  1. OK newbie here, did you try googling DAV-C450? If you do, you will find downloads for the system that includes manuals and operating instructions. With the manuals and instructions you should be able to get your C450 up and running. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  2. If there is a DOT number on the lens, google it for more information. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  3. Check the underside of the touch pad to see if the connection has worked partly loose due to road vibration. While there unplug the connection and plug back in. Allison recommends that when you shift from reverse to drive you shift to neutral and then to drive. Same for shifting to the other direction. Sometimes we are, are own worse enemy. 4. You can use a conduit fish tape to fish the JKT through the ceiling the entire length of the coach. Just run the fish tape as far as you can to the next ceiling access be it lights, etc. You can use a standard phone connecting block to plug the cable into to gain access to each wire. 5. There should be a temperature sensor used to control the unit. Monaco put one of ours in the air intake of the air conditioner. It needs to be moved to where no air is blowing on it. Chuck B. 2004 Windsor Nothing is ever said about the use of the flat telephone cable. The flat cable is subject to cross talk because there is no twist in the wires. Cross talk can come from various sources. The most common source is the florescent lights in the ceiling. Also there is the use of the flat telephone cable as data cable. The difference is how the plug is mounted on each end. On telephone cable the clip is mounted with both clips facing in one direction. When used as a data cable the clips are mounted one end with the clip up and the other end with the clip facing down. When looking at the width of the cable you will notice a ridge on one side. That ridge is there to let you know which side of the cable it is. I replaced all my flat ribbon cable with 2 pair JKT cable. Red, green, yellow, and black wires in the cable. The red and green are twisted, and the yellow and black are twisted. Hope this helps, Chuck B 2004 Windsor

  7. In my 80+ years on this planet earth I have run across many of what I call "ole sayings". One that has stuck most with me is, "if you don't use it you loose it". That also applies to your motor home. Folks park their coach for over a period of time. They do not exercise All systems in their coach at least a couple times a month. When they want to use their coach, they find that systems do not work like they should. There are times when we cannot exercise. When that happens, one needs to try out all systems for several days before starting on a trip. Need I say more? Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  8. As far as which battery bank the various dash items are powered off, it depends on how it was wired on the assembly line. Bill D recommended that you find the ground buss on the outside of the firewall, loosen up all the screws, and spray the entire buss with WD 40. Then retighten all the screws. Remove and clean both ends of the cable that is attached to the buss. Since the ground wire is daisy chained to all the gauges on your instrument panel, you need to tighten up the wires on each gauges. Monaco used a lot of white wires for both 12vac and ground. See if there is writing on the insulation of the wire. The wires will come loose due to vibration from road travel. You might want to add this to your annual preventative maintenance schedule. 9. On my 2004 Windsor there are 2 ECM programing parameter for oil pressure, True oil pressure or 60 pound pressure. I had mine changes from 60 pound to true pressure. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  10. The problem happens when you turn on the dash air before the cooling fans that pass air through the evaporator are not running making the high Freon side Freon get too high. That causes the Freon to leak. The solution is to not turn on the dash air until the coolant temperature gets warm enough to turn on the fans. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  11. Berry at Josam's recommended them. I ran them on my 2004 Windsor for 6 years. Worked great. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  12. In the lower side of the bottom of the tank that might be located in you plumbing bay. Get a small mirror to look behind the bottom of the white panel. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  13. You need to re-calibrate the Empty and Full levels of the tank. Be careful when cleaning the sensor. There is a jell like substance in the sensor. Do Not Remove that jell because you will destroy the sensor. When you remove the sensor, obtain a 90 degree elbow. Screw the elbow into the tank with the other end of the 90 degree pointing up. Install the sensor into to 90 degree elbow that is pointing up. That way you will not get any crud on the sensor. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  14. Almost daily members request sources for parts on the group. I recommend that everyone download the parts list that Frank M has put together in a downloaded format. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  15. Guardian plates? If your damage is not that bad, aluminum plates from Lowes will suffice. That is what I installed on my 2004 Windsor. Worked great for hundreds of opening and closing the slide. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  16. IMHO, it is best to use the correct functional designation so that you can receive the correct solutions. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  17. I agree with Richard S, they are called docking lights. The back up lights are in the tail light assembly.
  18. If your virus scan indicated you have a keyboard tracker, I hope you did not use you computer to access bank accounts. If so who ever placed a keyboard tracker on your laptop has your login and passwords to your bank account plus any other personal information you typed in. I have a anti malware software and C Cleaner Pro on my laptop. I run C cleaner when I shutdown my laptop every night. IMO, it is time to junk what you have and start new. Chuck B 204 Windsor
  19. There are 3 stages to charging your battery bank. Bulk, absorption, and float charge. The 3 stages can take up to 4 hours or more time. If you do not allow the charger to complete the 3 stages, you will shorten the discharge rate time of the battery bank because the battery bank does not receive the full charge. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  20. We traveled with a cat. They will catch a mouse in the coach at night. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  21. It takes 2 actions for the keypad to work. Pressure and the heat from your finger. That prevents the heat from sun light to activate the code. Due to use and wear the pressure on the number does not release. Therefore one of the actions is activated. Then add the heat from the sunlight you get the beeping sound. The only remedy is to get a new keypad. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  22. The top pin is designed to move so that if the latch gets slightly out of adjustment, the latch will engage. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  23. I would replace the ignition switch first. Take a picture of the wire location on the ign switch, remove it, and take it to a local parts store, hopefully a NAPA parts store.
  24. The protection software on my laptop has blocked me from downloading your manual. Scotty, what say you? Chuck B
