Nealcj8 Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 How do I adjust my slide out on a 2001 Diplomat? The front bottom corner doesn’t go all the way against the side of the coach. The back touches all the way top to bottom but the front only touches at the top.
Ivan K Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 If three slide corners touch the wall at ride hight, it sounds like something is twisted. Are you really at ride hight?
Chargerman Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 Can you share a picture of it. Mine does not look like it tight at the front bottom either but in fact it is closed properly.
Chargerman Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 This is my slide. I can assure you that is in tight.
Nealcj8 Posted December 2, 2020 Author Posted December 2, 2020 Mine is not that tight. I can slide my hand between the seal and outside wall
Chargerman Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 Ok. Does your slide have the two rails underneath? Do you know what make slide it is?
Ivylog Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 If it’s a hydraulic slide hold the switch down for 5 seconds in both directions several times after it stops moving. Yes, I know this doesn’t sound like a good idea, BUT there is a 3rd synchronizing cylinder that needs centering. 1
Chargerman Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 Do you have the manual? If so there should be info on the brand. What about on the controller?
Nealcj8 Posted December 3, 2020 Author Posted December 3, 2020 Mine is electric, it’s got one motor and two tracks. I haven’t looked at the manual yet to see what brand it is.
hitechpete Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 If your system is like the one on my 2000 Diplomat, the motor drives a long horizontal shaft, to which is fitted a pair of spur gears. On mine, the spur gears are attached to the shaft with Roll pins, one of which may have broken, so the slide is only being driven from one end and dragged in at the other end. 1
throgmartin Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 It looks and sounds like it jumped a tooth on one of the gears. Common issue on bedroom slides with a 2 track system. Depending on what is on this slide will determine the access to the gears. Each coach is different. Some are accessed through a false panel, some have a hatch near the rear fender well which requires removing a rear tire. The combinations are different. If you want to call my office and ask to speak to my tech, Dustin he can walk you through your issue and help troubleshooting the issue. We are really busy at the shop so please be patient with him getting back to you. Here is Amy ( my director ) phone number 352-942-2653. Tell her I personally referred you and you need to talk to Dustin.
Nealcj8 Posted December 3, 2020 Author Posted December 3, 2020 Thank you very much I’ll definitely give you a call.
