  1. Very nice! Yeah I don’t have solar, so I have a bit more room (and 2’ with an extra bay it looks like) Yeah the MP2 can lay flat. Also my transfer switch is on the drivers side in the bay with the shore power. That bay is wide open for future use. I see you added another set of breakers (2-30amp with panel) is this a safety thing? Or did you go the sub panel route? I have a few questions as it’s just my interest. I’ve jumped into this some, but my needs are not off grid at this time (hence no solar) Also, do you have a cerbo? Just picked one up to install. and yes, I bought the hydraulic crimper and ratchet one.
  2. I swapped out my locations for the chassis batteries. Moved them where the old inverter was and moved the inverter and DC-Dc in the bay I look at all the electronics that are already in the bay with the batteries and would think the same as you. The warning is a covering liability for Victron.
  3. Awesome! Looks familiar 😂😂😂 BTW, our big dog calls our coach (we call her Pearl) ”The rolling breadbox of death”
  4. My wife and I joked that the tow company got 2 new trucks after ours was towed. I laughed and said I didn’t even get a thank you card. I wish I could say I’m kidding but I’m not. What they told me they needed to do and what they did were 2 different things. Took more trucks, took more crew, ended up using their hazmat gear yada yada yada I told the insurance company to tell the tow company to keep the truck, it was totaled. But they wouldn’t listen.
  5. Not with a coach, but with my truck. They aim high to negotiate with insurance on the tow. And they hold the coach hostage with a daily “storage fee”. Where I’m at they had to pass a law that made the cops use a next in line system. It’s seems (not proven) that at the time a certain tow company was getting all the call from a local law…….makes you wonder.
  6. What’s the plan? Lots of Bass to catch?
  7. Sun was out, roads were clear, good excuse to go grab some propane
  8. Just how much money does the RV site take in? A few clicks here and there going to put a dent in the bottom line? Veering off…………………………
  9. I was leaning Basement as well, based on the thickness in the pics.
  10. Looking at it I’m with you, can’t picture where it’s at on the Coach. The “torn” part just looks so thin to be a section of the main channel frame. I can’t imagine a frame tearing like that. We’ve had fully loaded dump trucks that the bed fell over, and the cab of the truck stayed level, if you can picture a frame twisting 90 degrees. Nothing torn or ripped. The frame had a slight twist to it when we got it upright. Anyway, a better perspective with pics would be helpful. And I laughing at the suggestion of taking Ike whole house off and putting a new frame under it. That’s called “totaled” in the insurance world
  11. Sorry I have the R8 suspension and not the R4. The sway bars look and install much like an auto set up.
  12. Out of curiosity, do you have pics? It Would be nice to compare and see what it looks like on our coaches. Might give you an idea of the solution if we take pics, or at least get us under our coaches to make sure we don’t have an issue.
  13. I goofed, I saw sway bar, and thought he meant trailing arm. I think trailing arm on the R4 for some reason. Sorry guys. I have the source sway bars on my coach. They are a nice product.
  14. Yeah, if he is trying to get the alarm to stop, I raised my door to get mine to stop. I removed both doors, including brackets. I went to the hardware store and bought some very small nylon washers. I put them on the brackets where the pin goes in. This raised the door enough to shut (click) and thus the alarm stopped. Not sure if that’s what everyone is after, but it’s how I got the alarm to stop beeping all the time.
  15. Lift up? I had to adjust mine to keep the beeper from going off all the time
  16. So for comparison, we full time RV right now while working on other projects. I don’t have a watt meter, but you’ll get the gist Our main living is a 43’ 5ver. We run the 2 electric fireplaces at night abs a small electric heater in it. Electric on the water heater and Res fridge. Don’t touch the propane for heating, just cooking. Have Starlink on 24/7. Some battery chargers and gate controllers, odd and ends. The dip is winterized, but has a small electric heater to take the edge off. Use it as a man cave/office so computer workstations are in it. Another trailer is winterized and has a small heater as well. Dec power bill was $345
  17. I’ve seen this 2 ways: 1) we do this when visiting friends. The have just a regular 110 Outlet. No big as we installed a Victron Multiplus that can pull from batteries to help us run the microwave etc 2) The RV park we leave our coach at in the summer tells us, and we’ve seen it, EV cars come in late night and plug into a site after hours and charge. They try and get up early and get out, or claim dumb that they didn’t know it wasn’t “legal”. The resort at the lake has random cars that will show up and have extension cords ran to a cabin, they’re not guests. People will just plug in, walk down to the beach and play all day, while stealing Electricity
  18. Leaving Monaco, to get a newer coach?
  19. In bathroom yes my other one is under dining table. I assume each coach is a little different
  20. GFCI its self could be bad. Have had to replace them in the past for similar problems
