  2. Mel The Yahoo Monacoers Group no longer exists. When you log into the Home page you get the notice that the site is no longer accepting posts or Memberships. It is only an Email site. In the upper right corner of the Home page is the Icon for mail. when you click on the Icon it will take you to your email page. Any emails that you have saved prior to the site closing done will still be there and you can send and receive Emails like any other email site. Depending on how you set up you email account to send and receive emails anyone posting and sending an email you may get the email and you can respond to them. Hardly anyone is monitoring the site and I have left it up so that any late comers who go to the site will get the message we have moved and have the instructions on how to log into our new site. Eventually, sooner than later, I will pull the plug on the site and it will go away. I want to leave it up to give those Members who have not signed in to our new site the opportunity to do so. Unfortunately some members have not paid attention or read the instructions and will post in an email thinking they are posting to the group, which they are not. So, if you are receiving emails from some of these members try to educate them as I do and let them know they have to go to the monacoers.org web site and sign in to get help with their problem.

  9. We would lose the discount on the complete package,( RV Site and Evening meals) there is no charge for the Seminars. There is over a month before the Gathering and Lazy Days is accepting Reservations. Our 60 sites are locked in until February 1st. I am sure we will have a few members who are on the Fence that will make their Reservations and put us over the minimum.. And there is always the "Negotiation Factor". We were up to 56 confirmed Reservations, but had 8 cancellations in the past month for various reasons that some did not notify me on the Forum. I deal with this for every Gathering and I thought by posting early last year that it would improve the attendance. Last year we had over 60 coaches, I doubt we will get that many this year. This is a tough time of year for trying to fit the Gathering in where it does not interfere with other Venues or maybe there is just not that much interest anymore. Chris Throgmartin and Scotty Hutto have been a great help trying to spread the word to other Monaco groups to get interest in coming to the Gathering. We just can not get over that 50-60 coach barrier. It has been a Busy and Distracting Year, Moving to our new Website and dealing with all the Boggess Monacoers sites and forums has not helped either. No reason to panic!!!! See you all at the Gathering!!!!

  11. The December Update is correct and I will be posting another update for January in a few days with any changes if there are any. There are over Forty Eight (48) coaches registered. I will post the new number with the January Update.
  12. Members Our new site, "Monacoers.org," is up and running. We are good to go with the new site. Scotty, Frank and Larry have uploaded all the old group files and categorized them. Many members are signing in and registering and are using the new site. We are also continually testing it and trying to find holes and make fixes. Yahoo notified us back in October that as of December 14th, 2019 that all Yahoo groups that are private groups such as the Monacoers Yahoo Group will only be an email site and you will no longer have any access to data or files as they will disappear. You will only be able to send and receive Emails. All public Yahoo Groups will end. We have decided that the Monacoers Yahoo site will “Cease and Desist being a GROUP…..as you know it.” on December 31st, 2019. It will only be an Email site that will be used as just another email group. I will be shutting it down permanently. We, the Moderators will be focusing on our new home and improving it. You will lose all access to the files on the Monacoers Yahoo site anyway after December 14th, 2019, so we feel there is no need to continue the site which may only confuse members and potential new Members. Everyone received my post on Tuesday for joining our new web site and were sent an Invitation to join if you are a member of the Monacoers Yahoo Group. If you plan on joining, do it NOW…. The Moderators also appreciate the feedback and comments from those folks that are on board….and we are addressing, as fast as we can, some concerns….but making sure that the MAIN PURPOSE or SITE stays functional will be our priority. See you at our new home….monacoers.org
  13. Rich Yes the Groups.io format is the same as the Yahoo group. It was developed by the same individual who developed Yahoo. Over the past couple of years many of the members have asked for us to get away from the Yahoo Group as there was to many re-occurring problems and you never knew what monkey wrench Yahoo was going to throw at you. Now with their October Surprise that they were shutting down all Yahoo groups and would only remain an Email base forum we could have lost all our valuable info. On of the reasons we chose not to convert over to the groups.io format was that we would not own the site or the content and we could not be sure if we would not have the same issues that we have with Yahoo now. The other reason was that groups.io is not free and you pay a fee to have a forum on this site and there is no guarantee that in the future groups.io might not go the same way as Yahoo. As with all things, when there is change it will take awhile for some members to adjust, but our new home is great and is easy to use and you can do much more on it. We have no issues with groups.io, it was just not a good fit for the Bill D's Monacoers Yahoo group. We wanted something better and something we owned and had control over. The other site in question that is on the groups.io called Monacoers is a BOGASS site set up by a guy who stole, copied our parts list and our email addresses and was a member of the Monacoers Yahoo Group. We will not support him and if some one wants to be a member of his group that is OK. They just will not be allowed to be a member of the Bill D's Monacoers Group.

  15. You are now in the right group. Bill D's Monacoers.org is the Monacoers yahoo group that you are a member. I posted to the group on Tuesday that our new website was now up and running and that you would receive an Invitation to join if you were a Member of the Monacoers Yahoo Group. That was the invite you received from " An Administrator has created a new account at Bill D's Monacoers". I also stated in the notice that the MONACOERS@GROUPS.IO visualsc and groups .io were BOGAS sites started by a guy who pirated our parts list and other information from the Monacoers Yahoo Group to start his group. I also stated that if you were a member or became a member of that group you will not be allowed to be a member of the Bill D's Monacoers.org group. This guy is misleading our members into joining his group and will not be tolerated here. IF YOU WANT TO STILL BE A MEMBER OF Bill D's Monacoers GROUP, I SUGGEST THAT YOU CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP FROM THE Monacoers@groups.io GROUP We Welcome you as a member of the Bill D's Monacoers.org Group and hope you will stay. Please let us know!
  16. The January 2020 Update posted 01/08/2020 replaces the December 2019 Update to avoid confusion. See you all in February. __._,_.___
