My grease caps on my steer axle are both cracked.  Anyone happen to have a parts number and a possible source for replacement?

Thank you

If you are referring to the ball joint covers. P/N 90.13127 from Energy Suspension. I had a rubber cup on mind and this on fit good.

I should have said the rubber cup on mind was torn. Grease caps fit the Zirk fittings which you don’t need.

If you are referring to the rubber plug that goes in the center of the Stemco covers in liquid oil filled hubs, I have found them available in most truck stops.  Or, here is a link on Amazon.

So this is a photo of what I am looking for.  Note the cracks.  I want to replace before it fails completely.

Thanks

From the picture it looks like there may be a part number on it but I can't read it.  Try doing a search for that PN.

Or take the cap off and go to a truck shop, they may have them or can order.

That is a Stemco 340-5096 used on grease packed front hubs.  Here is a Amazon listing.

If it were mine, I would replace it with a Stemco model 342, or 352 which are all metal rather than plastic versions.

https://www.amazon.com/Stemco-Grease-Hub-Cap/dp/B07QMTLCWX/ref=sr_1_5?crid=1V9Q8OGX2QX2M&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.P1YOgaL9J6obdTXxavBdiYTgi7crY5Sh6LaOmOoYDE3YA6NBVUGWXGG7SJ-tiFy7.mr5kqXOmFDao8fKFaiGXkLcVRF9x2aSQdWugMKiqDxI&dib_tag=se&keywords=stemco+352-4195&qid=1714847049&s=automotive&sprefix=stemco+352%2Cautomotive%2C261&sr=1-5

If you were ever going to convert from grease packed hubs to oil filled hubs, now would certainly be the time to do it.  The first time it was time to repack the front hubs, I converted to oil filled.  That way, I can just visually check the oil level and never again worry about dried out old grease needing replacement.  I realize it is much about personal preference, but I much prefer oil filled hubs.  There is a reason that the OTR trucks all use oil filled hubs.
