Ted Carbonaro
Does anyone have a good source recommendation for the rubber seal material for the engine compartment hatch in the bedroom? 06 Camelot
jacwjames
Last year when I redid the flooring in the bedroom I also did the step in front of the closet, I removed the carpet and installed LVP flooring. There was a slight difference in elevation that I needed to compensate for. Looked at different seal. The seal that was in place was OK and already conformed to the hatch so I just decided to add a layer on top. I bought this https://www.lowes.com/pd/M-D-30-ft-x-1-1-4-in-Gray-Camper-Seal-PVC-Foam-Marine-Automotive-Weatherstrip/1096095 I left the old in place and just used a continuous piece of this. This brought the natch level to the floor and conformed to the existing seal. So if your old seal is in halfway decent shape this might be an option. Happycarz
Ted, take a look here. This is so much better than the original bulb seal. It comes in a large roll and I still have enough for your hatches. So, when you get to town we will set up a date to get together. https://www.irv2.com/forums/f115/2006-camelot-diesel-engine-cover-gasket-575465.html
Ted Carbonaro
Thanks Harry! It looks real good and if you endorse it, I’m all for it! I look forward to connecting with you when we get to AZ. One step at a time our coach is getting all the great upgrades! See you in early December.
