Need anti Billow for 2001 Monaco

Recommended Posts

I replaced my window awning/slide out topper awning material a couple of years ago. Carefree had the material but I needed to have one arm replaced. They referred me to a small company that makes the arms. I don’t know whether they make the anti-billow ratchet or not. Carefree might be able to tell you. Incidentally, if I had it to do over, I would take the combos down and install separate window awnings and slide out toppers. There were good reasons Monaco went away from the type we have.

Harold,

Many years ago I took a Dremel and removed the long pin on the ends of the Salon and bedroom awning toppers as that system never worked correctly and it was destroying my fabric.

Then later I installed the Carefree Manual Lock on the two roadside Omega I Slide-out Awning Toppers. https://tinyurl.com/9upwc876

Also, by the looks of your fabric you could use some assistance of Stone Vos Inc. and Talin RV to make and install a new awning topper. It is in really bad shape. You won't be disappointed with the quality, workmanship and warranty. They are the best in the country!

I also switched to the old style manual lock. Works much better than the one pictured in the OP.  The only caution is to always make sure it is unlocked before extending your slide out. My Stone Vos fabric is now 5 years old and is still in excellent shape, despite being extended full time.

Harold:

I am not sure if we have any of those left in stock. You can call my company director Amy and ask her - 352-942-2653.

We are also the only company in the USA that makes the Omega question mark arms. They are made of a special aluminum alloy and are thicker and heavier and less prone to being bent. They are made on a CNC machine because the bends have to be exact. We also manufacture the locks for the arms. We always have both in stock.

Obviously we sell the fabric through our sister company Stone Vos. 10 year warranty on fabric and lifetime on thread.
