63Hotrod
Our new Magnum inverter has a level called full charge once it has been in float for a good bit. It goes into this after sitting all night with no load but falls back to float as soon as there is any thing turned on like the furnace or lights. If I isolate the start battery from the system (MilARC) all lights off it drops into full charge mode in about 1 hr Is this an indication the start battery's are getting weak
96 EVO
Hmmm, I thought I read the Magnum will float charge for at least 4hrs. Not unusual for it to only sit at 'Full Charge' for a short time.
myrontruex
There are lots of parasitic draws on the engine battery side so my opinion is this is normal. Mine does the same thing.
