  1. No Winegard would not tell me what part could possibly be wrong with it at this point the only thing they’ll talk to me about is buying a new turret. The IDU functions as it always does powers up goes into search mode you can watch the satellite it points in the right direction it looks like it’s fine-tuning and nothing comes up on the display just says searching . Then after a while it will just stow itself. I’ve also tried it in manual search for each individual Satellite still does the same thing just says searching. Yesterday before I remove the turret from the RV I parked it in a parking lot with no obstruction and level. Also ran a new cable from the turret to the LNB as instructed by Winegard and still no single. I’m gonna bite the bullet and buy an Rf Mogul. Their technical support is awesome. They also sell parts for any component on their system. Winegard you call them they never answer the phone You leave a message sometimes they call you back that day sometimes it’s the next day call them on a Friday you won’t get a call back until Monday if they call you back. Maybe I can sell this thing to somebody for parts everything is in excellent condition looks brand new. I’m going to install the Rf Mogul myself so if anybody wants me to post how it goes let me know and I can post it.
  2. This is the email I received from Winegard. I wasn’t trying to get them to warrantee it just repair it at my Expense.I will never buy another Winegard product again.
  3. When I bought my RV from Transwest in Denver it had an old satellite dish on it that didn’t work. So they swapped it out for a traveler. I just assumed it was a new one. Come to find out it was a two year old unit off another RV they did not tell me this until yesterday. So the unit is five years and eight months old. I’m attaching a copy of the new form that they have now prices have gone up and anything over five years is not repairable.
  4. Well I did everything everybody said to do new calibration, turned it off overnight turned it back on the next day, took it off and inspected all the wiring everything is super clean no corrosion and No worn parts. So I emailed Winegard the repair request form and they informed me that it’s not eligible for repair because it’s over five years old. I bought it brand new in 2017. According to them the serial number is from 2015. I have a call into the dealer Transwest to see what’s going on haven’t heard back from them yet. Winegard did say they would sell me a new turret but I haven’t received a price yet. Thanks for everybody’s help Just received an email from Winegard $1030.57 plus tax plus shipping for a new turret
  5. My Winegard traveler will not connect to satellites. I have checked everything Winegard has told me to check an the bottom line is they want me to pack it up and ship it to them. At a minimum of $350 plus tax plus shipping. I’m debating whether it’s worth it or not. The following items are in perfect condition reflector ,feed arm sheath cable and LMB. I’ve inspected all the cables and connections there’s no corrosion anywhere. I connected a new cable from the LNB to the turret still no connection. It’s out of warranty and it’s about a year and a half away from being out of repair. Winegard will only repair items that are less than five years old. I talked to Joh at Rf Mogul. I had read somewhere that they sold parts for travelers. That was false but he went out of his way to find me somebody that could possibly fix it and sell me parts. If I decide to pitch this thing I’m definitely going to go with Rf Mogul. They sell parts for every component in their unit. Not like traveler they’ll only sell you an LMB and they discourage you from purchasing an LMB because they say one in 10,000 go bad. Not sure about all that. Just wondering if anybody else has had a similar situation that I am in thanks Kevin
  6. Paul, I just installed your cameras. Took 30 minutes did not have to remove the mirrors. I got in behind the generator pull them out a little bit to be able to hook on the new cameras and then pull the slack back into the generator bay. I didn’t attach any pictures because the cameras and mirrors are exactly like yours. Thanks Kevin
  7. Their brand new batteries bought them in June interstate AMG. I also rebuilt my big boy in June. I just ordered a load tester from Amazon should be here tomorrow.I will check the load on the batteries tomorrow. When I changed out my batteries I replaced two of the cables everything is in good shape. I have 8 batteries
  8. I just ordered a big boy isolator today should be here next week.I’ll let you know if it resolves the problem. I also have another three amp draw when the passenger side inverter is on it draws 3 Amps . And it doesn’t matter if the breakers are on or off still has a 3 AMP reading. I hope this isolator resolve that issue also. Thanks for the reply
  9. With fully charged house batteries and everything turned off including the breaker panel my house batteries are completely dead after 6 to 8 hours. When both inverters are in the off position breaker panel all breakers turned off all the lights in the coach water pump everything is turned off I still have a three amp draw.If I turn off the chassis batteries in the battery compartment the three amp draw goes away. According to the Aladdin system. When I turn the chassis batteries back on with the disconnect switch I still don’t have any amp draw. When I turn the key on and start the coach then turn it off the three amp draws comes back the only way to get rid of the three amp draw on the House batteries is to turn the chassis batteries off and then back on again. I’ve owned this rig for about 3 1/2 years and never had any problem with the refrigerator running all night long without running the generator now it only runs for about five hours and the batteries are drained completely
  10. Well I thought I had mine figured out. Today when I move the coach had to turn the wheel real sharp windshield wipers came on only one revolution though and they stopped without me having to push the off button. Better but still not right.
  11. Here’s three more pictures I took. I just started taking the thing apart I didn’t even realize it had an adjustment when taking it apart but when I put it back together I read the label on the top where it said to adjust it. I’m getting a front end alignment and I think I might have to adjust my steering wheel so if I have to pull the steering wheel off again I’ll give you more detailed instructions
  12. I had the same issue. In the beginning it was just when I would turn the wheel really hard to the left or right while backing in a campsite. Then it got really bad we’re even going down the road in a sharp turn in the road the windshield wipers would go on. Finally I had pull off the road pull the fuse on the wipers to get it to stop. I pulled my steering wheel out and looked for loose wires didn’t find anything obvious wrong with it but I did notice when I had the steering wheel off there was an adjustment for the clockspring readjusted the clock spring put everything back together and so far the windshield wipers seem to be working and not going off sporadically.
  13. Hello Steve, Mine was hooked up backwards for about a year and a half I really didn’t know that it wasn’t supposed to be that loud. This fall I was on a rally in Oregon and several other owners of Monaco‘s said my coach sounded like a freight train coming through the campground. I have a C 13 2006 Beaver patriot thunder. The diagram in my book that came with the coach is wrong I found out. It says I only have one hydraulic pump that runs the power steering and the fan motor. I have two hydraulic pumps one running the power steering and one running the fan they both work off the same reservoir . After doing all this research I was 90% confident that it was hooked up backwards. There’s one thing in the attachment that talks about a electronic override switch mine does not have that.
  14. I had the same issue when I had my radiator repaired when they reinstalled it they installed the thermal valve hydraulic lines backwards. All I did was reverse the two lines that go to the thermal valve and everything worked fine. If you need more information on how the thermal valve works I can forward that to you it’s definitely a directional valve.
  15. Two years ago our front ac went out. I ordered everything from Amazon prime. Unit, new thermostat, drain kit. Delivered in 5 days.
  16. Hello, I have a 2006 Beaver patriot thunder Monaco. I’m at an alignment shop and they need to adjust the casters does anybody know where they can find the shims for this Chassis it’s a roadmaster Chassis. I already called Beaver Coach Sales and Ben Oregon and they did not have them. Thanks Kevin
  17. I had a hydraulic cooler leak fluid all over my radiator. A mechanic friend of mine suggested using Muscle Magic. Said they use it all the time in his shop.I sprayed it on waited five minutes and rinse it off with a power washer. He just warned me not to get it on to any aluminum products it will dull the finish.
