  1. I guess it's time to turn in my keys, too blind to see let alone drive it. Lol!
  2. I, just as JD appears to have done, have used 4"and 6" eternabond tape on every joint where it is practical, highly recommend it.
  3. No offense to those who live in Indiana, but the humidity, the bugs as well as too far from the Pacific Ocean would make that a no go for me.
  4. Check to see if either of the round fusesin the inverter are popped out, we had a similar situation 3-4 years ago. I tried the same steps as you, replaced GFCI, then thought of checking the inverter.
  5. We no longer have the fifth wheel, sold it in 2017, bought our 2007 Holiday Rambler Endeavor. Rambler has the Domestic ND1200 fridge, no serious issues with it, only replaced the cooling fans in 2018 and added the chase to vent it as the factory did not install it correctly.
  6. We had the Norcold 1200, series in a 2010 Carriage Cameo fifth wheel, that had the overheating issue. Norcold hard the dealer replace that sensor in 2010, then the entire cooling unit failed in 2013. We were in Casa Grande, Az, had a great tech look at it. He said our extended warranty company would only pay for a rebuilt, but he would not install it unless the insurance company would accept future liability for potential fires. The insurance company then approved a new cooling unit. In 2014 we received a letter from a law firm saying we were part of a class action suit against Norcold and that we would be receiving a check for five years as agreed to by Norcold. We got a check for approximately$300 every July for five years. I am not privy to all the events leading up to the lawsuit, but I have read that there were several fires some of which totalled the RV.
  7. Not sure where you live, but we have a former Monaco employee just south of using Junction City, Oregon, business name Amazing Creations, who replace the fridge with a residential for under1k. You provide fridge of course. Scott 8s his name, knows these coaches inside and out.
  8. Tom, nothing political about it, just good lawyering that gives the short end to dealers and customers. As long as we have lawyers running things we don't have a chance in hell of getting Monaco right or anything bigger than Monaco.
  9. As Cliff said, tested the capacitor, it was ok, had to be the magnetron. You could save money by getting a non-convection. Thr biggest consideration is getting one with a similar pivoting door otherwise the door won't open.
  10. Ours did the same thing two years ago, magnetron went out, pretty expensive to replace especially in a 14cyrarvole microwave. We purchased new, same model, but cut hole to vent to the outside to help keep heat out of the coach.
  11. Rich, my post was not meant to imply that you did anything wrong by ordering vs purchasing locally. I agree with buying locally, however, I have run into issues by some folks not wanting to do work unless they sell the product. Obviously getting the best price in these days of high prices is important.
  12. Rich B, sounds as if tire shops are not happy you didn't buy the tires from them, profit on mounting vs tire sale and mounting not enough for them.
  13. If that ball of wire is your phone cord to the ac I suspect it was cheaper to leave the ball of wire vs the labor to cut it and add a new connector. I have seen 4" heat ducts in the ceiling 5 ft longer than needed that restricts the air flow.
  14. As an Oregonian who has traveled this route hundreds of times we have never declared personal fruit or veggies. As said previously they are looking for cases of fruit or veggies, which one might be selling. They do frown on firewood obtained from other areas and bringing it into Ca.
  15. Thanks to everyone who posted suggestions. You know the old adage "who needs the instructions?". Pulled out the owners manual and it said, for my domestic 1452 model, to keep pushing auto/store button until auto stayed on, I pushed it a few times and once auto engaged it switched to ac for the fridge.
  16. Not sure how to force it to 110? Control board shows batteries fully charged, no other issues apparent with 110.
  17. Brought my 2007 Holiday Rambler Endeavor 40SKQ up from store, plugged in to 15 amp at home as usual to prepare for a trip. The fridge keeps diverting to has. Other 110 working, lamps, outlets etc. Any help appreciated.
  18. Thanks to all who provided info, all is appreciated.
  19. Mine is a sliding tray. Are special precautions before removing the batteries?
  20. I want to remove the 4 house batteries and 2 coach batteries to clean them as well as clean, lubricate and paint the battery tray. Is there a procedure/and or suggestions of the steps to take?
  21. Sounds as if the tech didn't know what he/she was doing and removed the inner skylight, then replaced with the external piece only. I'd challenge them on that install.
  22. I have different opinions/experiences regarding whether to deploy slides before or after leveling. To me it seems counterintuitive to deploy slides before leveling as the coach could be slightly twisted on an unlovely surface. Again, that has been debated for years.
  23. Dave, on our 2007 Holiday Rambler I position the coach on the site, plug in shore power, using air dump and brake to lower air to about 40psi, turn ignition key to a accessory, turn on leveling system and hit auto level. The next step has been debated many times, that is deploying slides before or after leveling, I deployed slides after leveling. I always have a 48 inch carpenter's level to check level front to rear and side to side. If the auto level isn't level I turn off the leveling system, turn it back on and use manual level to adjust until level. it dedns like a long process, but it only takes a couple of minutes.
  24. I did not get a price on M144, but did on M177, $3247, and M157, $3049.
