  1. Hey you have an 08, talk to me about your engine. Emissions?
  2. The day I started to bring it home, I was blown off the road 2 times. I thought I’d broke something. We took a trip down Utah into AZ to see the big parks and she was a bit squirmy, she hasn’t felt safe in it. It doesn’t bother me Mughal it’s way better now. We do look forward to a larger tag coach in the next year.
  3. Thanks both, I have Front bilsteins, front and rear watts, rear cross bars, and front source sway bar. I’m also a 34’ coach. These baffles are from Henderson’s
  4. Ok I’ll look. I’m not up on my wiring knowledge. The 1157 socket these lights take has 3 wires. You mention 4?
  5. By now most know the weight issues, or lack of weight on the front axle. I already have the front bags down a 1/2” from recommended height in the front and 1/2” up in the rear. Coming back from the coast I still had bouncing (porpoising), several bobs up and down. I picked these up after reading reviews on irv and other places. We are off to AZ in a few weeks and will see how it rolls. DW is determined to “like” the coach so I need to get her off calling it the “Rolling Breadbox of Death”
  6. Rain finally stopped so jumped back into the taillights. Now Monaco split the turn and brakes into 2 circuits as they had an amber for turn and red for brake. Is there anyway to put them back together so both lights will light for brakes and turns?
  7. So, as much as I can tell, from reading, it’s pretty good. It does regen automatically every 300 miles. The filters are in an attached box, and need service (cleaned out) regularly. I’m not sure how easy it is to get to the box. Everything can be more difficult on a coach we know because there is no hood to tilt up There are o-rings on the cylinder sleeves that get hard/rot and will leak. This I would be concerned about as coaches sit, or have lower miles and I would think the o-rings getting brittle would be a great issue. There are “work arounds” or in the diesel world we can get them on a “weight loss program” But I cannot find prices for them, most of all of these kits come from Canada anymore as the US has had major enforcement.
  8. Thankfully this is a brand new unit. New steps, new gearbox and new motor.
  9. Thanks Tom, now I’m feeling really good that I changed them out. At 21 yrs old, the original ones had to be on their last legs. Here’s to 20 more years for us and a new owner down the road
  10. After looking at this coach, they had a Country Coach Allure. I’ve been wanting to see one in person. The Allure is middle of the road. While the build quality I’m sure is good, it wasn’t as fancy as my wife wants. So the good news, wife is sold on a Beaver or Signature! Yeah I don’t have to find a new family (Boo for some I guess) Anyway, a little more researching on the above Beaver, it’s not a Series 60c but a DD15. So it has EGR and DPF (no DEF) Detroit went all in on a new engine for I replace the Series 60 when the emissions came out instead of trying and I scab on SCR systems. This is a no go for me. The hunt will be for an 05/06 coach when time is right.
  11. To me that’s the beauty here. Heck we can pretty much find the answers to most things if we google enough. But really, I’d rather go through an issue/problem with buddies. When you go through something together, you not only get someone else’s perspective, you get to know their life and how they came to be here. Each of us had a fascinating life story, we are all full of wisdom (some more than others) and we need each other. If I’ve learned anything the last few years, it’s to sit and listen. Everyone has a story, everyone needs to tell it, but is anyone willing to listen? I guarantee we’d all be better off if we listened to each other more and not to the static that’s being pumped out everyday.
  12. It’s been a big gripe of my wife, the step out the dip. We had just a single step. I really didn’t know how bad it was till this last year. So I started to hunt down what to do. Thought I’d just pick up a new Kwikee two step and buy the gearbox for the longer throw, but found the whole thing, new but opened box on EBay for about $100 off retail. Here’s what I started with No wonder it was open box, smashed plug, but it’s the side I don’t need No paint from factory So rattled some paint and anti-seize Ready to go up Out In
  13. Read Some of Jocko’s stuff on leadership. It’s amazing.
  14. If you want to drop it, that’s ok. I’m just trying to figure out if you are Lobbying for more rules, tighter grip on conversations, whatever. As far as new people, give them the benefit of the doubt. We are all a family here. People will figure out who is the crazy uncle, the forgetful grandfather, the know it all brother in law or the red headed step child. I love it here, just the way it is. Do some irritate me, oh yeah, but they might have the answer on my next problem. I’m always impressed just how willing everyone is here to help, it’s such a relief compared to other forums. Anyway, not my intent to jolt anyone, I’m just not a big rule guy. Show kindness, be humble, be forgiving, do the right thing, and above all, laugh, especially at yourself.
  15. I didn’t say you yourself have a problem. Your statement implies that ALL of us have some sort of responsibility that you see we are lacking in or need to uphold. What is the proper post length? What is an assumption? What is a speculation? What is an opinion?
  16. So what is the problem that you are seeing?
  17. Yeah a little more than we want to spend as well. We’ve bought from them in the past and they have always taken less than what they advertise. These are most likely consignments
  18. While I love those, they made a lot of noise. Had a dump truck ran for years with one, a 1978 GMC General 8V92 with 13 spd. Only thing it couldn’t out run was the gallon of oil I kept on the floor
  19. Not buying this one. But definitely will be looking for a Detroit when I’m ready
  20. Ran over to go through a few coaches for a feel. This one stood out. It must have been garaged, paint was pristine. There were only 2 small areas inside that the Finish had clouded Best thing, 515hp series 60 https://www.beavercoachsales.com/Pre-owned-Inventory-2007-BEAVER-MOTORHOME-Motorhome-MARQUIS-13970052
  21. Anyway, these SAE/DOT stamped tail lights are of higher quality than the others I previously purchased, as the pictures depicted.
  22. Here’s the difference between a $100 pair of Lights and a $200 pair And DOT number on the expensive set
