  1. My manual says our 06 Executive has a second display in the bedroom, however, there isn't one there. It also states the all-electric model has a second invertor which I can't find. It seems Monaco wasn't consistent with their designs or descriptions of options.
  2. My 06 Executive had a slight pull to the right. The alignment was good, so I had a tire shop swap the steer tires side to side. After the switch, the coach had a slight pull to the left. I then had the FL tire switched with the R tag. After that the coach drove straight. Today, I installed the TRU Center steering system. Now, it's just point it, hit the set button, sit back and enjoy the view. 😎
  3. I finally found the time to install the Blue Ox Tru-Center steering stabilizer and it is every bit as great as I remember it being on my 03 Phaeton. Instead of a push button on the dash, I used a trolling motor momentary foot switch. When I need an adjustment, just tap it and the steering responds. It might not be as sophisticated as the Newmar of Newell system, but end result is the same. I'll never understand why Blue Ox discontinued production of such a useful product.
  4. That's true on many coaches, however, mine are both 56 gallons as indicated in the owner's manual. We just collect all dishwashing water to the black tank.
  5. The new keypad came, and it works like it should.
  6. That's what I had hoped. They are the same.
  7. I went through calibrating the fresh and black tanks by entering the raw figure when empty and the same when full. The fresh seems to move around some when no water has been removed. Might have to replace the sensor on it. The black is stable and showed the correct amounts when filling. When full, I entered the full raw data and it is correct. The grey tank is identical to the black in shape and volume. Can I just enter the raw full data without going through the filling process? The black tank was easy to see the level through the toilet. The grey would be a bit of a guessing game.
  8. This is for the Aqua-Pro 3000 pump that is in my coach. If you have the same pump, this will help. If you have a different pump, maybe not. To adjust the Aqua-Pro 3000 RV pump, follow these steps: Safety First: Before making any adjustments, ensure the pump is disconnected from the power supply to prevent accidents. Pressure Switch Adjustment: Locate the pressure switch on the pump. It’s usually a small component with an adjustment screw. Turning the screw clockwise will increase the pump’s shut-off pressure (making it more likely to cycle). Turning the screw counterclockwise will lower the shut-off pressure (making the pump less likely to cycle). Testing: Use your RV’s shower or faucet to determine when the pump cycles. Adjust the pressure switch until you achieve the desired performance.
  9. Rick, I think the short cycling is due to the start and cutoff pressures being set too close together. When I turn on a valve, the pump will run continuously till I shut the faucet off. Then it stops about a second or two later. With a faucet on, I can't detect any fluctuation in the pressure.
  10. While checking the pressure in the accumulator tank, water came out the Schraeder valve. That tells me the diaphragm is bad. I can get a replacement, however, it appears some coaches have the tank while others do not. My previous Tiffin did not. Other than eliminating short start and stop times for the pump, I question the need for the tank. Over the use of a tank of fresh water, the Aqua-Pro 3000 pump would have to run the same total amount of time with or without an accumulator tank. Replace the tank or eliminate it????
  11. Guess I should have looked before posting. 🙄 Here are several choices: Amazon.com : motorhome rain gutters
  12. Our previous coaches had what I would call rain gutters along the roof line to collect light rain runoff directing it to either end resulting in just two areas that would show the dirt lines down the side when dried. Our Monaco does not have them, hence there are runoff lines in several areas that show up when dried, especially over the black paint sections. Has anyone added some type of diversion to direct the runoff to either end? Yes, it's a minor issue, however, Monaco uses such a diversion over the windshield. Why not along the sides?
  13. I don't need the FOB but would like the keypad to work. When I first looked into it, I found the reset button and it beeped three times. I then tried to enter the access code into the keypad, however there was no tones when numbers were entered. Is this an indication the system was powered but the keypad is bad? That being the case, I will order a new one. The Viper alarm is under the dash. I don't really need that so am not concerned with getting it operational, as I do not have the FOB for it either.
