  1. A 38 foot class A towing a car and a 5th wheeler together in that area? Good luck!!!!! I would not recommend that towing on a flat interstate road let alone on a state mountain road. What is the max towing weight the motor home could tow. Hope your brakes are good. Some people love to live dangerously. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  2. Call Scott Zimmer at Source Engineering 541-935-0308. Source has Bilstein Shocks custom made to their specifications for each Roadmaster chassis. Their shocks a guartenteed for life of the coach for the original owner. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  3. There is a input side and a output side of a GFI outlet. May be you have yours wired backward. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  4. I remember several years back there was a post about using a specific GF outlet in a Monaco coach. I will try to research that and post back. Not all GFI outlets are the same. Chuck B 2004 Windsor It's not uncommon for something in the RV to have the ground and neutral tied together, causing the GFI to trip. In some it's the inverter. The only way to test it is to lift the hot wire for each circuit at the breakers (with power removed of course) one at a time until the culprit is found. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  5. Good bye and good luck with another brand. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  6. GFI protection was installed on your coach for a reason, protection from an electrical shock. I pray that you do not experience that loss of protection. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  7. The name of the game is to get another coach out to the dealers to be sold no matter what it takes. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  8. It is for a battery temperature sensor that needs to be attached to the side of the battery. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  9. You would do better to replace the 2 existing batteries with new ones because they will pull the new ones down to their level. Chuck B 2004 Windsor

  11. The assembly line is a entrant job at the old Monaco assembly lines. The new techs would work until a higher paying job becomes open such as in the service centers. So the high turn around of techs leaves little job experience on the lines. The wiring harness was assembled on a wire loom ordered to a specific coach. So no consistency from coach to coach. Each stop on the assembly line was a timed stop. When the buzzer sounded the coach would be moved to the next position. Any work Not Completed was left undone. What you see is what you get. 12. Do yourself a favor and install a gravity flush toilet with a spray washer wand. You can get them at Camping World. https://www.campingworld.com/inside-rv/bath/bathroom-fixtures/rv-toilets Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  13. Go to Lowes or any other home store and get some bath tub gripper tape. Put a strip of that tape from top to bottom of each slide ends or sides. The gripper tape will flip the gaskets the right direction each time you open and close the sides. Usually the factory installed the gripper tape on the roof of the slide. Chuck B 2004 Windsor The factory uses a industrial grade adhesive that cannot be purchased in a consumer marketplace. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Life-Safe-Gator-Grip-4-in-W-Black-Anti-Slip-Tape/1000060753 Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  14. The following is the latest list of RV recalls complied by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA): • Forest River Inc. is recalling 1,561 2022 Palomino Puma and Puma XLE fifth wheel and travel trailer recreational vehicles. The exterior micro kitchen griddle may be stowed while still connected to propane. • Forest River, Inc. is recalling 74 2022 Surveyor travel trailers. The fresh air intake tube length may be too short, allowing it to detach and causing the burn chamber to crack. • Ford Motor Company is recalling 391,866 2021-2022 F-150, 2022 Maverick, Expedition, Lincoln Navigator, F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 vehicles. Due to a software error, a towed trailer equipped with an electric or electric-over hydraulic brake system may not brake. • Keystone RV Company is recalling 1,155 2022 Bullet, Outback, and Passport travel trailers. The coupler hitch may have been welded improperly, which can cause the trailer to separate from the tow vehicle. FWIW, Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  15. Several years ago I posted that this would be coming. Many on this group said I did not know what I was posting about. In addition to having the correct drivers license, I also posted in that same post that motor homes will evidentially be required to be weighed when entering a state. Being over weighed would require paying a fine which would be additional revenue for the state. I saw that when I was in Northern California staying at Red Bluff RV park. At that time they were zeroing in on fifth wheelers being towed by under sized pick up trucks heading north into Oregon. I remember several times a 3 axle fifth wheel RV would spend the night next to me. I would warn the driver as to what he might be dealing with. He would go north into Oregon the next morning. Several hours later his rig would return pulled by the correct size tow vehicle. The Oregon highway petrol would be waiting at the state line to escort the 5th wheel into their weight station. Many of them would return being towed by the correct size pick-um- up truck. The owners wallet was a lot lighter. I predict that once states realize there is fine revenue is available from overweighed motor homes, they will zero in on that revenue. FWIW, Chuck B 2004 Windsor I forgot to add that there would be required to have a air brake endorsement. Chuck Boros 2004 Windsor
  16. I can get rid of the buzzing by turning off the breaker at the power pole and turning it back on. Might take several tries. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  17. The ESCO 65N transfer switch came on our 2004 Windsor free, no extra charge. Never had Any Problems with it. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  18. It takes just one cook to spoil the broth. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  19. That is one reason mirror covers a made. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  20. No, not me but see below; https://community.fmca.com/topic/3781-transfer-switch-iota-50r/ https://www.rvnews.com/nhtsa-issues-recalls-affecting-jayco-keystone-thor-winnebago/ There are more of these recalls if you google them. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  21. There are 2 blue wires coming from the furnace is used to turn on the furnace. A contact closure or shorting the 2 wires together will turn on the furnace. Purchase a mechanical thermostat and install it at a place where you can extend the 2 wires to the thermostat. A Honeywell model RTH111B would work perfectly. The instructions in the box will tell you where to hook up the 2 blue wires. Then you will not have to worry about Dip switches, and programing to use the furnace. Chuck B 2004 Windsor I would recommend a trip to your local propane dealer to repair any propane issues in your coach. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  22. FWIW, if you have a IOTA transfer switch in your coach you need to unplug the shore power on your coach. Leave it that way until you replace the transfer switch. The problem with the IOTA transfer switch is that it switches the neutral wires only. Not the L1 and L2 wires. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  23. On the 2004 Windsor, the low coolant sensor is attached to the ECM on pin 28.182 labeled low coolant sensor. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  24. You need to download the parts list to your device. It has a lot of parts listed for your coach. The parts list can be found in the download section of the group site. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
