    New toad-Jeep JKU

LOL, wife was not a fan. But she never has changed a tire.
  2. Glad you caught a break in the engine. The dash, well you know how much is in there. Have you turned the key to see what lights up?
  3. Ok these are the older style of XL tomcat traps. They look a little different now. Tomcat Secure-Kill Rat Trap, 1 Trap https://a.co/d/dxL61bU

    New toad-Jeep JKU

Worked a bit on the Jeep: added a Jack
  5. Reminiscence away I started the thread. And it was earlier, 1980. So I was even younger 😂 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_St._Helens
  6. Yeah TX is a long, long ways. I would love to travel down more, your neck of the country, but not close enough to retirement to do so. Each state has its own beauty for sure. We are still “semi” active volcano wise. Here in Central Oregon, we are Cinder cones as far as the eye can see in any direction. South Sister Mt is monitored for seismic, it has a dome that grows some. Paulina Peak is explored for geothermal energy. I think I have a Paulina Peak Pic, from Paulina Lake the pic in the above response is Diamond Peak, as seen from Crescent Lake
  7. Wow! They are lucky. Spirit Lake fishing is awesome again I hear, but need a permit to get in. I was 13 at the time. We had ash fall in town from the eruption, not much. Wife had family in Sliver Lake Wa, and were shoveling ash like snow.
  8. Not many people would know what the cooler was, it’s a pretty local thing here in PNW. And thanks on pics. I just snap what I think is pretty to me. Fish, cars, landscapes, whatever. Phone makes me look better than I am. Here’s the wife and pups while hiking Waldo lake before the fires this year.
  9. The cover on the drivers mirror is a “katch Kooler”. It’s a fishing bag that we Kokanee fishermen use to keep our fish cool while fishing
  10. Got a pic snapped. This coach might be smaller
  11. Ok, then snap a pic. When I saw it, I knew I’d seen a pic before. I guess not too many 94 still on the road.
  12. So hanging out in the RV park and up rolls a what looks like the Coach in the Banner. Not sure if its the same, or where Bill's coach even is. I'll get a pic tomorrow
  13. YouTube “Endless RV” they are sponsored by NSA and have reviews
  14. Getting off topic, but it’s time for a story to keep peace. I worked on a crusher when I was younger, so 22 or so years ago. I watched a kid get on top of a VSI that was clogged on top with asphalt. He had a big breaker bar, chisel on one end the pointed on other. The asphalt broke, he fell into the VSI while it was running, he some how caught himself on the edge and didn’t go into it. But the bar when and impaled his leg. I’ve never seen a boss shut down a site so fast and get him out of there and we were gone, shut down for a week. They were trying to lock everything down for fear of MSHA. We had a look out at the front, always, he’d radio and we’d just shut it all off and walk away. I’ve dealt with OSHA, and they are just picked on in high school kids getting revenge. MSHA is out for blood.
  15. Uggg MSHA, they make OSHA look like a JV team No offense, but I would have agreed with that 21 years ago as well.
  16. Yeah my RVI plugs in. It runs off battery to keep the compressor running. I pretty sure (due to experience, 😂) that the outer IWE are a vacuum on to disengage. I guess my thoughts are if the truck were to lose voltage, the vacuum would cease and the IWE would engage. Not end of the world, but I’ve detonated a few now wheeling. I carry a spare as they can be hard to get along with the splitter valve that goes out all the time. We are moving on to a used Jeep JKU for flat tow. Shift Park to neutral, transfer case to neutral, trans back to park, walk away. The flat tow sequence on our Rap is down right both frustrating and nerve wracking at times LOL. Always stoping to open the door to make sure it dings and the message center still says flat tow. Glad to another Ford guy on! Well Fords and now a Jeep!
  17. Bro, its just the facts. If we all choose which laws we will and won’t follow, where does it leave us? I agree some some laws are garbage, but I guess we each have to live with choices.

  19. Good point. I’ve seen some so out of whack I don’t know how they even make turns
  20. Also, they claimed their toad braking failed from a dead battery. Need to get a wire and a charger on there. I installed a charger for fear of the F-150s stupid flat tow mode. I was fearful that the trans/transfer case/hubs would re-engage if they lost power, thus destroying something and be out of pocket on my end. I was in the camp, why need brakes? But everyone here was kind enough to walk me through it

  23. Ok sorry, went digital with iTunes years ago and the deck is apple car play, so everything plays through all the speakers.
  24. I would just get a new deck. Did my own. Added the backup camera to it as well because I had the old B/W that couldn’t show anything here’s a link
