Please let us all know what the issues are once it’s resolved. This is a good document to have with you, even if you are not comfortable working on the unit, assuming you don’t have it. https://library.aquahot.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/AHE-100-02S-Service-Manual-Rev.-B-9-27-2011.pdf

Hey Scott, What mounting bracket did you use to mount this unit in your dash? I’m presuming your dash is a flat panel. Thank you!

torque wrench recommendation
Jdw12345 replied to joefromperry's topic in Chassis, Handling, Tires & Brakes
No I don’t believe so, I don’t think it will give you the proper torque you want. If you’re going to buy an electric impact, Milwaukee (and other brands) make a 1” electric impact, I think I would lean that way if you want to buy tools. It’s expensive to tool up to do tires and wheels but if you’re going to do the work yourself buy once cry once, jmo! -
torque wrench recommendation
Jdw12345 replied to joefromperry's topic in Chassis, Handling, Tires & Brakes
It might be hard to find a torque stick with 450 foot pounds of torque in a 1/2” drive, you might end up getting a 3/4” impact to do the job. I use a 3/4” air impact and a 4’ long torque wrench on my wheels. -
Wabco/Meritor Air Dryer Purge Valve Rebuild
Jdw12345 replied to zmotorsports's topic in Chassis, Handling, Tires & Brakes
Nice work Mike, glad to see you use Wabco/Meritor genuine parts. I was also in the trucking business for all my life, when it comes to the air dryer I use only genuine parts. After purchasing our coach 2 1/2 years ago servicing the air dryer was one of the first things I serviced. For those looking to service there air dryer here’s a link that you might want, https://www.wabco-customercentre.com/catalog/docs/mm34_web.pdf -
Operating the Hydraulic Slide in Cold Weather
Jdw12345 replied to Bill C's topic in Body, Awning, Roof, Slides, & Steps
If you decide to service the system at some point, it’s a good time to change the system fluid, if you do this consider going to TranSynd 668, same fluid as you might/should have in the transmission and reduces the number of fluids that you need to carry in your vehicle. Jmo. -

Windshields Moving When Going Over Uneven Surfaces
Jdw12345 replied to Dragracer's topic in General Motorhome Discussion
To my understanding these are considered a “floating windshield” and are designed to do this, if they didn’t they would break. Just think what the rest of the coach is doing? I try hard not to put our coach into a twisting situation as much as possible. Jmo. -
the magnet and the retractable stair
Jdw12345 replied to terboggs's topic in Body, Awning, Roof, Slides, & Steps
You can test the magnetic by opening the door with the engine running, if you have a magnetic put it up to the face of the magnet in the door jam, that would simulate the door being closed, the steps should retract, put the magnet back to the receiver in the door jam and the steps should deploy. There’s two magnet receivers on my door jam, one for the lights on the handles and one to command the steps to deploy.. Hopefully this helps. https://www.amazon.com/Kwikee-375385-Switch-Electronic-Step/dp/B003VASLM0/ref=asc_df_B003VASLM0/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312712394155&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=16979630359631263285&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9019490&hvtargid=pla-599105870844&psc=1&mcid=1751adf25ac039a9aed34a07b040f581&gclid=CjwKCAiApaarBhB7EiwAYiMwqtHQ7GR_GY0-VlncBCTZVW33HdB_JIYARObEti4CCqW47ivNKSrtmhoCE2YQAvD_BwE -

You might be able to get swimming pool vacuum hose at Lowe’s. -
Fwiw, It is not necessarily to purchase that many test strips at a time, https://www.amazon.com/Fleetguard-Coolant-Analysis-Test-CC2602A/dp/B002TQD2KI/ref=pd_lpo_sccl_1/141-3416230-6631445?pd_rd_w=lPhon&content-id=amzn1.sym.116f529c-aa4d-4763-b2b6-4d614ec7dc00&pf_rd_p=116f529c-aa4d-4763-b2b6-4d614ec7dc00&pf_rd_r=NM3TB85S5QE2D326YTEV&pd_rd_wg=Y6Iti&pd_rd_r=29b29d7a-872f-4df0-afb0-a1a4703d5247&pd_rd_i=B002TQD2KI&psc=1

Quotes from Fleetguard, With proper maintenance, Fleetguard ES Compleat™ coolant can last for the major overhaul life of your engine. However, when poor quality make-up water is added to the system or when minimum coolant maintenance is not observed, pH levels can rise or fall to dangerous levels and contaminants (Sulfate and Chloride) can rise to unacceptable levels. When this occurs, coolants must be drained and replaced immediately. Use Fleetguard's revolutionary Quik-Chek™ Coolant Quality Test Strips to determine the quality of their coolants. In a matter of minutes the pH, Sulfate and Chloride levels in a coolant can be determined. If results fall within acceptable limits, the coolant can be used until the next service interval with confidence. The Quik-Chek™Coolant Quality Test Strips are available in bottles of 10 test strips.

Just make sure that whatever coolant you use it’s compatible with ALL the components in your cooling system, so that includes, up front heat exchangers, transmission cooler’s, Aqua Hot systems, etc etc……. And above all make sure you get ALL of the old coolant out of the system, some coolants are not compatible with other coolant’s and can turn into a jelly like mess in a cooling system. You don’t have to necessarily add SCA’s but the coolant should be checked with test strips.

Glad to see you have joined us Mike! You’re a great asset to Monaco owners! -
I too wash ours myself and use Mist n Shine with some lint free towels from CostCo, I use it on the windshield and all the glass, when we hit rain we don’t have to use the wipes much, they also have a Bug Release that i spray on before washing, seems to help.

I might not be understanding this, I just looked at the specs on this pump, it doesn’t look like the Santi-con pump/ grinder I have https://www.pumpagents.com/pdf/ShurfloPumps/3200-001.pdf

On our 05, the entry door awning controls are over the head of the passenger, the controls for the big awning are on a remote. Ours is a December 04 build date. These things are snowflakes!

I’ve been around the trucking industry since about 1980, seems to me I remember talking with someone back in the late 80’s or early 90’s that tried some Accuride wheels and had some issues, don’t remember all the details now, just remember that I always leaned towards Alcoa wheels on my trucks, I was surprised to see Accuride wheels on Monaco coaches when I started my research prior to our purchase. Times change and so do products. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accuride_Corporation#:~:text=Accuride was founded in 1986,the direction of Mitt Romney.

2006 Dynasty - Side Radiator hose
Jdw12345 replied to Newcsn's topic in Engine, Transmission, Engine Cooling, & Hydraulics
I’m looking at replacing my coolant in my coach and replacing coolant hoses, I’ve already replaced the hoses to the surge tank from the engine as they were hard and timed out, I chose to use silicone hoses, is there any reason you didn’t go with silicone hoses instead of the rubber hose? .
