  1. Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions regarding my mystery leak. Based on info I received I'm suspecting it is the backflush backflow prevention valve, however, I will look at tyecvacuum breaker as well as they are next to each other. I will be back flushing in a couple of days and will have my wife watch the valves as I turn the water on and off to the back flush. I will report back once I have it solved so others can use it for future reference should they have the problem. Thanks again for all the input. Ray
  2. Stephen, where are you when I need you? I'm a little to old and physically beat up to contort myself to get the valve out. I also don't have tools for working on pex piping. I'll have to rely on my local plumber or RV tech.
  3. Larry, I removed the bottom in the cabinet, located the valve behind the 2 inch drain/vent abs line. As well as I could see or feel there was no moisture on the floor. I wrapped a rag around the line wzter supply line coming up to the valve. I'll be back flushing in a couple of days and will remove everything again so my wife can look in that area while I back flush. I'm hoping this is the problem and a new valve is the fix. Thanks for your input.
  4. Larry, thanks for the input, you may have solved the issue. I back flushed around 9pm Friday, three spots were already there, I had also back flushed 5 days prior. I'll be back flushing Tuesday or Wednesday and will check it out when I do.
  5. Scotty, how many and what type of vendors participate? Who provides the food for the meals listed in the agenda?
  6. Are these events always held in Florida or on the east coast?
  7. Agreed Rick, however, last summer I used, after thoroughly cleaning the roof, 6 inch eternabond tape on all roof seams including where the big awning is installed, skylight, front underwear end caps, and any other seam, also caulked places where eternabond did not work as well as installed new ac gaskets. In addition I caulked around all windows and the entry door and awning. Inspected and lubed all slide seals, etc. I'm from Oregon and we had significant rain after the work was done, no leaks. That is why this is really puzzling me.
  8. Removed access panel to shower valve, dry, pulled engine hatch, dry, removed furnace vent under bathroom sink, dry, removed access panel under front of shower, dry. Will be looking at ac vent, speaker, and light fixture in ceiling. After that, time to call Sherlock.
  9. She doesn't need to help me with the insanity, I'm doing well with that by myself. Pulling the carpet is probably the next thing, but I don't want to get in to something I can't handle. The water spots are not consistent, they appear infrequently. My wife does some laundry daily, we shower daily, do dishes daily, I backflush every 5 days, nothing seems to tie in to when the spots appear. I checked under the engine hatch this morning looking for any sign of moisture or water on the ground, nothing. I'll pull ac duct, speajer and light fixture later today to see if any water has collected innthe ceiling. If it doesn't get worse I'll wait until I return to Oregon in April to have the carpet pulled. There is a guy in Coburg, Or, who has an RV repair business, Scott at Amazing Creations, who worked for Monaco and knows these coaches stem to stern. I'll have him check it out, make the repair, and likely replace the carpet.
  10. Dr., no sleep walkers, however, another wet spot appeared just as we were going to bed last night. This one is perpendicular to the other three, again about one foot apart. Strangely the other three spots were nearly dry. No rain, no ac's running, no water pump running, no signs of water in the ceiling, etc. Time to call Columbo.
  11. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions, I will act on all of them tomorrow, as for now I'll have a beer and a hot dog.
  12. Scott, there are two speakers and a light in the area, but not directly above the spots. I don't think it is coming from above because in September I cleaned the roof thoroughly then used 6 inch eternabond tape at all seams as well as around the skylight, etc. I also replaced gaskets in both ac's. I caulked everything else. We had one really heavy rain here in Mesa, Az about 2-3 weeks ago, there was no visible water infiltration from that rain. We also had 3 days of lighter rain.
  13. Ken, you are correct on the 4 ceiling ducts, however they are not close to the water spots. The spots are a foot from the cabinet in the driver's side slide. They start about 2 ft from where the hallway tie ends and are 6 inches in diameter with about a foot between each spot front to rear.
  14. No dog, would be nice if we did then it would be problem solved. I agree that it's hard to believe it would be from below, but there is no trail of water from the bathroom area, which is closest water source.
  15. Ray, the A/C is 4 ft forward and left from the spots, we have not used A/C since we arrived Dec. 5.
  16. I have a 2007 Holiday Rambler Endeavor Model 40 SKQ. We are currently in Arizona, no rain for two weeks. Today in the bedroom about a foot from the front of the cabinet in the slide we found 3 spots of water approximately 6 inches in diameter and probably 1 foot apart in line parallel to the coach. The water heater is in the right rear corner of the passenger side, kitchenbsink, washer, shower, and bathroom sink are all mid to passenger side if the coach. The utility hook up bay is mid-coach drivers side. The only water line that might go under the area of the water spots would be from water inlet to the water heater. Has anyone with a Rambler or Monoco SKQ model experienced this issue or does anyone know if a waterline might be going thru that area? Also, are the waterlines visible from underneath the coach?? Thanks for any help or suggestions on this issue. There is no visible sign of a water pathway from either the water exterior anybif the bathroom fixtures. It seems odd to have 3 spots in a row with a foot between them.
  17. Do you have a GFCI plug that you are aware of? All of our outlets, 10 or 11, are on a GFCI that trips occasionally. You might also check your inverter, ours has two fuses and occasionally one will pop out.
  18. Todd, I have been using Mop n Glow for several years. I clean the roof thoroughly then use a sponge mop to apply a coat of mop n glow. I'm careful not to put it on so heavily that it runs down the side of the coach, it will cause streaks on the sides if i overuse it. I have thought of rolling up an old sheet and laying it along the edge as I apply the product. Sorry I don't have pics, but it does a nice job. I usually do it in the spring and again in the fall.
  19. The red one might be your battery disconnect switch, mine is on the same panel, by the front door, as the step cover, porch light, big awning etc.
  20. I replaced my 14 yo mixing valve this summer after 5 years of Arizona corrosive water passing thru it. it was not difficult, just a little tight working around the bed and bypass closet doors. I checked with my local RV dealer for price on the valve and was able to purchase it on Amazon for $75 less. I think it was around $140 in June 2021.
  21. My '07 Holiday Rambler has separate control for the door awning, mine are on a panel at the left inside of the entry door.
  22. Steven, please post more on how this works out for you. we have DISH too, but only have the Playmaker portable satellite dish with the Wally receiver, I would like to have an outdoor TV, not sure if my setup will allow that even with a wireless HDMI. What satellite dish do you have?
  23. I carry a can of blaster for those problems, it needs to set a few minutes.
