  1. Thanks Rick, Glad to know that it’s the second source charging issue if I turn on the generator for roof AC while the inverter is on for the fridge & basement ice maker while on the road. Does that mean I should turn off the inverter while the generator is on?
  2. What is the controller style and part number you need? I replaced one of my two controllers from the original one-button style to a newer two-button style. I was told to jumper the two sensor leads to yield a green light. I have purchased a second two-button controller but have not yet installed it. So I have one & maybe two) of the controllers you need. Again—style and part numbers would help. I have seen new Tecma Silence Plus toilets online for $1200-1400, but replacing the controller(s) would be so much more cost-effective.:
  3. Yes, I have used them—better than crimps on our rolling earthquakes!
  4. Had the same problem in my ‘06 Knight, except that I also had no 120VAC when on shore power! Checking the clicking, I removed the dead front panel from the main breaker panel, removed the 4-pin molex connector from the board and found burnt connection. Burnished the connectors, put it back on the board and viola! all lights working on EMS and full power in coach.
  5. Ours is a 2006 Knight. The rear closet has stair-step ledges at the rear and the floor is factory carpeted. Not sure there’s enough space for a second hatch.
  6. I’ll check out shipping & get back to you. what’s the zip code?
  7. I have one from my 06 Knight. It hooks onto the upper ladder (not hinged). Make me an offer I can’t refuse.🤑
  8. That makes sense, but all existing Romex in & out of the inverter are solid—I think! I’d better recheck!
  9. I do plan to upgrade the CB to 50A if I can find some solid copper 6/2+G Romex or direct-bury cable. Mostly seeing stranded.
  10. I agree. So what route did you take to get “50A coming in” (to the Victron)?
  11. I have one to supply the microwave and “everything else” off the one AC Out that is inverted, but that’s not adequate with only 30A in.
  12. Tom, Thanks for the quick response! I failed to indicate that I have already upgraded from the Magnum ME2012 to a Victron 3000 Watt, 50A Multi inverter/charger. I don’t need the wiring diagram which will only show which wire is on what connection—which we already know; I need to know the actual path the wire takes from point A to point B, so I can pull the new 6/2 wire from the inverter back up to the breaker panel.
  13. Does anyone know the physical path that the 30A AWG10 Romex takes from the main breaker panel in the rear bath to the inverter? I plan to upgrade the feed to the inverter to the full 50A of which it’s capable. I may also use the pre-existing 30A Romex to power 1 Air Conditioner off the inverter, after I upgrade the battery bank to 400 AH. ‘06 Knight 40DFD
  14. Glad you found to the tripped breaker(s). Besides the inverter, there is one on the generator that trips if/when we have too many heat sources running.
  15. Three years ago I replaced the Norcold 1210LIM with an LG 21cf counter depth French Door residential fridge. Was able to access a few inches of hollow cabinet space. Switched the Romex from a shore power connection to one supplied from the Inverter. I replaced the (4) 6VDC deep cycle AGM batteries (250 net useable AH) with (3) 12VDC Lithium Ion Phosphate 100AH batteries (300 useable AH) and upgraded to a Victron inverter-charger. After boondocking last week @ the Havasu Fireworks show, I may add a 4th LI battery, and am contemplating a full roof of solar.
  16. I had my head-knocker removed & right cabinet reduced to fit a 43” UHD TV. I would have to remove & cut the front (windshield side) of remaining A/V cabinet to get my day/night shades to align with the slanted windshield pillars. “Some day”.
  17. Mine is Marshall Excelsior 605H. Will the 298 fit & mount the same way?
  18. Are you aware that your battery bank will only provide two times the listed AHs? The first series connections will double the voltage to 12vdc, but not the total AH. Furthermore, lead acid, and even AGM batteries can only be drawn down to 50%. So the most you can get out of your battery bank is 235AH. That may be plenty, but only if the batteries are in good shape and performing as expected.
  19. On my 06 Knight with Onan QD8000, where is the generator’s starter solenoid?
  20. I don’t know about your new inverter, but my Victron will not start the generator until I can wire in some external timer relays to accommodate Oman’s glow plug delay start & stop. It will be worth the effort once we get a new puppy.🙂
  21. Check pin breaker(s) on Magnum Inverter that feeds the rear bathroom GFCI, which feeds a few other outlets.
  22. If this link works, it has a pic of the board I had, with both the 120v tube fuse on the left, and the 5A 12v fuse on lower right. https://www.boatandrvaccessories.com/products/norcold-628661-2-way-refrigerator-power-supply-circuit-board?gclid=Cj0KCQjw2MWVBhCQARIsAIjbwoMjUu1G8NKQ6dbFG5AeGOdYiTwhalfmiplwhqD8QU1mqOX0YDrYGiQaAkZZEALw_wcB
  23. My ‘06 Monaco Knight with Norcold 1210IM had three failure points: Breaker on main panel for 110v operation. 120v tube type fuse on circuit board* on back of fridge. 5A fuse (#F73) in front run bay. *May also have had 5A fuse on same circuit board—don’t know for sure as I replaced it with an LG French Door!
