  1. They are PITA’s for sure I’ve done really good with the foam, none are “in” living areas of the Coach now. We are trying out the whole rope light around our toy hauler now and so far so good. We don’t get out to it but once a week and nothing. I have traps set now, up in the attic and we will see.
  2. Wife found some extremely old poo and now we are in DEFCON 4 I thought I heard something, so started pounding on the ceiling. I get this weird castanet noise. It’s between 2 trusses, on the other side of the ducting. Pulled a speaker out and fished a camera in, oh boy. Found an old stash of seeds. So now I have a new “access” hole and rigging different hose configurations to get the dancing seeds out and a trap up. The whole park we stayed at a few years ago surrounded a woman who was dropping bird seed everywhere, thinking she was Snow White and the mice were in most rv because. Here’s to getting them out. I have a big punch list already on the coach and this wasn’t on it Here’s my set up and in case you want to know what the trusses look like. And some seeds
  3. I’d venture to say there is not a hole under then. There wasn’t with the big dome sat.
  4. The big dome? Mine is gone, they just left the mounts there so there were no holes to get leaks. On the traveler. My wires do not go straight down, they go out. I doubt there is a hole under mine. Where are your wires? They make a base plate to go on to help mount the traveler. If you don’t already have it, you could use it to cover over any ring you find
  5. Extremely sorry. That is a long time do have a pup in the family. You will be lost for quite some time. Hoping you can remember all the great memories she gave you to keep you going.
  6. If it’s out of warranty what does it matter? Unless you’re talking super high dollar Newell or Prevost, most of the RVs today share so many of the components. A lot of repairs are appliances, seals/damage, slides, etc. These are all shared components between manufacturers.
  7. Yes, went with a fairly inexpensive unit, a Boss. I removed my old BW camera screen as well. The Boss has av inputs, so the camera is on its screen full time along with apple car play. It has 2 usb plugs, one rubs the CarPlay and the other charges a iPad mini I use for navigation It was a fairly easy install I had a piece of plastic cut to go over the whole set up. I didn’t have it hydro dipped to match the carbon fiber look of the rest of the dash, but I think I looks pretty good. If you want pics I can dig them up
  8. So a local RV sales service (Beaver Coach) hires off the street guys and trains them, and gives them tools. So getting PAID to learn. If he wants to work for someone, and sign some sort of agreement on length of time, I’d ask service shops if they’d take him on. Sounds like they would jump at the chance to have him on their team given the experience he already has. And a bonus, he’s in generation that knows how to work let alone just show up for work 😂
  9. It is probably 1 of 2 fuel filters. And yes is a water separator as well. I’m not familiar with your coach setup, I cannot understand why the filter sets so low unless an extension has been added to it somewhere in the line so the previous owner didn’t have to reach up in the frame rail to drain it.
  10. Agree, I had to change, a lot of my equipment and wiring. New Multiplus 2, DC/DC charger, and because I had the old Xantrex mod sine inverter, that ran 2 circuits, I had to rewire those so all circuits were in the electrical panel. Lost the block heater circuit to make it all work. I posted on my build, I can link if needed
  11. I run the Chins. I have 2 standard 200ah in my boat (24v wired together) and 1 of their 200ah “smart battery” in the Coach (battery has internal heater) been great batteries so far
  12. Yeah their Yelp listing has the park posting that it’s temp for renovations https://m.yelp.com/biz/lazydays-rv-resort-seffner
  13. Your picture looks like for a 5.9 Cummins I believe my data plate on our 8.3 was on the front cover top near where the oil hose attached. To looking at engine from rear of coach, it’s top right
  14. Yes, you are correct, but none of us have seen anything like the last 2 years. Here is a slight taste of what some are seeing. Personally my wife and I couldn’t believe what we saw when going through rvs last few shows https://youtu.be/zcZVFrAduEc
  15. I’d throw in saturation. How many can you sell before those who want an RV have one? All those who ran to get an RV in the last two years now have to go back to work or send kids back to school, so the reality of an RV payment, or paying for storage will get old fast. Watch the used market become filled with units, that are $10,000s off the price of new. And you are all right, seasoned RV will not buy these knowing full well quality was down and inferior parts were used in construction. The RV industry is set for a big retraction, along with consolidation and or bankruptcy for some dealers and manufacturers.
  16. Uggg, super sorry! Been the that ramp many times. Site 6 on the island is even worse. I’ll be in Havasu Monday! Looking forward to the heat. Did you fish?
  17. If you get answers, I’m listening. Mine doesn’t read right. I never let it get below half. It takes forever to get to half and goes fast after half.
  18. Call me stupid, 5 second video with no sound is all that tells me. zoomed in says absorption? Flashing lights mean a fault code is logged?
  19. Ok, I just cut back the foil where it had came up. I then taped off the areas and went right over the tape with proflex
  20. Good eve! Not sure I’m following you on the floor? The slide out is taller than the main floor? Also, do you have aluminum roof with tail down the middle and over the front and rear caps?
  21. Yeah not sure they could hold down the button that long LOL The rats chew all wire. I need to redo my Starlink wire as they got in the shed and ate it. They are relentless. We did get some cats in, they just showed up. The rats/mice have gone down substantially
  22. Yeah I switched my inverter to a Multiplus 2, but do not have AGS. I don’t believe my old xantrax had it either. But likewise, the connector was pristine inside. Where I live, I fear pack rats (wood rats)