  14. The Essex KE-1701 keypad on our coach is dead. There is no response when touching the pad. Before I order a new one at $340, is there a way to be certain it is bad? The coach also has the Viper security system that I have no experience or knowledge of its operation. I suspect they are tied together, but again, I have little info on either. I would like to take it to someone or a shop that understands both systems and get them working if possible. I'm in Lake Havasu City, AZ now and traveling back to WI in May. Any suggestions?
  15. After you cross the bridge into the Upper Peninsula, a boat trip over to Mackinac Island is a "Must See". Take a step back in time when only a horse drawn carriage is your mode of transportation. Oh, and the Fudge is to die for. It's a great day trip or book a night in the Grand Hotel where celebrities from all over the world have stayed. You'll have to get your check book out, though. A small interior room was $350 and a bigger room with a lake view was over $800 the last time we were there.
  16. After 15 hours, the gen slide is still firmly retracted. In the past, I was releasing the switch as soon as the slide stopped without holding it for a few seconds. Hopefully, this process will solve the problem. Thanks, David for the heads up on the correct procedure.
  17. Here's a twist from Progressive. There was only one company that would insure my son's 2018 Newell. No other company wanted to touch a $1.5 million coach. The annual premium was $11,000 with no accidents or traffic violations. He just emailed me that Progressive is now insuring up to $1.5 million in WI at least, through Artisans and Truckers Insurance. His premium dropped to $2365. That doesn't make sense at all considering what Richard stated in his first post. I'm hoping he was quoted correctly; however, it sure takes the insurance game to a new level.
  18. I just extended and retracted the generator three time holding the switch at retraction till the change in sound. Hopefully, it will be in the same position in the morning. 🙂
  19. It appears to be the retract valve that is leaking back. Is it necessary to extend the slide all the way or can it be opened a short distance, then retracted and holding the switch for a few seconds when closed several times?
  20. The roll out issue is back. I've tried cycling it out and back in several times, however, it still wants to roll out after several hours. Sometimes only 2" in 24 hours. Sometimes 3-4" in less than 24 hours. Is there a fix to it or is valve replacement the only recourse? I assume it's a motor/valve combo.
  21. If you get to central WI, I recommend that you stop at the "Food + Farm Exploration Center" in Plover. One of my customers and friend built the facility with the help of many of his suppliers. My company (actually my sons company now) provided two computerized center pivot irrigation systems for growing the crops used in the facility. You will come away with a whole new appreciation for AG community. Here: Food + Farm Exploration Center | Hands-on Agriculture Exploration Center (explorefoodandfarm.org)
  22. That's what I've been using for the last few months. I want the hard copy of the same to use when traveling. A hard copy is nice to add notes for future reference.
  23. A visit to Lambeau Field in Green Bay is a must if you are a football fan. Frank Lloyd Wright's "House on The Rock" in Spring Green is a unique experience.
  24. We had coach-net on our 2013 Allegro Bus. I had an AC compressor lockup after a stop near Mesquite, NV. Tiffin provided an AC bypass belt with the coach to use in the event of a compressor failure. I wasn't sure if the resulting engine overheat had done any serious damage. I just wanted a service tech to help install the replacement belt, however, if more damage had occurred, I would have needed a tow. Coach-net said that I could have one or the other, however, I could not get a tow if a service tech came first. With that, I chose to have a tow. They sent a big enough truck from St George UT. When he arrived, we installed the shorter bypass belt, (it took three hands) and all was well. I drove into Mesquite for overnight at a Casino. The next morning, we noticed that the right lower corner of the windshield had popped out enough that I could slide my fingers through the opening. It was due to my having to get off the interstate for the belt issue and put some twist to the body. Another call to Coach-net. The rep said that was a common occurrence. He suggested I duct tape the opening shut and proceed to our destination. I did and we traveled 1600 miles home with no issues and had it reseated. This was three years ago. Since they have changed ownership, I can't attest to their service, however, I'm going to sign up with them again even though I already have Good Sams roadside coverage, The cost is a small price to pay when you need help.
