  1. If you roof might you could run down the refer vent like so many do for solar applications.
  2. I think I’ll end up with a hard mount like yours. The in motion is coming. So got the Dish up here and working. Waiting on some clamps to get it mated to the ladder.
  3. Well considering it cost Elon $1500 to make the set up and sold it for $500 at the start, I figured he’d find a way to recoup some cash.
  4. Give him an account if he wants to learn. Heck he could probably teach me a lot on the electronic side. If he’s smart with the wiring, solar, etc, I’m all ears.
  5. LOL When the one guy said to the effect we were “smart” I knew something was off 😂 Ooo I don’t know. Yes I can on the original. I guess I’ll see when I open the new box
  6. Yeah their router will go through a wall or 2. There is an cat Jack out their router for hardwired if you want. I added a net gear router and now have all 2 ac in WiFi. The pole mount didn’t make it, so have to postpone the install. Don’t know when I can get back up to the coach
  7. Here’s the low down from Starlink https://www.starlink.com/rv
  8. Well, in a nut shell, it’s satellite internet service, fast, and covers a good part of the globe, and now is mobile. $600 for equipment, you own it. It’s $135 a month, but you can suspend/renew anytime with no penalties or turn on/off fees. You can stream TV, surf net, make video calls or zoom meetings. We have Discovery * steaming (no commercials). Also allows us to access our iTunes purchased movies and watch anytime. Just bought Magnum PI episodes If you have iOS (apple) you can FaceTime, WiFi call and iMessage, all without cell service hope that helps
  9. We travel where there is no Cell service. Right now, where our Coach is parked, there is no Verizon, ATT, T-mobile, or US Cell, data. I’ve tried them all, the coverage maps are full of alternative facts.
  10. All good. I’m generalizing. I get where your coming from. I’ve left 2 forums that I was heavy in. 1 got nasty and the other allowed it to get political. Both lost their purpose, and thus I left. Weird thing. Off subject. They were both bought out by conglomerates. They lost the human touch so to speak. I don’t see that happening here, our audience is small. Anyway, I appreciate your help Van. I know your heart is in right place, and know that you deal with a lot.
  11. Nice set up! I will do something similar Hear is an average speed for our home base Starlink. Will be curious to compare to the summer location where the MH is set up.
  12. Not yet “officially” https://www.pcmag.com/news/dish-demands-spacex-deactivate-starlink-dishes-used-on-moving-boats-and
  13. I’ll unbox, install, and show the speeds. I’m going to do a temp location for the router. Plans are to totally redo my TV cabinet, so I don’t want to permanently mount anything yet.
  14. Awesome! Thanks for the post. I’m going with a pole mount. I have one here at home and it works great. I have the older round dish. I’ll be curious about the square dish and it’s size.
  15. No worries. I can make things more complicated than they need to be. We are a bit remote, Centruy link offered us 1 MBPS for the low rate of $75 a month. We were like wow, pass
  16. Home is also our Business at the moment. I need internet here for access for clients to our dog park, and cameras, sprinklers, etc. It has to stay here
  17. I ordered the new Starlink RV. I’ll get it Thursday and get it installed I think on Friday. I ordered the pole mount, and will attach it to the ladder. Will post pics We have Starlink at home, and love it.
  18. Yeah I’d have to look at pics to remember how I ran it. Was over a year ago and have since moved my mind into other projects. I know I intercepted the fuel line right after primary filter and ran it to the new FASS pump. Then a new hose over. I’ll try and dig it up here in a bit
  19. No, I bought threaded caps and plugs and hosing to bypass the lift pump. I installed my kit right next to the filter in the side compartment, behind the condenser unit. That way the hoses were easy to cap of and run to the lift pump. I don’t have my coach with me, I’ll see if I can dig up pics of my install
  20. Yeah over my head, hence the kit purchase. It was all set up to the proper pressure as well. I didn’t have to think much, which tends to be a good thing at times 😜
  21. You would still need to trick the CPU into thinking the lift pump is present and still active.
  22. Easy to install. Didn’t have to run a return line. It was one of the first mods I did. Took all of 2 hours
  23. I did what you are talking about. I didn’t see the need for extra filtration. I bought this kit because it was ready to go, even had the wiring to fool the computer https://www.ultrarvproducts.com/FASS-Fuel-Systems/UP95G-Heavy-Duty-Lift-Pump-for-Cummins-ISC-ISL-CAPS-Fuel-System
  24. It might be better served if you reach out to those in a private message, express your concerns in a loving, kind way. If I have offended you, repeatedly in my posts, I would appreciate a kind word and a nudge in the right direction. I think the last few years of “isolation” has not helped any of us to talk, let alone empathize with anyone. Social media, and news only strengthens us that our way of thinking is the best. All we hear is “we are right” if we don’t get out of our circle of influence. Again, I’m a big boy, I love this forum, so anyone is free to reach out and let me know how they feel. Thanks Van
