wood supported by metal straps, so it's unlikely it has sagged. I think the overflow is part of the gravity fill hose. As mentioned before, I would have to cut the 2" lip at the bottom of the opening along with the 1 1/2 lip on the side up to the top of the tank. I would hope someone on the forum direct knowledge of the removal process can confirm my thoughts/plan.
  13. I keep hoping for a simple answer, but the pump is off, the tank level is down to 3" depth, but the water keeps dripping.
  14. Looking at the passenger side of the tanks, I see that the black and grey tanks sit on a shelf above the wet tank. It looks like it's possible to get the freshwater tank out without removing the grey and black tanks. That would eliminate the need to cut their discharge plumbing. It would require cutting the lower lip of the door opening to slide it out but that could be repaired? Has anyone had to do this on the 06 tank design with the aqua-hot unit next to the tanks?? Thank you for any help.
  15. The gravity fill on mine is at the top of the wet bay and I can see the hose when the inner door is opened. Also, the water level in the tank is at about 3" and continues to leak. I have the coach tilted to the right and it continues to slowly drip out at about a quart in 3-4 hours. Guess I'll sleep on it and make a plan tomorrow.
  16. It appears that the freshwater tank is leaking on our 06 Executive. The outlet and gauge fittings are not leaking. The overflow tube was pulled up out of its outlet hole and I thought it had discharged water into the bay when I briefly overfilled the tank, however, too much water is leaking out onto the ground. If I'm right, all of the tanks have to come out the passenger side. Is there a tutorial for tank removal available? I doubt that I will attempt it, but I want to know the process..
  17. No, the drive axle is rated for 23,000#. I drove it close to 400 miles at these weights and it seemed fine. I do notice that side wind and semis passing affect this coach considerably more than our Allegro Bus. Not sure why as they were both the same length, however, the Bus had IFS instead of the I-beam front axle. It had 15,660#, 23,000#, and 13,000# axles and weighed 41,000# fully loaded with 14,800# on the steer.
  18. Cycling the generator all the way out and back in a couple times plus holding the switch for a few seconds cured the roll out problem. Thanks
  19. More than likely, the manufacturers' felt keeping all tires the same size offset the increased capacity of a larger tire.
  20. Isn't the 305 a 70 bias rather than 80? It has the same capacity as the 295/80.
  21. I suspect the manufacturer looks at what can do the job and COST. They will carry 15,660 which makes it ok in their mind.
  22. Just took our maiden voyage in the coach. After adjusting the tag regulator to 40 psi, with full fuel and two adults up front and 1/2 full fresh water tank, the weights were: Steer--------13480 Drive--------20240 Tag----------7340 We will add more weight to the back, but very pleased with the distribution. I can lower the steer to 110 psi, drive to 95 and the tag to 80 psi. The ride was good at 120, 100, and 90, so should be better at the adjusted pressures. 315's are still a consideration if the 8 1/4" wheel works, but will see how it goes
  23. Guess I have to be more careful with my words here. However, I learned there was a model plane called the Ugly Stick. I didn't know that before. 🙂
  24. Just took our maiden voyage with the coach and the Ugly Stick. Great acceleration, with no hesitation off the line. After 140 miles, the Aladdin said 8.6 mpg, however, we had a nice tail wind much of the way and it was flat going. At arrival, overall, it averaged 7.7 mpg. We started at 450' elevation and ended at 4200 so it was up hill. We'll return home on Sat and average out the trips. I have no history to compare it to, but I'm not expecting any issues with the U.S. We're very pleased with this, our first Monaco, and first ISM engine. The interior workmanship and quality is amazing. I can see why owners have kept them long after the company failed. Travel Safe
  25. On the front of the Kenwood is a MODE button. Each touch of this button will toggle through the aspect ratio till you get the view you want.
