  1. I have a short hoist similar to that which I have used for 25 years.  Very handy and a lot of jobs are easier on a creeper than using a tall hoist.  I also use it with the lawn mower, off highway vehicles, etc.  The best part is that you control the quality of the work.

  2. Dometic 630516.331E Heat Pump 15,000 BTU removed from a 2008 Beaver Patriot Thunder a few years ago.  I was told it was intermittent but when it was replaced the installer discovered an electrical connector with a loose wire nut.  The assumption was that connector caused the problem & a friend brought it to me for a spare.  It has been on a shelf in my shop since then.  I have not tested it.

NO delivery, pick up only in Chandler, AZ

Mine is a few years newer and had the 2 Horz. arms to support the awning. It had a wind sensor attached to the awning that looked like a 2x2x1 box with a telephone cable coming out of it. This was the wind sensor control wire.

I would call Carefree of Colorado. They sold me a replacement wind sensor and cable when mine went bad. hope this helps,

I think you will find that sensor is not available, but good luck with finding one now.  They have moved to a new bluetooth system on mine, it's a giant step backwards when you have to use your phone as there is no remote offered for it.

  4. If you have the wiring Tom shows, Violet/Orange/White wires daisy chained from gauge to gauge it would be Actia.  If you have Actia you can move those wires from gauge to gauge as long as you keep the daisy chain loop going.  It doesn't care what order the gauges are plugged in.  I seem to remember there is an F1 circuit board in the front run bay that can also cause Actia problems.  I think the board has to be removed to check for corrosion which can usually be cleaned successfully' if it is causing a problem.

  5. If you are in there already I would replace it on principal since it is quite a job to get to it.  Age is always an issue with anything that has a seal, they do not improve with age.  It's the same principal as changing the water pump whenever changing a timing belt on a car, you don't want to have to go back in there when you were already there.

Wow!  They say once you've had a mid-entry there's no going back.  Beautiful paint work.  I love the large dinnete and the Grohe Ladylux faucet.  Newell's are a work of art.

I have been surprised by the similarities between the Signature and the Newell.  Signature has the same Grohe faucet, transfer switch, standby water pump, Valid levelling and the brownish corian color is the same which allows us to use the Corian serving tray and another piece that I had made.

    ...but the DEF!  😉

Wow! That is one beautiful coach. I'm not always a fan of the interiors on the Newells but this one is really nicely done.

It must feel like you're driving a spaceship in that thing!  😀

Happy trails and thanks for all our contributions here.

Some of the interior choices people choose when given the freedom to design their coach can make you scratch your head!

Congradulations Jim. I have helped 3 friends Sell, or locate, inspect, and aquire Newell coaches in the past year. An intersting product, with an incredible owner group. You will be pleased with your decision and the product performance.

Thanks Paul, it will be another steep learning curve.  I signed on with the Newall group which should help.

    Jim,

Congrats on the new coach, but understand, Monacoers is like Hotel California… you can check out, but you can never leave. 🤣     You just become a S.O.B. (Some Other Brand) coach owner. Many of our members no longer own Monacos, but still contribute regularly. We hope you’ll do the same. 😉

I'll be around, someone will probably have a question that I have experience with.

Congratulations Jim.  I hope to see your new coach one day.

The picture is not showing up.

Can you post a link to the video of your new coach?

Thanks Vito, here's the video  2014 Newell Video

I'll be more than willing to do what I can

  8. If you are not using the diesel burner and relying on the electric element you will not get enough hot water to keep up with the demand with the single 1650 watt 120 volt element you likely have.  If you are using the diesel burner and not keeping up with demand that would be a different story.

I have the 600 series with to 2000 watt elements and cannot keep up with demand on a 40 degree morning with all heat zones on and a shower.

  10. This is an example of the thermostatic switch.  The main body is attached to the firewall in the generator compartment and the tube goes through a small hole into the evaporator. A46 Switch  Some folks jumper it forever instead of replacing the switch but the evaporator may turn into a block of ice on a humid day.  I found one at NAPA which may fit, I'll check later today. NAPA Switch May Fit

However, if there are any thoughts about the "start thermistor", please post!

PTCR It won't start without it.  Find it, smell it, they normally smell burnt when bad. PTCR

There is no age to expect to replace an A/C unit.  I have a bunch on stick houses 20-29 years old working fine.  Most of my major problems have been with the newer R410 units which were all installed while I was travelling and not available to see the real problem ($$$ Profit).

I have an 06 Executice but lots of my paperwork shows Signature. Not sure if its identical but a lot of the diagrams I do have are the same from what I can tell. My AC doesn't blow cold. I think the compressor works but not sure and not nearbthe RV to check, but it'd be interesting to see this wiring diagram you have and maybe check out the relays you mentioned.. Can you share it and maybe a couple pics?

I think the '06 Executive may have different wiring.
