  1. Brad did you spray down with a solution and check for bubbles or just look for pressure drop?
  2. How did you devise a air chuck that didn’t leak? I could see something like this working for closing it off. I have mine off waiting to be replaced but I’m thinking about verifying how bad it is. I can probably come up with something.
  3. Look up how to or take it to a Diesel Truck shop and have it tested for leaks being you have it out. If it’s Original to the coach which it probably is there’s a chance it may be leaking some. My understanding is some is acceptable, how much I don’t know. Mine is out now and needs replacing I was told because it is leaking. It was very clean.
  4. Yep Jim, I talked to him this morning and it obvious they know what their doing. Thanks for the input.
  5. Except as we all know most auto places don’t have the room or want to mess with RV’s. The OP will know where Register RV in Brooksville is at being he lives in Inverness. Haven’t heard from him however MIA.
  6. CGJ is a definite no thanks. Source Eng claims their builder JB Radiator Specialties was the OE builder for Monaco and many other RV. Radiator Supply House maybe thanks for the info.
  7. Anyone with any radiator purchase experience from Source Engineering? JB Radiator Specialties
  8. I would call Register RV Center in Brooksville look them up. I’ve been there just to look around but they would be capable and is close to you. Check their website.
  9. Glad you got welded up sure looks like it should be good. Will you be able see if it cracks in time with the undercoating on it?
  10. I thought he had but I didn’t know about you. His was much worst for sure. I’m waiting to hear his mileage.
  11. Jim or Richard did either one of you tow a large trailer often? How many miles was on your rigs when you discovered the cracks?
  12. Tape won’t hold the weight of rain when the slide is out. If it was in the middle of the fabric like a small tear maybe.
  13. Curious what are you calling high temps?
  14. Just guessing without pictures but if this coach is recently new to you does it look like something fell up against it while traveling. You can add photos very easily from your phone.
  15. This is mine on a 2002 Windsor 40 8 bag chassis.
  16. You might check this video out. He has a lot of good videos mostly on Cat engines but has many that is just diesel specific in understanding a lot of things.
  17. Good product page. I choose the Compleat OAT it was readily available at a local Peterbilt dealer in the 50/50 formulation. $16.67 gal
  18. Look at some Al transition pcs used in flooring, carpet or similar. Maybe a pc of Schluter for tile. Trim to fit.
  19. When we are out in the mh I will blow off water on and around the slides and anywhere water will sit with a cordless blower. I will wipe down those areas with a dry towel too. Call me anal yes. Look for places that water can get into as others have said while drying the coach. I will do this while in storage also on occasions.
  20. That’s an example for me to bring this up. A lot of the service centers get offended by Us motorhome owners when we want to ask questions and verify what they are doing. Most of us are hands on but we want to be confident in what’s being done when we give up control to someone else. To me this is why many places just say they don’t work on motorhomes because they don’t want to be bothered with us. They typically don’t have the customer service personality for it. It pisses me off when you might be spending multiples of thousand dollars and don’t get the customer service you might reasonably expect. They are so use to their “bread and butter” Fleet customers. Not saying they are all this way but you have to be prepared to be flexible for sure.
  21. Jason pull a sample of your Tran fluid out of the dip stick tube and take a look at it on pc of white paper. If you can pull a few ounces out with a pump and send it in for testing looking for coolant?
  22. Thanks Jeff for that link, I have not seen that particular flyer I’ll call it. I think they have many or they update and change their flyers. It seems they all call out they are low on this, and have none of that most of us don’t understand or know what we require or need. Radiator material make up and engine age play a role. Reverse engineering on some new coolants help make the choice easier I guess. ES Compleat OAT seems to be the go to if unsure. Some European cars require different formulas as shown. What was surprising to me is some may not be a fill and forget coolant that’s somewhat implied with their mileage statements. Still require occasional testing and maybe SCA’s at least for the Compleat Hybrid product that is stated on the product paper. This is just my take away and should be confirmed before buying. 🤷
  23. There are 3 ES Compleat products. •ES Compleat OAT (Organic Acid Technology) •ES Compleat NOAT (Nitrited Organic Technology) •ES Compleat EG (the Blue stuff) I think they put the EG after all of them sometimes for Ethanol Glycol And I think two others in FG lineup. It is all very confusing and it doesn’t help when they all say similar things. It also appears after careful searching you can get them all in diluted formulations which took me awhile to find. I think for most of us it would be the ES Compleat OAT or the ES Compleat EG. I attached a video and a link for reading that might help. Listen very close. https://www.fleetequipmentmag.com/heavy-duty-truck-required-coolant-engine-help/ It also appears at least on the ES Compleat EG (blue stuff) and possibly on all of them that testing might still be recommended and maybe SCA’s may be needed? I saw that on the data sheet for the Compleat EG
