  1. Putting together a list of questions. That was the #1 on the list. Were also going to see a person who had there's done so i can see the work in person. Will let you know what I find out.
  2. Nope! Keep posting, you need to sound off & we need to hear how you are being treated. Sometimes life's a bitch, sometimes life's just another day, right now life's a bitch! Read your GoFund me page. I will assume your speaking the truth. I don't trust dealerships & most mechanics. I have to ask, was the starter bad? Did the mechanic bench test it when he got it out? Before putting on a new one starter thay better known the old one was dead! Way in hell would it would take $10,000 to pull turbo . Then it's broken into while sitting on there lot. I assume it's still there. Time for that place to step up to the plate and work out a deal. Society is going to hell in a handbasket. But all you have to do is read the bible, it tells us were we are going. We will do what we can, and I hope others will do the same. Heres our morning view.
  3. Hi Bill, question do you have an aluminum roof?
  4. I prefer a jeep wrangler TJ or JK. They are the most used toad. For good reason. Takes less than 5min to hook up. The 4 wheel drive will also take you places that you could only dream of. I found a BlackHawk all terrain. Used. Absolutely love it. Also found a lunch box blue ox break buddy. There a bit of a pain in the backside but I only paid $50.
  5. Things can get crazy, please remind me next week when I get home.
  6. Hope this works, let me know. https://www.facebook.com/navarrosdobyshop He has a Arizona phone number. If you can't find it let me know and I will get it for you.
  7. You need to have a picture from the end. It looks like the same stuff that I have. If it is it has a little flag on 1 side, and the other side has a cup on the other side. Sorry I don't have the order with me. Its at home and I won't be back for other week. I found the stuff at RV Renovators in mesa az & at La Mesa rv in mesa az. La Mesa had it in almond. RV Renovators had it in white. It was running in the $3.60 a foot range. The stuff I found was quite a bit lighter a was around $60 for a 50ft roll. Wish that I would have gotten the heavier stuff. But it's working just fine. When I get home I'll find the order an send it. I made a video on how to fix it. If your interested. Problems that I ran into. Dissimilar metals corrode. So using stainless steel or steel screws when you have a aluminum roof & frame will cause you major problems in the future. You need to use aluminum rivets.
  8. At this time James 1:2 isn't a lot of help. You have some hard decisions to make in the next few days. Hope you take a few days to explore all options. Rebuild, there's a lot of good engines out there from fire or wrecked coaches. Other shops. So sorry.
  9. Dang! That's enough to make a preacher cuss! Never heard of a turbo destroying a whole engine before. But with that being said there a lot of things that I'm learning lately.
  10. Do you have a aluminum roof? Would need to see a picture of the trim. To know if it's the same as on my coach. They used a number of different styles. If its the same as on our Diplomat I can tell you how to fix it also.
  11. Wraps that I have inquired about thay say have a 5yr lifespan depending on how the coach is stored & the environment you live in. Then they need to be removed. We just reserved a spot to get our coach painted in Los Algodones Mexico in February. Its a 38ft Monaco diplomat Full body paint 4 colors. $14G. It will take 5 to 8 weeks to complete. They have been in business 45 years. In the states we have been quoted 28g & up.
  12. My O My. Do I have a lot to learn. Just figured that was just the way it was with these old rigs. Never had what I felt was a severe problem, but it always takes a little correcting to keep the old girl centered in the lane. Side wind hitting 380 sq feet will push you around. If the wind gets to strong i just figured it's time to slow down or find a parking spot till it calms down a little. Qust from passing semis. Push me around a little. I just grap the wheel a little tighter till they pass. Could I be so Nivea? Lol (yep) You guys have pointed me in a whole new direction on how to spend a bunch more on this rig. Looks like its time to spend some time on the web. Can you point me in the right direction were to start looking? JD, if your still in Yuma we would love to see what you have done with your rig. If you don't have the time for visitors or have hit the road again. Safe travels & hope your major problems are behind you.
  13. Apologies if I offended anyone with my comments about truck drivers. My dad was a a truck driver with well over 5 million miles under his belt. I was raised with the concept of, Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. If I pulled my rig next to a traveler an run my engine all night for my comfort, even today at 89yrs old that old man would beat my ass. Today I won't run my generator all night unless I'm close to 150ft away from others.
  14. Wow, in my coach you aren't going anywhere till it is aired up. My breaks won't release until I have 80lb's or better.
  15. Understand what you are saying, but thats only 1/2 the story. We have had then pull right next to us when the lot is mostly empty an they could park an acre away when it's 65⁰ . Or even whe when theres a truck stop a mile down the street. I don't give a dam what they are doing or what there job is, there's no excuse for being selfish & rude.
  16. We have the same problem with truck drivers who run there engines all night.
  17. Since we live in Arizona and have to travel for you to do the work. What flooring do you use?
  18. Ernie I have seen many floors in used rv's were they have used the engineered flooring. After a while I see gaps in the flooring because the coach flexing. How do you prevent that problem?
  19. Thank you, we want to plan a trip to Texas anyway. Will check them out.
  20. Thanks Called them. Thanks for the reply.
  21. Bob Your dealing with a small place. Walmart they cost $50 to $100. 1 in the bedroom & 1 in the living room. You got it covered. If you have a $1000 and it makes you feel better. 😉
