  1. Thank you, Tom. Yes. The shades and sun screens are on two multiplex switches. It is always confusing to me to figure out how to trace things back. I have looked at and used Detox on the grounds in the electrical bay outside the driver's seat and also the ground bar in the generator bay. I have not done anything in the rear multiplex control panel, so will check that next. I appreciate your input.
  2. I have MCD shades throughout a 2008 Dynasty. The ones in the bedroom and cockpit work great. However, the ones in the living area are acting strange. When the switch is pressed, I may have one work and then another. Sometimes I just get a beeping sound. All the motors are good. It seems like I may have a low voltage problem with this one circuit. Most of the time, if I hold the switch, sooner or later they will all work. Has anyone had this problem and discovered a fix?
  3. I watched a video last week and the guy used a sawsall to cut the threaded studs off the old bags to get them off. He was able to get the blade in between the bag and plate to get this done. Is there any reason that this is not an acceptable way to easily remove the old bags?
  4. To get the top bolt broke loose, I was able to get a box end wrench on it and then used a floor jack with a piece of pipe to lift up on the wrench. Worked for me.
  5. I installed the starter last weekend and the result is excellent. There is one wire that must be removed from the original setup. It is a small wire from the starter to the solenoid. I think it was a ground wire. The top bolt is tough to get loose, but can be done with a bit of creativity. My slow crank problem is solved. Thank you all for the comments. This is a very good upgrade.
  6. I have received a positive response from the main guy on Monaco RV Owners on Facebook. He used this starter and said it corrected his problem. The starter is $200, all in, on Amazon. We ordered it yesterday. I will be removing the old starter today and will do some clean up and repaint my oil pan while waiting for delivery. Amazon has this starter in stock. You need to do a bit of research to make sure you get the correct one. The 4430 works on the M10 and M11.
  7. I am having slow crank issues with my 2008 M11 Cummins. I know I have proper voltage to the starter so figure it may be a starter solenoid problem. Rather than going the route of reconditioning the solenoid, I am thinking about replacing the entire starter with a Denso 4280000-4430, which is a gear reduction starter that has a lot of good reviews. Anyone have input that I should be considering before going this route?
  8. These work great! I bought the same kit from Amazon. No more crimping or soldering.
  9. this may be the Big Boy solenoid in the rear run bay. That device controls when the batteries are charged. I have had to replace mine twice.
  10. I see a lot of horror stories about this. Many have paid for this service and when it is needed, they sit along the roadside for hours waiting for a tow and often, no one shows up. I have decided to pay as I go. There are heavy towing companies out there you can call to get your class A moved. It is suggested that you pay by the mile towed. I am sure the towing company will know a truck repair place that is able to help you or you can do your own research in the area.
  11. I use a stiff bristle broom with a car wash/wax to do mine. I like the Rainex wash/wax. it helps to shed water.
  12. On our 2008 Dynasty, there is a ground bar on the outer firewall which can be seen when you open the generator bay. That may be a location to check.
  13. Yes. I removed the bed platform and the plywood cover below the headboard to get access to the entire mechanism. I have replaced two gears in my bed slide mechanism. I am not sure if your 2004 is similar to my 2008 Dynasty, but assume it must be. I was able to find both gears on Amazon.
  14. We visited an RV furniture place recently and they said that Flexsteel bought the leather-like material from a Chinese supplier and it failed miserably. They used a lot of it before the failures started showing up. I am not sure but think this may have had something to do with Flexsteel going out of business. They told us the new stuff that looks like leather holds up for many years. We must have lucked out because our furniture is made with real leather.
  15. There is a place in Alabama that sells surplus RV furniture called RV Salvage and Surplus. The location is Red Bay.
  16. dl-racing427, we use Stabil in our classic car when it sits for long periods of time. However, KarenG is not saying her RV will sit for long periods. Why put Stabil in the tank of something that will be used frequently? Do you use it in your daily driver? My suggestion is to always park it with a full tank of fuel and use Stabil if it will sit for several months or more.
  17. I do not use anything in my diesel and would not recommend any additives in your gasser.
  18. Yes. Amazon carries these switches. I recently bought several of them.
  19. I had a similar problem two weeks ago. I found that my Sure-Flo pump had a tiny pinhole in the plastic end cap. It was spraying a very fine mist that was hard to see. After a few hours, there was a lot of water in the bay next door, because that was the direction it was spraying. On my Monaco, the shore water runs through the pump. I imagine yours is the same way. I installed a new pump and and the problem was solved.
  20. I had the same problem so bought a T and hooked the center drain to the front so both drain up front.
  21. They had problems in the past with blowouts, but likely are okay now. You might want to consider Toyo tires. I put them on my Dynasty several years ago and have had zero problems.
  22. There is a single ride height valve that handles the front end and two on the rear. I ran into this on the rear of my dynasty. The ride height valve is either defective or the rod has come out of the holder.
  23. My Monaco has two different outlets behind the refrigerator, accessible from the lower louvered panel on the outside wall. One is labeled inverter. See if you have a similar setup. On mine, that outlet handles both shore power and inverter power.
  24. Moderator EDIT This was a new topic, but it should be in the current topic. It has been merged. Thanks for understanding END of EDIT Paul Whittle is the guy to rebuild your poorly functioning Intellitech wall switches. I just received a six button switch from Paul that I sent him a week ago. The thing works wonderfully. I have recovered use of one of the light fixtures that previously would not light up. Paul knows a ton about our multiplex lighting systems and I am so happy to be able to reach out to him when we have a problem. Thank you, Paul!
  25. I just zipped mine so we will see how things go tomorrow. Thanks for the advice.
