  1. Thnx. Good idea I’ll replace the water hose as well n c if there is anything to lube while I’m in there
  2. Good morning all, I am upgrading my current sanicon to the new turbo model. Are there any tricks or concerns to dismantling the wet bay, or anyone who has done this that can provide any info I should know about. Thanks,
  3. Thanks for the advice, The RCA jacks that plug into the amp from the stereo has a ground loop isolator on it. I'll check further into the amp light, it may just be showing it has power and it may not be on until the stereo is on. Regarding the lights, that will be a project I'd like to do anyhow. Good point looking to see if the wires/ground are making contact with something, I did straighten out a lot of the mess. Thnx again!!
  4. Okay so I went out to look and the amp power light is on! I never notice because it sits below the shelf that hold the control box, in fact I didn’t even realize I had an amp until I started dealing Crutchfield. So we have owned the coach for 8 years which means that has been on 24/7, I’m surprised it is still alive! I’m pretty mechanically inclined but know just the basics with electrical. I guess I’ll have to figure out how the PO wired it in and solve this issue. I’ll attach a couple pics, let me know what you think if you know. Thanks!!!!
  5. Thank you for the reply. I guess a filter is what I should have said. There is an amp n if I remove the speaker jacks to the amp the noise goes away. I don’t know if the amp is powered when the stereo is off but I’ll check it. I still use the dash switch to turn off the stereo like the old stereo did I used the ground the old stereo used. I tried another direct chassis ground and it didn’t make a difference Crutchfield suggested a filter on the power lines n c what happens But now I’m curious regarding the amp. I remember hearing a small buzzing nose in a speaker a few months ago but that went away.
  6. Good idea, I’ve been thinking of doing that anyhow. Thnx
  7. Good morning all, I installed a new dash stereo and it sounds great however, I began having static through a front speaker when the unit is off with the fluorescent lights on. If i turn of the light the static goes away. The stereo jacks has a ground loop isolator in line. I contacted Crutchfield and they suggested trying a direct ground, no change then suggested a power resistor or something similar on the battery line and if that didn't work to try on the power line. Anyone experience this and if so what did you do. I did notice one of the smaller fluorescent lights needs to be replaced, so I'm not certain if a ballast on the lights could cause this or what. Thnx
  8. Hello All. I’m installing my new stereo. I found a wire not being used in the dash. It’s marked 12v neg aux. I’m hoping this is a spare negative wire. I used it temporarily to test the stereo n it worked. Just want to confirm I can use this as a negative ground. The stereo says ground to chasis. thnx
  9. Thnx. I found the two fuses and actually got the stereo to work properly n play dvd’s. Problem now is, it keeps making a noise when shut off. It’s the memory portion. So I started wiring in the new stereo, should be done tomorrow.
  10. So I decided the buy the jvc, it was on sale for 469. While Procrastinating on looking further into the switch issue it went on a further mark down to 299. So I bought it. Install will need to wait just little while, I have a few other things going on. At least for now someone will know how to repair a stuck CD.
  11. You can call crutch field, give them the measurements of your opening and of the new stereo n they will probably have the insert u need Also you can just use the hot wire behind the dash if u already have another stereo, I’m just waiting to see if the switch affects the stereo play, probably not but mine plays the movies as well. Otherwise it’s a DVD player with a sound bar a new stereo, new speakers n probably an amp. Crutchfield has a pretty nice JVC on deal right now, wireless everything. I definitely need ceiling speakers though. Happy wife n u know the rest..
  12. Good morning all, I have the Magnadyne stereo I will be replacing I think. I have read all the earlier posts, I have a Question regarding the radio power switch AND a fix if you have a stuck cd. First stuck cd, had the stereo apart 4 times hoping to fix, didn’t have Anything to lose but to try n fix it. Problem: it would not eject the cd. First inside the stereo is the CD holder mechanism, below that is a rod from one side to the others, this rod has a rubber grip on it that grabs the cd and rolls it in n out. The steel eventually spins inside the rubber roller, fix remove the rod, pull off the rubber, add super glue n let it set. Put it back together and it worked just as it should. new problem, stereo switch on the dash it not lighting up, I replaced the switch and still nothing. Problem: not getting power to stereo now and the stereo itself is making a clicking noise, so it’s seems it’s getting power from somewhere . I removed the fuse to cut power. Question is, is there a relay somewhere that controls the dash power switch? 07 HR Endeavor. The old switch light was out as well so I figured I’d replace it. The stereo was working even with the light out on the old switch. Just odd the new switch light isn’t working as well. having issues with photo downloads, will as soon as I can
  13. Thank you I’ll just take it easy n let the knuckleheads pass me.
  14. Isn't Julian west of Ocotillo? i'm coming from AZ, which shows the 87 south form Blythe goes through Bawley I think,
  15. Has anyone driven Hwy 78 from Blythe to Ocotillo wells? Meeting the kids there. If you have driven it how is the road? I'd had to go all the way to the 86 and then south. Looks like the 78 is much quicker for me.
  16. Gen-turi much quieter and no fumes if your windows are open. how many hours on the gen
  17. Permatex stretch tape, repair any oil/water leak to get you home, set of A's , I have a 3" circular saw, permatex gasket maker, air line and fittings, tire plug and sealant, and WHISKEY just in case...
  18. Thank you guys for the replies. I’m going to replace everything. I don’t know, but I’ll find out if I can do away with the switch box as well. The dash radio plays movies through the surround system but that needs to go as well. we’ve had dish for years, I’ll call winegard as well. I’ll Get all my ducks in a row n go from there. I’ll search through a bunch of threads as well. thanks again and happy new year 🎉🎉🎉
  19. I just have a question. I have the same satellite on my 07, I have dish as well and I was getting it in the rig until a couple years ago. I’m was having it installed in my new home and got another box for the rig. I wasn’t getting any reception. I was told dish changed ( don’t remember) something and I was told if you system is older than 2014 the signal wouldn’t work any longer. anyone know anything about that? Was I dooped? We are looking to replace it now, but I have read some streaming comments. Do you stream on your phone to your tv ? Or do you have an internet in your rig that streams. Don’t want to waste the money and discover I could have done something much simpler. Just wondering what the options are. Thnx, Guido HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
  20. My isl400 has the filter. Sits on top of rocker cover black box.

  22. Thnx, no noise on the inverter and I have not r tried to swap the speaker. I can try this when we return, out of state for a few days without the rig where would an EMI filter be placed? I use a small Honda 2200 outside. But I had this several months ago plugged into shore power
